Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty. Poor placements in 2016.

Placements: About placement from my batch, 10-15 students are placed and very few companies came to my college. There are no internship offers. About the package, off placed students scored around 2 to 3 lakh per anum. Companies that came were TCS, Wipro, Honda, Cairn, and Adani.

A brief knowledge about Government Engineering College Bikaner and my experiences.

Placements: Many multinational companies like TCS and Wipro invited the students of 4th year for their interview process. If I talk about my batch, I have completed my graduation from CSE branch in 2016 and I have got placed in TCS. In my batch of 102 students, almost 25-30 students are placed in either TCS, Wipro or other companies before our final exam. Recently, ECB's TPO has changed and the new TPO is more energised and concerned about the students' behaviour. Other branches also get a fair share in the...

Good faculty, decent infrastructure but poor placements.

Placements: Placement is not good. Very few students get placed. Highest Salary offered was about 7 LPA (Cairns India) and lowest salary offered was about 3 LPA (TCS). 4-5 companies visit every year for recruitment. But the number of students getting placed is very less. Assistant System Engineer’s role is offered by the TCS. Junior Engineer’s role is offered by Cairns. I don't think any student had got an internship from our college.

Fine college; survive on your own. Fine infrastructure and fine facilities.

Placements: Near about 10 students got placed in TCS in a batch of 90. So the percentage of on-campus placements is not so good. But off campus, if anyone has the skills, then he could excel easily. The salary varies from Rs. 3 lakhs per annum to Rs. 5 lakhs per annum. TCS visits every year. Training is given prior to interview (mock interview) by humanities department. Only 2 lecturers are appointed for that and they are good in providing sufficient soft skill training. When I was in 1st year, I was e...

If you want a state college with some good reputation, then it is a good option. Basically, it is not recommended to do your engineering from a state college because they definitely won't provide you proper engineering knowledge. What I think is that they can only give you a degree. Whatever, my opinion about college is that it's average.

Our college fee structure is reasonable.

Placements: Around 40% of students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered was around 4 LPA. The highest salary pacakge offered was 7 LPA. There were no top recruiting companies that visit our college to hire students. Only local companies visit our college for recruitment. Around 30% of students got internships in our college.

If you want to do B.Tech in computer Science at cheap price then do from here.

Placements: The placements are not good and the average package is 1.46 Lacs per annum and only about 10-20% of students are placed. Not many companies come here. If you do hard work from the 1st year then only your chances of placing will be high.

Review of Government Engineering College.

Placements: Only 2% to 3% of the students got placements from our stream. Cairn Oil and Gas is the top recruiter for our course, and it offers the role of graduate engineer trainee. For internships also, only a few got them. The average salary package offered was around 3 LPA to 5 LPA.

Average college nothing so great about it.

Placements: Average placements, it depends on your hard work. Recently my seniors got placement. Very limited companies are there for placement not so much contacts. 20% placements offered during 2019. College is not giving proper attention on placement.

Everything is well managed in our department but placement needs improvement.

Placements: 1. 3% of the students are placed from mechanical engineering. 2. 8 lac per annum maximum package offered. 3. Cairn Energy was the top recruiter. 6. Every student has completed their internships from different organisations. As I am in mechanical department so I got my summer internship from wagon repair workshop kotak.

Placements of 2015 were in good companies such as Adani.

Placements: Placements are not so good. Only 5-6 students got good companies. If you want to get selected then you have to secure 70% in every semester without any backlog. Whoever is interested gets training. There is a placement cell but you cannot rely 100% on them.

Review of Government Engineering College (ECB, Bikaner).

Placements: There are some placements in our course, but the salary packages offered are not very high. However, life is good with such salary packages. So, there are moderate placements, and companies visited ECB and selected some students. So, it is good.

Placement is normal, it depends upon the students

Placements: Company usually visit to mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation branch for decent package around 5-6 LPA. But they took very few students. A lot of company visit to electronics and computer Science branch but they provide very low package, around 2-3 LPA.
