Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2017

A review of Goa College of Architecture.
Placements: The college doesn't provide placements directly, but a compulsory 6 month internship during the 4th year of the course allows you to establish contacts in the field to get a job after graduation. Individual faculty members and staff members also run firms and architectural offices and recruit students after graduation. They offer an average salary of around Rs. 22,000 per month to Rs. 25,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is minimal. It's not the best, but it's improving. The campus has a well-equipped library and computer lab with a printer, internet and Wi-Fi facilities. Other facilities include a canteen with decent quality food that is light on the pocket. There are several spaces to relax and spend break time. There are no game room or sports facilities in college. There is an attached hostel, but it is just for boys. The hostel is just about adequate.
Faculty: This course is a 5-year course. The course covers most facets of the field, from interior design to structural design and other related topics. Faculty members here are good, and some professional teachers help students a lot.
Other: This is the only college in Goa offering a course in architecture. It's centrally situated in the capital city and is easily accessible by public transportation. The college organises an annual college fest named Vistara which is one of the biggest fets in Goa. We also take part in several architecture-related events around the country that help to improve the whole experience.

Students need campus placements in the college.
Placements: The architecture is a construction and designing field, where one is trained more for designing spaces. They hired for one's skills on bases how fast one in using software and construction-related software. Since its a government college, they aren't offering campus placement, but one can always go out and seek for a job with better companies. The salary offered for the freshers is around 15 thousand in Goa.
Infrastructure: This college doesn't have an interesting campus, whereas, they are running two colleges under the same roof. One is Goa college of architecture and other is Goa college of Music. Hence, there is a space issue. One more issue is that they don't provide Wi-Fi for the students. We have a canteen with minimum space, but good quality of food is not provided. This college doesn't have its hostel, but they accommodate students in the nearby hostel which belongs to government Polytechnic Panaji, and it is not in good condition. The good thing is that the hostel is within walking distance. There are separate toilets for boys, girls, and staff. We have three audio-visual room. The best part is having an excellent line of facilities with good experience. It has a library with good books, and they get more by requirements and recommendation. We also have a computer with architecture related software which helps the students to improve in software speed and to stay tuned with the latest and upcoming software in the market.
Faculty: This college has an excellent line of faculty members, where most of them have done masters in this field. Each faculty is helpful and enthusiastic about their work. Each of them makes sure that students understand it well and homework is given periodically as mentioned in the syllabus. Each course has a specialised person to handle that subject.
Other: There is annual event happening called Vistara. Special student panel is appointed every year from the third-year batch, and they are given responsibility to carry out. Few more events happen like football, Arch Expo, etc., in this college.

Review for Goa College of Architecture.
Placements: The architecture is a construction field where we are trained more for designing. The batch was amazing but don't expect class unity; nobody is trustworthy. They hire those who are skilled based on how fast they are in software and construction. It is a government college, and they aren't offering campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very minimal. The college doesn't have a proper campus, whereas there are two running colleges under the same campus. The college doesn't provide Wi-Fi for the students, and other facilities, including the canteen, have minimal space, which cannot fit many students and with limited items. The college doesn't provide hostel service, but the good things are the library and the classrooms.
Faculty: The faculty at the college is exceptional, comprising experienced professors with expertise. Most of them hold master's degrees. They ensure that the students receive high-quality education. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:15, allowing personalized attention. There are viva exams almost every 2 weeks, so the faculty helps well with the work.
Other: This is the only architecture college in Goa. It is situated in the capital city, Panjim, which is easily accessible by public transport. The college also provides bus service free of cost. There are also many events at the college, including a fest called Vistara.

The worst faculty and infrastructure .
Placements: Batch was a good one everybody Are super helpful and energetic. But don't expect class unity nobody was trust worthy. They just come for the sake. Very few are serious with their career. Not people who will help you do better because They only don't know what they are doing .
Infrastructure: One of the most 3rd class infrastructure, a study environment is not provided by the college half of the fans don't work and Acs are ancient the remote are lost. And we were learning autocad 2007 in 2023 and no good software provided. Study from YouTube .
Faculty: The faculty here is useless If I had the option not to pay them I would have never paid because they never teach anything above all they fails people on purpose To take revenge and they grade you according to their mood not your hard work. Very partial towards few.
Other: Better you go to a better institution where they care for their Students not this 3rd class cheap shameless place which they call professional institute.

Yes, provided your PCM aggregate is at least 50% and overall percentage at least 50% and you clear NATA. There are only 40 seats of which about 50% are reserved seats so you need a good percentage and NATA score to get in. To surely get in under a general seat, your state merit rank must be between
