Comprehensive learning with strong placements and a vibrant campus life at GITAM Bengaluru.
Placements: Approximately 95% of ECE students have secured placements. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Prominent recruiters include Oracle and Microsoft. Approximately, 60% of ECE students secured internships, with stipends ranging from Rs. 20,000 per month to Rs. 70,000 per month. Graduates have been offered roles such as SOC analyst, front-end developer, and back-end developer.
Infrastructure: GITAM Bengaluru ECE department offers advanced labs, Harvard-style classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a well-stocked library. Hostels provide furnished rooms with 24/7 hot water, Wi-Fi, and study areas. Mess serves quality food with daily specials, and the canteen offers diverse options. Medical facilities are available on campus for emergencies. Sports facilities include indoor games, badminton courts, and a gym. Campus promotes a balanced lifestyle with academic and recreational opportunities, ensuring students have access to essential amenities for learning and personal growth. Infrastructure supports a comprehensive educational experience with modern facilities and a comfortable living environment.
Faculty: Faculty members at GITAM Bengaluru ECE department are highly qualified, with many holding PhDs. They are knowledgeable, and supportive, and encourage a practical learning approach. Course curriculum is industry-relevant, covering AI, IoT, and VLSI, ensuring students gain the necessary skills for the tech sector. Teaching quality is excellent, with interactive and hands-on learning. Semester exams are moderately difficult and designed to test conceptual understanding and practical applications. Pass percentage is around 70%, reflecting a fair evaluation system. Overall, the course prepares students well for careers in electronics and communication, balancing academics with practical industry exposure.
Other: I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering at GITAM Bengaluru for its blend of theoretical and practical learning in AI, IoT, and VLSI. The best aspects include experienced faculty members, well-equipped labs, and strong placement opportunities. Improvements could be made in expanding industry collaborations and research exposure. Campus hosts vibrant fests, tech events, and over 33 student clubs. Located near Bengaluru Airport and Doddaballapur Railway Station, connectivity is excellent. This is a good college.
Placements: A good number of students are getting placed in our university. Compared to the previous two years, this year the hiring percentage is good. Final-year students are having placement training sessions at the college, and the university is giving good opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: In our university, there are level 1 classes, and there are digital projectors and AC. We also have a VDC for students who are interested in their own startup ideas, and there are faculty to give guidance for their startup ideas. The GITAM University hostel also has good Wi-Fi connections, and the rooms are clean.
Faculty: The faculty are very good, and they are helping students to get placed. They are giving important interview questions while teaching to help the students. However, the exams this year are a bit difficult because the management is starting to take care of student knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because of the thought of the growth of the internet, and I feel that many people don't know about IoT. But I guess it also has good importance for placements. There are fests and many events which have been conducted, and we can improve our connections by doing activities.

I would not recommend this college for middle-class students.
Placements: Around 60% of students got placements. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels and their rooms are very old. They are charging much for hostels. They are very far from the city. The metro is not available. There are very strict rules.
Faculty: Teachers are not very good. They just teach. They don't explain the topic. They are not highly qualified.
Other: If students want just a degree, they can join this college.

The reality of GITAM University Bangalore.
Placements: The placement at GITAM college this year is not meeting expectations. So far, approximately 150 students got placed, and only 4 got above 10 LPA. Oracle hired 4 students at a package of 15 LPA, which is the highest as of now. Other than Oracle, Tech Mahindra, Microsoft, MuSigma, and many other companies visited the campus. Everyone here has the opportunity to complete an internship at the university itself, but they also have the freedom to do off-campus internships.
Infrastructure: I must say that the infrastructure of GITAM Bangalore is world-class. Classes are equipped with air conditioning, soundproof classes, cameras, Wi-Fi, smart projectors, etc. The labs are top-class with very high-performance systems, and the greenery is up to mark. A touch is also given to sports life with a football court, basketball court, 4 badminton courts, a 400-meter running track, and a well-equipped gym. The hostels are well cleaned and maintained with daily service, and the food is healthy and hygienic, but yes, it will take time to get used to it.
Faculty: The curriculum at GITAM Bangalore is a little different. We have 70 marks for internal assessments and 30 marks for the main exam. In internal assessments, we have to write two assignments, 5 quizzes, and 2 mid exams. We get two weekend holidays, and even during weekdays, the college schedule doesn’t feel hectic with 3-4 classes a day. The teachers are well qualified, and the exams aren’t that difficult if prepared well. But the course content needs updating to become industry-ready.
Other: The reason I chose CSE at GITAM is to get that peer support. Some faculty members are extraordinarily supportive, and they sit with us to solve our problems. GITAM has a VDC as well, where they review our problem statements, help us make a product out of it, and guide us to take it to market and make it big. The fest and crowd here on campus are super energetic, with approximately 1 flashmob every month and 2-3 full-fledged fests each academic year. GITAM is best for peer support and fest life with academic push.

It's a moderate college for placement. You have to work a lot to improve your skills, that's all.
Placements: The highest package is 23 LPA, and the lowest this year is 4.5 LPA. The top recruiting company is Oracle and other startups and good companies. That's all. About 90% of students will get placed in GITAM School of Technology, Bengaluru. The college doesn't offer internships. That's all about the college.
Infrastructure: There are 3 hostels. The infrastructure is awesome. The food is ultimately tasty, no words to describe it, and they maintain good hygiene all over the campus. The library will be open from 8 in the morning to 9 at night, and on Saturday and Sunday, it will be open till 4 PM. 24/7 medical facilities are available. There is a hospital inside the hostel.
Faculty: It depends on the teacher. Some use PPTs and just read, but some teachers teach well to help score marks. I think in CSE, no students get ready for the industry. Passing marks are easy to get, don't worry about that. You just have to score 12 marks in the final, that's all.
Other: I took CSE, nothing special, due to high demand. I have taken this course but don't know about the future. Improvement is nothing. For the sake of now, it's good. It's an autonomous college, so they set the syllabus according to them.

Honest feeling about my experience.
Placements: The number of students getting placed is average, probably due to the current shortage in the software field. The highest package I've heard of is 25 LPA, but I have no idea what the lowest is. Companies like Accenture, Oracle, Mu Sigma, and TCS visit for recruitment. The roles they offer are data analyst, debugger, and so on.
Infrastructure: We have free access to the library and the internet, which is essential these days. Most of our assignments and internals are done online. I don't stay in the college hostel, but my friends who do say that the facilities are very good.
Faculty: I didn't feel any difficulties in my course since I regularly attend the classes and concentrate very well in the class. Exams are actually dependent upon the students themselves since we need to understand the concepts. If we understand, exams are easy.
Other: I was very interested in computers, which is what brought me to this course. The best thing about the course is that I fell in love with coding. However, I wish the labs were more frequent. Scholarships are provided by the government, but the amount varies depending on the student's caste. For example, SC/ST students get around Rs 80,000, while other candidates get only Rs 22,700.
