B.Com. in Accounting and Finance - Batch of 2025

An overview of Guru Nanak College.
Placements: People who scored more than 60% are placed in our course. The average package is arounf INR 3 Lacs. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, Accenture, Sutherland, Teach Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, HDFC, etc. Till 2023 I don't think college offered internships. But from 2024, the college offers internships, placement training, mock interviews depending on the academic performance, skills and how well we prepare for the interviews.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern teaching aid like projectors, smartboard to enhance the learning experience. There are 2 libraries- Central Library and Digital Library. The college has more than 7 labs related with Science and Computers. Separate hostels for male and female with basic amenities and good food. College gives more importance to sports including both indoor and outdoor games. College provides free medical services to the students. There are 2 canteens and 1 cafeteria which serve chats, snacks, juices, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly friendly. They often encourage students to participate. Curriculum is followed as per University of Madras regularly updated to align with industry trends. Semester exams are not much difficult as half of the marks can be scored in internal assessment. Pass percentage for UG is 40 and for PG is 50.
Other: I chose this course because this might be helpful for doing professional course. The Guru Nanak College offers various scholarships to deserving students based on merit and financial needs, it also provides fee concession to the students from economical disadvantage backgrounds. The college environment promotes learning and personal growth with numerous extracurricular, events, and opportunities for the students to engage in different aspect of campus life. Only Pongal celebration is conducted as a grand fest.

Review of Guru Nanak College
Placements: Around 30 percent of the students get good placements in big companies such as Infosys and TCS and the average salary is 20000 per month and many students gets around 12000 to 15000 per month.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and infrastructure are very neat and clean it is surrounded by full of trees. There are many shades where very little sunlight is available and it's very good as such it is super neat and clean.
Faculty: The faculty is very friendly and they teach very good and teaching methodology is very nice and interesting.
Other: Use the resources they provide. There are many clubs where you can make yourself better.

An honest review of GNC Chennai.
Placements: I'm a third-year student, and so far the only companies that have visited our campus are Accenture and TCS. The list of students applying for jobs at these companies is low because they want people to work on systems that are irrelevant to the skills we've learned in our coursework.
Infrastructure: The curriculum is well structured, but some minor tweaks could make it even better. The wifi is poor. The students' free wifi is only for show, as it never works. Some classrooms have smart class features. The library is okay, but the computers are always broken.
Faculty: The faculty is mediocre, but some of them are knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant but needs some changes to keep up with modern trends. Semester exams are fairly easy with the most basic preparations, a student can pass. However, many students fail their semester exams.
Other: There are no fests in the college. Events are limited. If you are a sports student you can consider this college because that's the only thing this college takes seriously.

Absolutely satisfied with the good campus and friendly faculty members.
Placements: Yearly, 60% of students got placed in the big companies like Zoho, Accenture, and TCS. The highest package offered up to 12 lacs. The lowest package is 2 Lacs. The average package is about 6 to 7 lacs per annum. Top roles offered are like senior sales executives.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college and hostel will be good compared to other colleges in Chennai. The food provided will be healthy and hygiene. The hostel provides good security and food. The course offered will be more selective for the students.
Faculty: All the teachers will be highly talented and qualified. The course curriculum is relevant according to the teachers. Experienced teachers will be more fun with the students. All the faculty members will help the students to become bright in the future for the welfare.
Other: Events and extracurricular activities will be excellent in the college.

Beautiful college with pleasant view all around the campus.
Placements: The class size is about 30–40 students. The highest salary offered is around INR 60-70,000, and the lowest is around INR 30,000. If we have high qualities, we have a 40% chance of getting into a top company. Scholarships are provided to eligible students, and placements are done through campus interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at this college is enormous and includes a library, labs, and canteen. Wifi is available throughout the campus. The hostel environment is good, but the food is only average. Hostel fees are quite high, but it's a good place to make friends.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The semester exams are above average difficulty level and the syllabus is based on Indian Delhi institutions of ba economics. We have 2 semesters per year. The syllabus is useful for aspirants preparing for government exams.
Other: I got to know about this college through online websites. I was eager to learn more about the college and the courses it offers because I wanted to pursue a career in economics. I found that the cultural events and other departmental programs and seminars were quite good.

Review of Guru Nanak College.
Placements: Not much in terms of placements; we have to search for jobs outside of the college ourselves. The SAS company is combined with our course and provides internships for selective members. If we do well, we can even get placed in SAS company.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are really good in Guru Nanak College. They have installed smart boards in all the classrooms, and they also use projectors to teach us the portions. They conduct seminars often to gain some corporate knowledge, and there is a library available.
Faculty: Teachers are good; they teach us well enough to understand and are very supportive, training students well for exams. The semester exams are pretty moderate here, but if we put in our efforts, we can pass easily without any arrears.
Other: Good events are conducted often on campus, and there are many extracurricular activities where we can showcase our skills.
