The highest salary package offered overall was 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.3 LPA. The average salary package stood at almost 4 LPA. Best for textile technology.

Placements: The placement of this college is not good for other streams, but in case of textile, this scenario is different. 100% of the students are placed every year in the college. The companies like Raymond, Reliance, Welspun, Vardhaman, Arvind are our major recruiters. The average salary package offered by companies is about 3.5 Lacs per annum. It may go up to 4.5 Lacs per annum.

It is the best college for students who got good rank in WBJEE.

Placements: Around 70% of students in our course got placed on the campus. From the last 4 years, every student gets placed. The lowest salary offered is 3.5 LPA, and the highest salary offered is 7.5 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc., visit our campus for placements. The college does not provide an internship opportunity for students. One has to do an internship on their own capability. The college provides 100% placements in textile and APM on campus.

Placements were good for textile and apparel students, and the teachers were quite helpful.

Placements: The college provides 100% placements for the textile batch. Placements for IT and CSE branches are around 75%. Companies like Welspun, Raymonds, Shahi Exports, Vardhamann, Reliance Textiles, and Voltas visit the campus, especially for the textile and apparel management branch. For IT and CSE branch, there is pool campusing, and students get placed in companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Oracle, TCS, etc. The salaries offered for apparel and textile batch are between 2.40-3.60 lacs per annum. The infrastructure is good, and the fee is minimal.

Placements: Placement scenario is not good in our department, i.e., CSE or IT. Companies like Oracle, TCS, Wipro, and Voltas, etc. visit our college almost every year. But the percentage of students getting placed is not that high. If you pursue APM or TT from this college, you will get placed for sure. There are students in APM and TT who get more than one jobs before the completion of their course.

Good placement in textile and A. P. M is main highlights. Other is good and family like atmosphere.

Placements: I am studying here from 2014. It is my last year in college. In this 4years, I saw placement by lots of good companies in this years in the field of textile. Like Raymond, Arvind, Reliance, Welspun, Voltas. These are really well known companies in textile industry in the map of india. The placement scenario is better in today crisis in engineering. Take admission only if it's your last choice and you can't afford the private colleges.

Placements: The placements are good for textile and apparel department, but for IT and CSE, it's not good. Previously, 60-70 percent of the students used to get placed, but this year, only one from IT and a few from CSE got placed in the companies like Wipro. Oracle visited the campus, but didn't recruit anyone. The salary offered was around 2.0 to 3.5 LPA. The placement scenario is troubling currently in this college for CSE and IT department.

The college has best infrastructure and highly qualified faculty.

Placements: There is a pool campusing for the CSE, but for the textile stream, the placement is too good. Since I joined the college, many students joined for the job, and all of them were my seniors. The most of the companies offered 2.5 lakhs per annum, and the position they offered to the student is operator or designer or programmer or software engineer etc.

Satisfied only because of hostel and as it is a government college.

Placements: I will rate placement as 7 out of 10. The placement was 60-70% that year and the previous year too. The highest salary was 3 lacs and the lowest was 2.5 lacs. Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra and Wipro visited our college and others as pool campus placements. They offered the role of Assistant Software Engineer. There were no students getting the internship from my college.

Review of G.C.E.T.T Berhampore, West Bengal

Placements: This year the placements were amazing. Although every placement was pooled and some other government colleges attended it too, the opportunities were amazing this year compared to last. Companies like Wipro, Adobe, Softronic, Fusioncharts, etc. came to recruit. Adobe was one of the highest payers with 22 lakhs per annum worth of salary, for female candidates only.

GCETTS - a good engineering college.

Placements: In 2015, 30 out of 30 students got placed in many companies like Oracle, Raymond, Reliance, BSNL, etc. In case of CSE, placement is entirely headache free. Only four branches are there such as CSE, IT, TT, APM. M.Tech is also done here in case of TT and APM. The average salary started from 20000 to 50000 per month.

Foremost thing about this college is that it is a Government College which is 107 years old which reserves all its heritage on its own. Earlier, it was only known for being Textile College but after the year 2000, Government have introduced IT and CSE department in this college. From my point of view, I would like to add some unbiased statements about this college which would help other students to decide. When you will enter first time in our college it would not look fabulous to you but you c...

GCETTS is a really decent college in West Bengal which is definitely worth the money you are paying.

Placements: So I am yet to pass out, but apparently companies are coming from this year; about 60% of students in CSE and IT got placed this year, and with an average package of 6-7 LPA with companies like TCS and Infosys coming in here. The placement scenario of textile technology depth. Has always been good. The highest package there this year was 20 LPA, and the average was around 10 LPA, and expect very few students, the majority got placed.
