Totally dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Our college provides placements for the students of mechanical engineering in companies like AGL and local small-scale industries, especially in Modasa. They offer a salary package of approximately Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 7,000 per month. Other than that, our college provides no other placements. Students here won't be dependent on faculty members, and they will study on their own.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. All kinds of labs are available, but only for demonstrations as no single machine can work. Our college doesn't provide medical facilities in case of emergency. Sports and games events are organised in our college but for a few students only.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have almost 10 years of experience. Most of the faculty members who recently joined have about 4 to 5 years of experience, but they don't have any kind of technical knowledge. They can not teach you without any book during the lecture. The college management is not good, especially in students sections who handle the whole documents of students. Mostly, 40% of the sirs are arrogant to give tips and solutions for students' problems.
Other: Every year, our college organises gaming events and general fest. The campus crowd is around 6,000 to 8,000 students.
The campus is located at state highway-59, in an open field of around 100 acres. Scholarships of around Rs. 7,000 are offered for OBC students in the first, second and third years of education. Approximately, Rs. 12,000 scholarship is provided for SC/ST students for 4 years.

The college is normal; there is nothing fancy about it, but it is good.
Placements: Placements in our college were not good. Sometimes, placements were provided to only computer engineering and information technology engineering students, and that too only 5% of the students got placed. Our college provides poor placements. Some companies visit our college for the placements of students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Wi-Fi facility is available, but it is secure with a password. The classrooms are good. Sports and games and medical facilities are available in our college. Quality of classrooms and labs is very good. Food available in the canteen is normal. Hostel rooms are also normal.
Faculty: Our teachers were helpful at any time. They were always active for students. Their qualifications are good, and all the teachers are knowledgeable. Our teachers provided good quality of teaching. All types of teaching methods were used including technical, theoretical, and practical. The faculty to student ratio was 1:40. There was no industry exposure provided.
Other: Events and tech-fest were conducted sometimes. Connectivity to the college is good. Scholarships are provided to students. Extracurricular activities are also conducted.

Government Engineering College, Modasa is a good choice for the best educational.
Placements: Our faculty members try their best for placements. They organise placement fairs for students. Students get placement opportunities from small-scale companies that are located in Ahmedabad and Modasa. So, don't think about higher packages. However, placements in Aravalli are good enough.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is best for studies. The college offers NAMO Wi-Fi which is given by the government. Wi-Fi connectivity is the best in all the departments. There are no data limit rules here. Classrooms are huge, and we have a hall for all departments to conduct an event or small functions. The college also organises sports and games week in February.
Faculty: All the faculty members are very experienced. They have in-depth knowledge of their subjects. They have more than ten years of experience and are very helpful in all kind of situations. Conventional teaching methods are used here, and some faculty members also use new techniques which are useful to score well in competitive exams.

Overall, it's a good college, but education here is not up to the mark like in Nirma, DDIT, etc.
Placements: I'm currently in 1st-year of B.E (computer engineering department). The highest salary packages are offered to the students of the computer engineering branch. Almost 40-60% of the students get placed through on-campus or off-campus placement drives. There are very fewer chances to get an internship here. Our seniors who got placed were offered a maximum salary package of 6-7 LPA. The placement cell of the college is not very active. However, professors would help you if you have good contacts with them. The average salary package offered is 2.50 LPA. Most of the companies visiting GEC Modasa are local state-level companies. To get a job in an MNC, you have to really work hard on your own because the college will not provide any assistance.
Infrastructure: Government Engineering College, Modasa is spread over a large area when compared to all other government colleges in Gujarat. The campus is lush green, and it allows you to concentrate and focus on studies easily. There is no noise or any pollution on the campus. The entire campus is enabled with NaMo Wi-Fi which is absolutely free for students of the college. There are huge sports opportunities available in the college. There is a vast playground on the campus for outdoor games, and there is a dedicated place for indoor sports. A special volleyball court and cricket practice grounds are available here. Some faculty members will also help you with your sports skills and will provide you with the required knowledge. You will get many chances to play for state-level and national-level sports events here. Some students from our college have won in Khel Mahakumbh and other state-level sports competitions. But the main advantage of this college is its reasonable fee of Rs. 1,500 per year.
Faculty: Teachers in GEC, Modasa are well-qualified. They are hired based on GPSC exams, and they all are good at their subjects. But you'll not get faculty members like the ones in IITs, NITs or any other top-level colleges. I think most of the faculty members here are not that knowledgeable to teach undergraduates and are also not active in any type of research. But they are better when compared to the teachers in private engineering colleges. Teachers only teach through textbooks, and they do not use any type of innovative methods for teaching. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:40. There is less scope of getting an internship here, so you will not be able to get enough industrial exposure. But in vacations, if you work hard to get an internship, then you can easily get one. The important thing is you have to learn by yourself and always keep yourself updated if you want to stand out from the crowd. The course curriculum followed in the college is outdated and is not very much useful. It is just helpful for your exams. If you want to get knowledge to build your profile, you have to work for yourself.
Other: All the events are celebrated in the college like Navratri Fest, Independence day celebrations, fresher's party, and even an annual fest is celebrated every year. You will not see that much crowd on campus on regular days because the campus is very big, and most of the students bunk classes if they have 75% attendance. Crowd can be seen around the campus on submission days and exam days. Overall, campus surroundings are good for studies, and you should get the advantage of it for your improvement. If you have more than 80 percentile in 12th board exams, you'll get MYSY scholarship which is around Rs. 12,000-17,000 per year. You'll also get other scholarships if you are from reserved castes (OBC, ST, SC). But if you belong to general category, then you'll not get other scholarships. If you are good at extracurricular activities like music, dancing, singing or acting, you'll get enough exposure to explore them and show your talent to the people around you.

The college is good except for its faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: The college provides good placement opportunities as they collaborate with GTU itself and provide really good exposure to students studying in this college. Companies visit the college to interview the students who got good results and the students who are talented.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't provide many facilities as you already know that it is a government college. But the college is worthful. You can save your parents' money and get a degree with a government college label. There is good exposure to the students who are interested in joining defence as well.
Faculty: The faculty members won't teach you as this is a government college, and you have to work on your own. Some faculty members have vast knowledge, and they can teach you in an incredible way. They will mentor you and clear all your doubts.

Very well satisfied with faculty members.
Placements: Yes, there is a placement facilities available in our college. But very less numbers of company's are came for campus interview and also not for all the branches. But we Also have internship policy in our college for last year's students those who interested.
Infrastructure: Yes, we have great infrastructure of our college. We have sports grounds of outdoor games as well as indoor games. The Wi-Fi facilities are available in all over the campus. Classroom are very comfortable and good lab with all the required instruments.
Faculty: Yes, we have huge numbers of faculty members in our college now. But past last 2-3 years there is less numbers of faculty in EC department and they don't have the proper time-table with all allocated lectures. But last year there is Recruiter faculty and now staff is full.
