It is a good college. It helps to gain more knowledge to build students.

Placements: All subjects are important, and students should study them carefully, so it becomes easy to get jobs. Part-time jobs are considered important by Indian students once they go abroad to study. Students can work up to 20 hours a week when classes are in session and up to 40 hours a week while the classes are not going on. It is not that difficult to find jobs on-campus at American universities.

All things are good. I think it is the best college, but I am dissatisfied with campus placements.

Placements: We didn't get any placements related to our branch. Even if any organisation visits our college to offer jobs to us, they are IT companies like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Students are very dissatisfied with the placement facilities.

I am dissatisfied with the college organisation. I do not recommend this college to anyone.

Placements: I am from the mechanical branch and 2018 pass out batch. Only 20% of the students got placed through off-campus. Companies do not visit our college for placement. The salary package offered to the students was 1.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered to two students was 3.60 LPA by TCS. Students did their internship in CTTC and other companies like Jindal, SAIL Rourkela with their own arrangement. Internships are not so fruitful as there is no use of this in the corporate sector. Dissatisfied with college as they cannot be able to bring atleast single company in 2017.

Placements: In my batch out of 200 students 15-20 got placed. No companies came to my college at that time. Also 60-70 students had joined courses offered by CTTC as internship part. Avg package was 3.6 Lacs p. a. they got selected from off campus. But now our college has changed a lot. This year tech mahindra came to our college for recruitment process.

Overall, our college is good.

Placements: Placements were pretty good for our senior and 40 to 50% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 11 LPA, and I don't have any idea about the lowest salary package. In our batch, 70 to 80% of students got an internship from our college, and the highest stipend offered is Rs. 3,000 per month. There is a placement cell in our college.

It is a better place to enjoy in natural areas like forest and waterfall.

Placements: Placements are not good as you have to attend off-campus drive through other colleges which is faraway from GCEK. The college doesn't provide placements. Only the AMCAT test is conducted here.

it is a good college for engineering students.

Placements: There is a training and placement cell. They conduct various training and placement for final year students. In the year 2019, TCS (tata consultancy services ) and Wipro visited our campus for placements. In mechanical engineering, Tech Mahindra visited for recruiting students. Also, summer training is conducted via the cell.

The college is very good.

Placements: The college is a new one, so the placement scenario is not good. Due to the college being new, companies are not interested to visit. But in the future, the placement condition will be better. In 2017, an IT company visited for placements.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the infrastructure of the college.

Placements: Placements in the college were not that good. We had to go to different colleges for off-campus drives. The salary package offered was only 4 LPA. The college didn't offer any internship opportunities for students. They don't have any dedicated placement cell, and the placements in this college are not that efficient.

Faculty are the best and the placements are increasing.

Placements: Our alumni got placements in TCS, Wipro, Mahindra Tech and Infosys. Faculty are very friendly and active regarding placements, and seminars are also conducted periodically. Our college is guided by TEQIP, and free registration is also available in NPTEL.

Good faculty, decent infrastructure.

Placements: Placements are not that good on campus, however being a government. College we do get invited to attend off campus drives in various other colleges like every year Wipro conducts its campus recruitment for 3 government colleges together, during our placements it was conducted in Parala Maharaj Berhampur. The packaged offered wad 3.2 LPA for project engineer position. We had another software solutions company Sun core on campus for recruitment. Students got offers from other companies through off...

The college has decent placements, great faculty and you get a good return on investment.

Placements: We had one software solutions company Suncore on campus for recruitment during our batch. The college is relatively new, so core companies didn't come for the placements. However, Wipro recruited students in a pooled campus drive held in PMEC Berhampur. Nearly 50 students on an average were placed on and off campus.

The faculty are qualified and knowledgeable.

Placements: As it was a newly established college, core companies didn't visit the college to recruit the students. However, we had a pool campus drive conducted by Wipro at Parla Maharaj Berhampur. Students from 3 government engineering colleges have participated in the placement process. The package offered was 3.3 LPA and the position offered was, project engineer.

Placements: The college is relatively new so during our placement period we didn't have core companies in the recruitment drive. We had a software company Sun core on campus and it selected 20 students. We had a pooled campus for 3 government colleges in Parala Maharaj Engineering College, Berhampur where Wipro conducted the recruitment drive and selected 12 candidates of which 4 were from our college. The package offered by Suncore varied from 3 to 3.5 LPA and that by wipro was 3.2 to 3.3 LPA and the posit...

Government College of Engineering, Kalahandi, Odisha review.

Placements: No placement opportunities. Good college to learn and study in low price. 500 km away from Bhubaneswar. So coaching facility for GATE and IAS is difficult. Self study is the only option.

GCEK is very good as compared to 2014 all facility available.

Placements: Many students from 2016 and 2017 batch are placed in different MNCs like Wipro, IBM, Tech Mahindra, CGI, I2S Solutions. Maximum students got placement are from computer science batch only. The core placement is nill. There were no on-campus placements in government college of the engineer, Kalahandi till date.
