Omandurar Medical College, Chennai, all you need to know.

Placements: There are 100 students in the class. This is a government college so the fee structure is very much affordable. There are so many scholarships available for students, and the internship is mandatory for every student passing the final year exams. There are other courses like MLT and paramedics courses too.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty members, facilities and good passing percentage of the students.

Placements: I am a third year student. I will pass out from this college in 2026. The students of this college are eligible for working as general practitioners in any hospital. For working in any government hospital, we have to clear UPSE. For getting PG admission, we have to clear NEET PG. About 90 percent of the students are capable of achieving this.

The best college in Chennai.

Placements: It is a medical institute so there are no placements. For medical institute, every student who passes all the years, gets a medical degree and further applies for government jobs or in a private hospital as a doctor. The doctors get many options after completing this course.

Government college with good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: We've just had our first batch pass out and are doing their internship. As of now, we don't know about PG seat placements but the pass percentage is good for every year. The hospital was dedicated for Covid-19 treatment and hence most of the present interns have an experience in epidemic management in addition to the normal hospital proceedings and clinical cases.

It is a medical college with good infrastructure, facilities and best faculty members.

Placements: As it is a medical college, placements in government sectors depend on the vacancies, and it's pretty easy to get a job in the private sectors as well. People are studying for NEET or next exam after MBBS to get a PG course. You can also open a clinic in rural places to earn well. MBBS doctors in private can get Rs. 30,000 per month. In the government sector, it is Rs. 50,000 per month. It is better to study for PG entrance and pass to get into some speciality like MD or MS, and you can earn in...

Very much satisfied with my course and college.

Placements: Once you complete your MBBS there is a lot of branches in which you can pursue your specialisation. Every branch of medicine has got its own importance. And of course you can practice medicine whenever you want after getting your MBBS degree. After four years we have one year of internship for which we will get stipend. And we can really learn a lot of things in the last one year.
