An overview of Guru Nanak College.
Placements: People who scored more than 60% are placed in our course. The average package is arounf INR 3 Lacs. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, Accenture, Sutherland, Teach Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, HDFC, etc. Till 2023 I don't think college offered internships. But from 2024, the college offers internships, placement training, mock interviews depending on the academic performance, skills and how well we prepare for the interviews.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern teaching aid like projectors, smartboard to enhance the learning experience. There are 2 libraries- Central Library and Digital Library. The college has more than 7 labs related with Science and Computers. Separate hostels for male and female with basic amenities and good food. College gives more importance to sports including both indoor and outdoor games. College provides free medical services to the students. There are 2 canteens and 1 cafeteria which serve chats, snacks, juices, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly friendly. They often encourage students to participate. Curriculum is followed as per University of Madras regularly updated to align with industry trends. Semester exams are not much difficult as half of the marks can be scored in internal assessment. Pass percentage for UG is 40 and for PG is 50.
Other: I chose this course because this might be helpful for doing professional course. The Guru Nanak College offers various scholarships to deserving students based on merit and financial needs, it also provides fee concession to the students from economical disadvantage backgrounds. The college environment promotes learning and personal growth with numerous extracurricular, events, and opportunities for the students to engage in different aspect of campus life. Only Pongal celebration is conducted as a grand fest.

I gained a good experience in this college.
Placements: Above 70% of all students get placed. The average salary package offered is 2.4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Sutherland, etc. Many students got internships in many companies and also in CA firms. Top roles offered are marketing assistant, sales manager, sales assistant, admin assistant, accounts executive, BPO, etc. Many local companies also visited our campus.
Infrastructure: In our college, we have all labs and a useful library. We learn many things outside the course too. We have a good canteen and it is economical. We have medical facilities for emergency. Sports and games are awesome. Wi-Fi is not good but other things are excellent.
Faculty: Teaching is excellent and it makes students fly into the industry. The exams are quite thinkable and the pass percentage is 40% (both have to get 20% in both internal and external). The teachers are more helpful to us and they teach us in an understandable way.
Other: This course has projects and needed to improve more modern subjects. All other activities in our college are awesome.

Guru Nanak College is the best college of all time.
Placements: About 60-70% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 33,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like E&Y, BPOs and Bharti Airtel visit our campus for placements. An internship was purely based on the project, which was owned by the students themselves.
Infrastructure: Our college is one of the few colleges in the city to be seen as a lush green campus. The new buildings raised up after 2015 with 3 floors and 7 classrooms. Classrooms are highly spacious to accommodate more than 100 students, but the entire strength may land up between 60-80 students per class. There are many different labs which include more than 5 computer lab, chemistry lab, bio lab, physics lab, math lab, research lab, etc. Decent Wi-Fi connectivity is available. The library is huge, with more than 10,000 books. I am not a hostel student. Quality of the food served is good. Medical facilities are available. The college is renowned for sports. Our college conducts sports activities for every game.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are highly qualified. They help the students in all fields. Their teaching quality is very much appreciable. The course curriculum is planned correctly, and it will make the students ready to face the corporate world.
Other: I accidentally landed upon the best choice of course in the right college, where I thoroughly enjoyed my all 3 years both as education and extracurricular wise. Our college should help the students to provide an internship to improve our course. The college will give a huge exposure to the diversified field where you will be attending and conducting events, fests, both inter and intra-college events at state and national levels.
