Review of GKM College of Engineering and Technology (GKMCET).
Placements: Around 80 to 95% of the students got selected in the campus placement drive. They are offered with sufficient salary and good fieldwork. People got higher salaries. Our college gives training for placements, branch training, workshops, taught good communication skills, etc.
Infrastructure: The college hostel is spacious and has a good atmosphere. The hostel has a large mess with good food. It is a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, and 4 members per room are allotted with a steel cot for each. There are spacious sports areas, morning tea, coffee, breakfast, afternoon lunch, evening coffee with snacks and dinner. Laboratories are spacious, and there is a large library with books, hard books, etc.
Faculty: In the curriculum, everything is perfect, and teaching staff members are also well-supportive. Training for each department, industrial visits, placement training, internships and workshop are conducted in our college and also arranged outside of the college, companies, etc.
Other: Our batchmates are very dedicated to their career, and everyone is very talented and good. Extracurricular activities are also very good on this campus.

Good infrastructure and facilities, and they should concentrate more on placements.
Placements: The placement is one of the disadvantages for marine engineering cadets. Students are mostly placed only in small companies, or else, we have to try jobs outside of this field. There are many companies conducting exams. Some are Synergy, Walem etc. Even if we want to get placed, we have to gain good knowledge to move forward.
Infrastructure: The college provides several facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, workshops, a separate library for marine students etc. The hostel facilities are there along with good food daily. There are gyms and swimming pools which are useful for students to relax.
Faculty: The faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable for marine students. The classrooms are provided with smart class techniques so that the students can be knowledgeable. The classrooms are equipped with fans, tube lights, and air-conditioners so that the students can concentrate on their studies without interruption.
Other: I took this course with my own interest to travel around the world and to know different cultures. Marine engineering is a vast subject. This can be studied only with interest.

It is a good college, but teaching is average.
Placements: Students who got placed from our course are very low because they don't have sufficient resources. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. There are no top recruitment companies in our college. Roles are offered to the students based on what we have studied.
Infrastructure: When I joined, everything was good, but after one year, everything is changed. Classrooms are good, and Wi-Fi is also available in the library. Labs are not up to the mark, but they are average. Hostel rooms and facilities are very good, but the food served was not good. Sports and games are good, and we have a good ground and gym.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, and all are well-qualified. They are knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is also very good. I don't know exactly that the course curriculum is relevant or not because everyone is teaching the same thing. However, students have to make it relevant, so it depends upon every individual.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like it.
