Professors are good; just the infrastructure and water problems need to be addressed.
Placements: The placement percentage was around 65%, and the highest package was 34 lakhs per annum. Top Gear Consultant was the recruiting company, as far as I remember. About 78% of us, including me, got an internship. Top roles would be marketing manager and some HR. I didn't get any placement as I was interested in doing an internship.
Infrastructure: The facilities at the time I completed my course were quite basic. There were two libraries, and classrooms were big yet not in very good condition, especially the ceilings and fans, which were old and often faced water scarcity problems. There were too few toilets and bathrooms, and no Wi-Fi at all; if anyone needed it, you had to have a private connection. The mess food was good, unlike in other institutions, and I won't complain. Assamese cuisine is the most cooked here.
Faculty: Yes, there were a considerable number of good and experienced teachers, and the quality of teaching was quite nice at that time. As I remember, only a few teachers were not professional. The semester exams were not very hard, and everyone easily managed to pass.
Other: I chose MBA, and the best thing was that it was affordable, and the hostel prices were also good, as it was in Guwahati. I wish they had better infrastructure and also focused on extracurricular activities. There is an annual festival every year along with some programs in April for Bihu.
