It is a very interesting college, and we learn new things every day.

Placements: Around 80-90% of the students from our course were placed. The average salary offered in our course was Rs. 15,000 per month. Many top recruiting companies visit here for placements. Electrical technology is the base of everything, and we cannot survive without it. Around 80-90% of the students got internships.

Fantastic destination for completing our B.Tech and placement maintain their mark every year.

Placements: Generally, the first preference is given to the talent and skills of the individual student and not dependent on percentage and companies like TCS, Wipro and others will recruit with the highest package of 18lakhs. Internships are offered for every student.

The college provides good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Almost 20% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered is 3.2 LPA. Capgemini was the top recruiter. Basically, IT companies visit the campus for recruitment and roles they offer is GET, i.e., graduate engineer trainee. But in the long run, the profile depends on your capability and knowledge.

Good campus, good placement but as I mentioned, some disadvantages too.

Placements: Every year almost around 80% students from CSE department get placed in different IT companies. This year, I. e 2020 passout batch who are currently in their 7th semester, has experienced on campus recruitment of Persistent, ITC infotech and Capgemini and to best of my knowledge, 30-35 students from CSE department GOT placed in these companies. Upto now this year, the highest package was provided by Capgemini, 3.8 CTC PA. Students from CSE and IT has lifted the championship title of Smart Indi...

My college positives and negativities.

Placements: For my super-seniors the placements were really good. Out of 120 students 100 were given placements by our college. But for our direct seniors now there are not many companies visiting our college. And the jobs offered are mostly for marketing purposes. Why would an engineer prefer marketing jobs.

Review of Guru Nanak Institute.

Placements: Placements in our college were good. The management will provide maximum placements for students, so there is no need to worry about placements. The management will provide training for students to get placed in some companies. Almost 60% of our seniors got placed in different companies. The salary packages offered from 1 LPA to up to 35 LPA.

Teaching facilities are very good, but the placements are the worst.

Placements: The college provides a chance to get placed in various well-known companies. Most of the companies that visit the campus are from the IT and BPO streams. The basic salary offered is very low. We are getting an average salary of Rs. 10,000 per month for diploma students. The highest salary offered is up to Rs.15,000 per month. Companies are also offering jobs at Pune and Bangalore with very poor salary package.

The college has great infrastructure and faculty and good placements.

Placements: Many renowned MNCs like Capgemini, Cognizant, Amazon, etc., come for recruitment. Other than IT companies, companies like Johnson also come for campusing thanks to the placement cell, which is getting better every year and is facilitating students with as many options as possible.

Satisfied with faculty as well as college infrastructure.

Placements: When it comes to placements, GNIT leaves no stone unturned to bring the top of the line companies for their students so that every student can secure a good job. To sum it up, GNIT provides good placements provided the students must fulfill the placement criteria.

Despite its pros and cons, I love my college.

Placements: The placement condition in the college is bad. We attend the placements of only three MNCs, and all the others are BPO and call centre type profiles. They hire only one student out of 500. As a B.Tech student, I got a job in NETpro System in April 2018 from the college placements. As a computer science engineer, I have to work as an HR executive, and you can understand how frustrating it would be.

A brief review of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Kolkata.

Placements: Placements in the college are good enough. If you are knowledgeable and sincere at work, you will surely get placed in the campus placements. Every year, at least ten companies visit the college to hire the students. If you are a student of CSE/IT, there are more chances of getting placed. Some companies like ITC, Persistent, Capgemini, IBS, etc., visit the college for placements.

Getting admission in Guru Nanak Institute of Technology is a mistake.

Placements: The placements of our college are terrible, as of now, only one student got placed in 2019 batch. The companies aren't willing to visit our college. Placement percentage is less than 10%. Even my seniors are struggling to get a job, and not because they weren't good at studies but because the college didn't play its role as it should.

It is the best college in Kolkata.

Placements: Placements start from the end of the 3rd year or maybe before the 3rd year sometimes. The placements provided by our college are better than other colleges. Other colleges also participate in the placement process conducted by our college. Most of us were recruited in different well-reputed companies and are also offered good packages.

Well-disciplined and very good faculty. All type facilities are available, but placement is poor.

Placements: In my college, the placement is poor, especially in electrical branch. We have pool campusing system in total JIS group, so competition is too tough. Very fewer core companies come to the college, and even if they come, they recruit 3-4 candidates. Most of the companies are IT companies. In previous year also the placements were poor. Some companies came but offered only salary package of Rs. 10,000 per month- Rs. 15,000 per month. We have a placement cell. They are efficient for training purpos...

The college is the best part of your life.

Placements: The training and placement cell of the institute is very helpful. Being a private engineering college, we mostly have pool campusing. MNCs like TCS, Capgemini recruit via pool campusing of JIS group of colleges as a whole ( includes JIS Kalyani, Narula Institute of Technology, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College etc.). Many other companies come for recruitment which includes both IT, BPO, BPS, and B2B sales. The MNCs generally provide a standard p...

Placements: The placement is for needy students. Don't expect 100% placements from this college. GNIT college gives on campus placement opportunity. Tech Mahindra, TCS, Capgemini, Amazon, Coca-Cola, IBM & more companies are visited & offers job also with very good salary R.s 15,000-20,000 per month.

In short, this college is an average college.

Placements: The placements are not great but not poor, it is average. In the college, the main recruiters are TCS, CTS, and Tech Mahindra, etc. Some banks also visit, DBS, etc. The average package offered is between 2.75 to 3.25 Lacs, and the highest package is about 6 to 7.5 Lacs, but only a few students got it.

The campus is good and the placements of the college are up to the mark.

Placements: More than 70% of my batch and senior batches got offered from MNC's like Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, IBM etc. Some of my fellow batch mates got an offer from core companies like Larsen & Turbo etc. The average salary is around 3 LPA- 4 LPA having the role of programmer, data analyst, network engineer etc. Few went for MS degree from foreign universities like in Germany, US. The placement cell is very helpful. In recent years it got wider and tried to organise many challenging events, tieing up with...
