SD College Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,Chandigarh

Placements: I have done my bachelor's from this college. The companies that visited for campus placement are Aircel and EY. Although the number of students that got placement from my college was quite low. The students were offered a package of around 3 to 4 lacs and the location was Gurgaon.

Placements: The placements in BBA are comparatively very low. In fact, there are no placements at all. Various companies did visit the college but none of them were there to recruit for BBA. While the course stood at the 13th rank in the northern region, the college failed to get us any placements.

Placements: For placements in Chandigarh after BCom, SD college is the best. Don't expect the type and number of companies which come to colleges in Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore. After BCom, you can expect companies or local firms offering you at least 10,000 per month depending on your practical knowledge.

Placements: Placements for NCAA students are average. There are companies like Wipro, TCS and Infosys which came for placement for a package of about 2 to 4 lakhs maximum. As a fresher one can opt for this package. Students are generally provided with the roles of data handlers, operations etc. They do not provide much of internship opportunities to students of BCA.

Placements: The placement is nearly 90%. The highest salary was around 1 lakhs for the ones who were selected as college professors and the lowest was Rs. 40,000 per month for contracts and stuff. Roles offered were teachers, professors, bioinformaticians and lab assistants, etc. About 50% got an internship from the college.

Placements: The placements were not up to the mark. Not many companies visited. The percentage of students who got placed were low, about 25% students got placed. Mostly financial institutions and training institutes visited the campus. The roles offered were of financial advisor, analyst, auditor, etc. The internship was provided by Ernst and Young only.

Placements: This college provides good placements opportunities. Placement of our senior batch was good. Infosys visits our campus every year and chooses a no. of students for placement and training as well. They will give you good opportunity. At our time, Wipro, TCS were also there for placements and number of students got selected.

Placements: According to me, the placements for bachelor of arts is average and the highest package offered is around 2 lakh and a minimum of 1 lakh, but the placements are 100% and the companies that visited are IBM, HDFC, TCS etc. but very few students got internships from this college.

Placements: The placements for B. Sc is average and there is 100% placement. The highest package is around 3 lakhs and the lowest package is around 1.5 lakhs. Some of the students got an internship from the college and multi-national companies visited the campus like Pepsi, TCS, etc.

Placements: Ernst & Young and IBM (KPO) were the companies that hired the students of commerce stream from our college. E&Y offered the profile of Associate Auditor, and the package offered was around 4 lakhs PA. The companies who came for the recruitment were very less, thus the placements were not up to the mark.

Placements: The placements were few as the college was good for studies and reputation. The companies visiting were few for BBA and BCom as generally, the people were from private businesses, while the other students went for further studies. Some of the students had opted for placements. most of the students got internships on their own.

This college is ranked as one of the best graduation colleges in Chandigarh. The college has a good infrastructure with a well-equipped library and a computer lab. The teachers have good knowledge about their domain. It offers great opportunities to students to showcase their talent through various events such as Viraasat- annual fest of college, inter-college cultural, sports and academic competitions. GGDSD has an excellent faculty. It can provide you with a great deal of theoretical knowledge but when it comes to practical knowledge, it lacks there. It teaches you management by making you participating in different fests but it does not provide you with a corporate exposure. The campus environment is really good and even the fees are quite affordable but is still a little on the higher side when compared to other colleges in Panjab university.
