Review of Government Polytechnic, Mumbai.
Placements: Almost 100% guaranteed but limited seats in this course. After this course, you will easily get 20-25 thousand salary as a fresher. There are very well-known companies that can give you internships like CEAT, United Rubber, Jayshree Polymer, and others... and 100% vacancies for internships given by the college. After this course, you work in the company as testing technologies, polymer specialties, marketing executive, production engineering, and more...
Infrastructure: Facilities available in department: AC classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, testing machines, workshop. The food can improve by college in canteen. And very less focused on sports in this college also timing is very bad like 9am to 4pm close. So no one plays in the ground because most of the students come from long-distance areas.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Overall teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum is relevant and very accurate, making it easy to study and secure a job in the industry. Semesters are not too difficult because of well-explained teachers who are very helpful and calm while teaching. There is not a high percentage required for admission, but you have to study well to secure a job in the industry.
Other: I chose this because of my family reference. This course is not well-known in society, but it is a very good choice this year because of the low awareness and high demand for students.

It is the number 1 diploma government college in Maharashtra.
Placements: From the last 2 years, the placement was really amazing. All my seniors were successfully placed with packages of 2.4 lacs per annum and get accommodation including food, travel, flats and internet charges too because our teachers teach us very well and they had a proper workshop twice a week. Electronics and architecture departments placement are not good but civil, mechanical, and plastic mould technology placement is superb.
Infrastructure: Government Polytechnic is the top government diploma college. There are no medical facilities but has a Jio Wi-Fi, labs, projectors classes, sports, games. The labs are not too good, and it's below than the average. The Wi-Fi facility is available in the canteen and hostel rooms. The food quality is also very good with RO and UV water and has a park too.
Faculty: The faculty are very polite and responsible. Their teaching method is just average, but they are very knowledgeable. All the professors are PhD holders. We get an industry exposure once at the end of the semester. I am pursuing plastic mould engineering, and theoretical matters wise, it is good, but practical methods are not good because the college does not have many machines such as CNC machine and mould making machine etc.
Other: There are no ragging issues. Don't expect any freshers party, farewell, annual functions in the college. Don't expect proper lab especially for plastic mould engineering and rubber engineers. The food quality in the canteen is very good. The hostel food is average but very hygienic.

In labs, every equipment, apparatus and chemicals are available with security. The library is good because all books are available. Branch change after the first year only depends on the college or university in which you are studying. We can't say university allows you or not.
