Life of a B. Pharma student at GRT Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research.
Placements: The placement in the college is average, and most students got placed in various medical pharmacies and top hospitals. Some of the top recruiting firms are Apollo Hospital, Kauvery Hospital, MIOT Hospital, and so on. The major roles offered were pharmacist, medical representative, quality control associate, drug inspector, and so on. The highest package offered last year was around 12 LPA, the average package offered was around 4-5 LPA, and the lowest salary offered was around 3 LPA. Only a few students got internships for the last batch, with around 30% securing internships last year, but this year it might be a little higher.
Infrastructure: The campus is vast with a lot of garden areas and playgrounds around the college. However, the college might give you a school impression, as it can be strict in some situations. The college has Wi-Fi facilities, and the labs are a highly recommended part of the college. The classrooms are quite good, and the college has a separate library where many books are available exclusively for college students. As a day scholar, I don't know much about the hostel, but one of my friends is staying there. The hostel is well-maintained, but the food may not be up to the mark. The canteen is well-established, and a variety of menus are available. The college has its own hospital where students can be treated in case of emergencies.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and helpful for the students and many staff often teach practical sessions where the students can gain practical knowledge. The course are relevant and makes the student industry ready. But the thing is, even though you perform well in internalThe teachers are well-qualified and helpful to the students, and many staff members often conduct practical sessions where students can gain practical knowledge. The courses are relevant and make the students industry-ready. However, even if you perform well in internals, the staff will provide just a pass mark, which is not acceptable. If you study, you won't be able to clear your semester exams, but if you study properly, then it is easy to clear the exams. The minimum pass percentage is 50%.
