I try to be as honest as I can. I also take help from Shiksha before entering the college.

Placements: As I am in the first year, I heard about placement from my seniors. I must say the placement is really good here for those who are in CSE, ECE or IT. But the placement for core groups is worse. You have to be ready for GATE exam if you are admitted to the core group. The highest placement this year goes up to 12 lakhs per annum, and the average is about 2 lakhs per annum. Amazon, TCS, Capgemini, many sales companies visit the college for placements, but you should know they don't hire many peopl...

There is good infrastructure but not good faculty.

Placements: The placements were very poor in our branch, but for seniors, it was best. 15% to 20% students were placed, that too in IT company. Very few core companies visited the college. Highest salary offered was 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. The companies like Tech Mahindra, ITC, Erricson visited the campus for placements.

From the college student of GNIT.

Placements: Placement is good, but not enough for every student. The college holds no direct campus placements. The college provides the details of off-campus drive held in another college to the students going for campusing. In my season, 7 students got placements including me, Until which I am writing this review.

I think some faculty must be changed, that's good for the students.

Placements: The placements are good for the senior batch. Approximately, 70% of the students were placed. 20k is the highest salary offered, the lowest salary is 10k, and the average is 15k. They are basically offered to the students in software development. 80% of the students got the internship from college.

Dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: GNIT comes under JIS group of colleges. Problem with this group is that there are many colleges, I guess 6 to 10, and placement happens for all the colleges together. Since good companies like ITC, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. pick a maximum of 15 to 20 students from our group, hence it turns out to be, only 2 to 3 students from a college getting placed in a company. Also, a number of companies which visit the campus are very less. From on campus, only 20% to 35% of the students get placement from t...

Mainly TCS, Capgemini visited the campus. 5 percent of the students got the internship. The highest is 2 lacs per annum, and the lowest is 1 lakh per annum. There is a placement shell, and it is efficient.

The college has a good placement in 2015 with good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placement was good enough for the students. Several companies like the TCS, Ericsson, Hexaware, Amdocs, Tech-Mahindra, etc., have visited our campus. The highest salary offered was about Rs. 3.0 LPA and the lowest was about Rs. 2.7 LPA. Most of the candidates were offered the jobs with the designation of an assistant software engineer.

Guru Nanak Institute of Technology is best for the placement opportunities.

Marks system is not good. They judge us based on our past.

Placements: Last year, the placement was average, and the placement condition is not good this year. 20% students were placed till now. The lowest salary was 1.10 LPA, and the highest salary was 3.25 LPA. 5-10% students got an internship. 2-4 thousand per month was the stipend offered. Very few MNCs have visited till now as there is no proper environment to take an online test.

Average college. Can be better.

Placements: The placement in this college depends on how good you are. If you have good academics and knowledge then you have a chance of getting placed in 4 or 5 big MNCs else many startups will give you a chance of being their part. The big MNCs include TCS, ITC, Zycus, Tech Mahindra, Indian Navy etc.

Well satisfied with the facilities of the college and faculty of the department.

Placements: The students are well placed in various MNCs like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, Amazon etc. Almost 80% of the students are placed every year with fair salary structures in various IT as well as in core companies like Johnson Control, Asahi Glass etc. They get proper accommodations and training facilities after the placements.

Our college is good in terms of infrastructure and faculty members but lacks in placements.

Placements: Placements are not good here. I am in electrical engineering and in this college, almost 30% students got internships from the college and the average salary offered is almost rupees 10 to 15 thousand. In other fields like mechanical engineering and chemical engineering, placements are very bad as compared to electrical engineering. Only 5 to 10 students got internships from the college. Some companies visited to our college like Tata Power and HCL.
