Reasons to avoid GEC, Rajkot.

Placements: Around 95% students get placed every year. The highest package offered was 12 lacs and the average was 2.5 lacs. There are no top recruiting companies but a total of 25 companies visit the college every year for the campus drive. 100% students got internships from my course in many companies. Intern role is offered in my course.

Review about GEC Rajkot.

Placements: There is no placement record for BE Robotics and Automation at GEC Rajkot. This is a new branch, and there is less interest among students in this field. Some companies that do offer placements here include TCS, Mahindra, Adani group, and Reliance. The average package for other branches is around 4-5 lakhs per annum.

Don't join a government engineering college unless you are a day scholar.

Placements: There is no percentage-wise placement in my college; anyone can take part in placement. It depends on the placement cell head, who decides whether you are going for the interview or not. There are 25 companies that come to our college yearly, and you are eligible for the interview after you arrive in the 6th semester. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the average package is 2.5 LPA.

Dissatisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: I am currently studying in the 6th semester. From my experience of the last 5 semesters, the college is good. I think about 40% of students get placed, and I remember the higher package offered in the mechanical branch was 6 LPA, and I don't know about the lowest package. The top companies that arrived at our college were Jyoti CNC, Ravi Manufacturers, and many other companies of Rajkot GIDC. The internship rate of the students is low, and the top roles offered in the mechanical course are junio...

I am absolutely dissatisfied here.

Placements: I think from our college few students got placed from our mechanical branch because many students are from villages and lack communication skills, and they are not prepared for the industry. However, many companies visit our college like Jyoti CNC, TCS, etc. Many low-grade companies also visit here for placements. I think a very less percentage of students got placed like about 25% to 30% of students.

Very dissatisfied except Wi-Fi.

Placements: Currently I am studying in 8th semester and not a single student from our batch has placed in a company or anywhere else. Actually core companies of our branch not coming for recruiting students and that's why students from our branch and batch not participating in placement activities. So placement activity is very bad in civil engineering department.

GEC Rajkot is a growing institute with superb faculty members to learn.

Placements: Placements in our college are below average to average. The placement cell is inviting companies but they do not offer salary packages exceeding 1.8 LPA. They are trying their best to provide the placements, but in our area, the salary packages can only be to this range and technical roles are not encouraged.

Not satisfied with the college environment and the teaching methods.

Placements: The placements are good for our branch. Almost 20% of students got placements. The average salary package offered is 3 lacs per annum, and the lowest salary package is 1.50 lacs per annum. Some known companies like Jyoti, Eckovation and many more local companies visit our college for placements. The roles offered to students are as per their ability, and the selection of students is based on their marks. Around 50 to 60% of students get internships.

I'll suggest noone to take admission in GECR as its placement rate is less and package is also less.

Placements: In Goverment Engineering College Rajkot of EC department A total of 140 students were placed. Most of them takes admission by giving GUJCET exam. When we talk about package maximum 6 Lpa and minimum 1.4 Lpa packages are offered. An average of 2Lpa is offered by companies. Some companies which comes for our courses are reliance , Infosys , ISRO .... About 25% of students get internship from GECR in Reliance, Infosys , Akash If we talk about course than it's worker or manager. If we talk about a...
