College is amazing and overall is a very good experience.
Placements: The placement cell of the college is very active and every year there is lot of placements which happened in the college. The top companies which come to the college are like Tata and infosys and many more. Nearly about 95% of students get placed every year and the roles which are offered are like HR of the companies and sometimes also the group heads after seeing their reports of the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good every department is provided with the specific infrastructure and the courses are available on a wide range for every field the Wi-Fi is provided by the college and the lab's classrooms and library is very spacious. The library is well-equipped with all the books related to every field. The hostel is very big and food of the hostel is very nice.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very good and knowledgeable they try to provide the knowledge to the students in every way possible and they also take the help of co curricular activities so that the students can explore in every field. The exams of the college are tough but if you study daily and keep yourself attached to the books you can pass the exams very easily. The pass percentage of the college is approximately 70 to 75%.

Excellent faculty, average crowd, average infrastructure .
Placements: SD College is one of the most reputed colleges in India but I never felt lucky being a student of this college in terms of jobs and internships. Students look for internships and hunt for jobs on their own, college doesn't really play any big role. Although, you are encouraged from day 1 to look for internships and prove your worth.
Infrastructure: The campus is average but the green and clean environment covers it all up. Some of the classrooms are very well furnished while some are below average. The library is a the place where you can have good 'me time'. It gets crowded towards the end of the semester though.
Faculty: From the sources, I know it's not easy to get in as lecturer in SD college. Therefore, teachers are too qualified. They know what they are doing. You will find most of them supportive and motivating. They push you and mentor you. The course I applied for wasn't really the best thing happened to me.
Other: I wanted to be a journalist and the teachers in the course made concepts very much clear. Coming to the extracurriculars, SD is renowned for arranging engaging and unique fests.

The college needs to provide better placements and internship opportunities.
Placements: Our college cannot help with a lot of placements as it is not a professional course. I think that our college can help students to get better internship opportunities. Our college is not a place for finding good placements because most of the companies offer very low salary jobs.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is in a reasonable and appreciable condition, and they also strive to keep improving the same. Our college has a very good canteen with good benches, and the canteen food is also affordable and good. It helps hostel students not to spend much and enjoy good food if they don't like their mess food.
Faculty: Our college faculty members in our course are very helpful, qualified and supportive towards their students. Professors always guide their students personally, and they are extremely well-educated. Our exams are conducted twice a year. Some of the teachers have an amazing teaching style, which impresses me.
Other: I think our college is offering the best of everything that is possible, and I am highly satisfied with it.

The best faculty and the first college to get A+ grade by NAAC.
Placements: There is a placement cell established in college for placements. Various companies like HSBC, cipla, infosys technologies, airtel bharti, DELL etc. Visits the college every year for placements. But the placements offered are not as good as some other colleges. Only a few students get a chance to get placed in a good company. Others have to struggle on their own. There are very less placements for B.A. students as compared to other courses like B.Com and B.Sc. Also the college does not offer internships to the students. They have to find it on their own which is really disappointing.
Infrastructure: The college is in a fine area, not that big. There is an administrative office,3 blocks for different departments,2 libraries (one digital), cafeteria and also labs for psychology, chemistry, physics etc. New blocks are under construction and quality of classrooms is okay but not so good. Labs are not well maintained because there are so many equipments that does not work. Cafeteria is so small and the food quality is not good. Classrooms have projectors and whiteboards which is a good thing but they are not AC Classrooms. I am staying on my own so I don't know much about hostels but so many students says that girls hostel is not at all good in terms of hygiene as well as food. There is a Wi-Fi facility in the college campus which is available only for students with laptops. Medical facility is okay and the ground provided for the sports is quite decent.
Faculty: The best thing about this college is the faculty. The teachers are really helpful and well educated. They are so chilled out and cooperative and they do not put burden on students for studies. They are always ready to help the students. This college is best in tricity in terms of providing good faculty and education. Also, this is the first college to get A+ grade by NAAC in the area.
Other: There are various events like biorhythm, vivacity, pecfest etc. Organised by college every year for different departments. Along with that, other festivals are also celebrated. Youthfest is the main attraction of this college. This college has won many awards in youthfest. There is a huge scope for students to present and polish their talent in the extracurricular activities.

Other: I would recommend this college to the students for the commerce departments. It has a good reputation in Chandigarh, being among the top most colleges of Panjab University. The infrastructure and facilities are good.
The crowd is good, as it is always a good thing to develop your social skills amongst the best.

Actually the 1st year is common for all and you can opt for hons in 2nd year, but yes with this much percentage you will easily get admission in GGDSD.
