It is a government college, and it is at its best.

Placements: Placements for the engineering college are always up to the mark, and none of the students is unplaced. T&P cells coordinator is the best-experienced person one can have. I got selected for 4 MNCs and joined Amdocs International by making Wipro, Cognizant and Persistent are optional to join.

Review of Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: College is good. At least 10 to 20 companies visit the college every year. Training and placement committee is good. They prepare you for aptitude and interviews as well. They conduct a mock interview and aptitude sessions for the students. The ambience is good where you get to prepare more.

The college provides good placements, but faculty members will disappoint you.

Placements: Placements in our college are quite good. MNC companies like TCS, Wipro and Cognizant visit our college for placements. In our batch, nearly 65% of students got placed. The maximum salary package offered was 6.75 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.36 LPA. Placements for our batch were comparatively good than our senior batches.

The college is focusing on global technological excellence.

Placements: The college provides great placements. Amazon visits here and offers a salary package of 20 LPA. There are 100% placements for computer science and engineering department. Companies like TCS Digital and Ninja visit the college and offers a salary package of 8 LPA and 4 LPA. Nvidia and many companies visit the college, and for civil engineering students, Reliance Ltd visit here and offer a salary package of 4 LPA.

Based on students marks and rank, students deserve this college as they won't get better than this.

Placements: The placements are not good in our college. Only 2-3 companies visit with an average package of 3-4 LPA are only expected. For the core branches, placements are negligible, but for CS and IT from past 2-3 years, placements have increased, and the average package also increased but with a minimal increase in amount.

It is a decent engineering college, which provides decent jobs for CS and IT department.

Placements: Placements for our batch were pretty good. Almost all students got placed. The lowest salary package offered was around 2.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 6.67 LPA. Profiles offered were more or less the same. The placement cell was very active. I am thankful to professor M. Deshmukh.

Review of Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: As we are from Nagpur, there are less opportunities and very little exposure as compared to metropolitan cities. The college provides the best placements for IT and computer students, but for other departments, it is less. So, if one urges for a job-seeking opportunity, then they can opt for CS or IT or can move towards some good cities, where better exposure could be found. There were almost 80-85% of placements in computer and IT departments and only 3-4% in core branches. MNC like L&T, Fiat, ...

The system followed in our college is not good.

Placements: The placements of GCOEA were very poor during 2017-2018. Companies offered very low salary packages. The average salary package offered was 3.36 LPA only, which was very less. Only a few companies visit our college for placements and offer more than 5 LPA salary package, which was very less. Internships provided here were also not good.

The college is below average.

Placements: In 2018, placements of our college were about 30-40%, and in the previous year, it was about 40%. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cybage, etc., visited our campus. The highest salary package offered by them was about 3.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was about 2.4 LPA.

Review of Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: Placements were good for the computer, IT and electronics departments, but there was less number of drives for core branches like mechanical, electrical and civil. In our class, almost 45 students out of 72 got placed. None of the students got an opportunity to do internships. The placement cell is good. They conduct training and mock interviews as well.

Better than almost all colleges in Vidarbha.

Placements: Placements are good enough. Almost 55 students (batch of 75) got placed in MNC's such as TCS, Wipro and Seimens, etc. Other opted for higher education. Only 4 to 5 were unplaced. For placements training programs called student development programs are conducted.

It is the best college in the region.

Placements: Placements of our college were very good. Approximately 80 students got placed in reputed companies. A seperate training and placement cell available in our college which takes care of the campus placements for all the branches. The stipend offered during membership varies from company to company.

One of the top Engineering Institute in Central India.

Placements: As the institute is very old, it holds the good name of itself among the top IT and other companies. Top IT companies comes as a mass recruiter while companies related to Mechanical, Civil and Electrical comes to recruit the top talent of the respective field. In the year 2018-19, top e-commerce company came to recruit a top talent for overseas location.

Satisfied because of the placements and faculty members.

Placements: Around 90% of the students in the IT domain get placed every year with an average package of around 3.5 LPA. Companies like Persistent and Cognizant, etc., visit the campus for placements. Every year the college organises a national-level technical fest named Prajwalan. Lots of extracurricular activities take place throughout the year, and our college organises events like alumni meet, technical festival, and gathering named Zenith.

I am satisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: The college provides very few placements for M.Tech students. Hardly one or two students get placed if any company visits the campus. The average salary package of 3.4 LPA was offered to my senior by L&T Infotech. None of the companies visited the campus for recruitment during my tenure. I was offered a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month as I have cleared the GATE exam.

The college has good placements, infrastructure, and faculty members.

Placements: There are a high number of placements for CSE and IT branches. Many companies like TCS Digital, Persistent, Cognizant, etc., visit the college for placements. For core branches such as civil engineering, Reliance company visits the campus. Companies like Fiat, etc., visit for hiring mechanical engineering students.

It is difficult for the students to survive in this college.

Placements: CS and IT students are getting good placements, but there is no scope of placements for the core branches like E&TC, mechanical, civil and electrical. Students have high expectations from the T&P cell because the students are brilliant, and the T&P cell is unable to meet the requirements of students. Maximum students are placed in TCS Ninja and Cognizant. Only a handful of students get packages over 5 LPA.

We hope that the batch of 2020 will get more opportunities than this year.

Placements: Placements provided for our seniors are quite average. Placements for our batch have not yet started. Around 80%-90% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 7.40 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. TCS Ninja, TCS Digital, Cognizant, Syntel and Samsung were the companies visiting for placements. Around 30%-40% of the students got internships. The highest stipend offered was Rs. 12,000 per month. We also have an efficient placement cell.

Helpful review of Government college of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: I am still in second year of my undergraduate. So I can't be sure about the placements of my batches. But by seeing the placements of the final year batch, I can say that they are well above satisfactory. Most of the batch is placed uptill now. So it can be said that the placements are good.

Really good seniors and faculty.

Placements: The college has a placement cell which is active and brings many companies to the college. The placement cell provides all the necessary aids which can be used in placements like organising aptitude classes and personality development classes. Almost 90% of the students were placed in the previous academic year.
