Our college is good, but it could be excellent if it manage properly.
Placements: Our college provides approximately 60% of placements in different companies. The highest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA in our course, students come to know about different types of skills such as entrepreneurship, data management, software building, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent because of its green environment and mountains side location. The hostel is good to live in, but the mess should need to improve a lot. Wi-Fi facility is not available in our college, but every sim network is good in and around our campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, but the course curriculum needs to improve. Semester exams are managed by Visvesvaraya technological University so it is a very good experience to appear in the VTU examination. The syllabus is get updated every 4 years and it enhances its study yearly.

Placements are not good. You can join only for a degree and get skilled from external sources.
Placements: I am a student of HMS in the 3rd year. Very few students got placed. They displayed as many companies visit here, but none of the companies visits. Roles offered are also not that good. The minimum salary package offered is 1.8 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, as said by teachers. None of the students from 3rd year is doing internships. Later in the 6th semester, our college itself sends students for internships by collecting money from students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available, and there are very poor labs with old computers. The library contains all outdated versions of books, and only 3 books are provided for each student. There is no internet facility in the library too. The CCTV camera doesn't work. We have to take care of our holdings carefully as there is no functioning camera.
Faculty: Teachers from computer science are helpful, cooperative and knowledgeable too. Teaching quality is good, but it is not up to the mark. They teach students only to clear the exams, and they don't make students industry-ready. Initially, there were many good teachers, but due to salary issues, many teachers left their job.
Other: The main reason people join this college is its affordable college fee. They could have started doing workshops and separate coding classes to make students job-ready. The yearly fest known as Beano happens every year. Our college campus is fully surrounded by nature and mountains, which provides a very eco-friendly environment. Scholarships are available here, and loans are also available here, like KMDC. Finance is also available at 0 EMI. Extra activities done here are not that good.

Dissatisfied with the faculty and infrastructure. In 2016, the placements were bad.
Placements: None of the students got placed in good or small companies. I'm feeling very sad to share with our study and after completion of our study in HMSIT. After studying in HMSIT, the scope of getting placements is very low as there are no placements in this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of HMSIT is good. The equipment in the labs is sufficient to learn, but the equipment in all the labs is not the latest. The library in the college have no new edition books. There are no sports and games in the college. There are no medical facilities.
Faculty: Some teachers in the college are good, well-qualified, and knowledgeable enough to teach us. The college doesn't hire good teachers. College management only hires the teachers who take less salary so that the students not able to go further activities like industry exposure.
Other: Every year, the fest is held in the college. Only some extracurricular activities are organised in the college.

College is good you can join.
Placements: Hmmm companies are coming, good college you can prefer this college too, teaching is good. More than 50% is placed. Good roles are offered for the students. Internship is starting from this year. Hmm yes their is a placement cell. Hmm yes it is useful.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good. Their are separate building for different departments like computer Science, electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil. Their is a Diploma, MBA, departments also. Their is a separate play ground for sports. Labs are also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They coordinate with us nicely. Their teaching quality is superb. They are using ppts for teaching. Hmm yes this course is useful. All faculty members are helpful and knowledgeable. They interact nicely with the students. They are decipliened.

Think before you select HMSIT for engineering courses.
Placements: Placement is not good. We can say nil. If at all any company comes, it will be text support or voice support. N most of the company asks for bond or initial deposit or both. The number of students who gets selected is limited, and whoever selected also, hardly joins those companies, just because of type of company. Core companies never come.
Infrastructure: College has a good infrastructure. Good labs and good building. Labs will have good lab assistants. College hasv separate buildings for each branch. Lab equipments are well maintained. Lab manuals and records are too costly to buy. Lab assistants are more informative than lecturers.
Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified but teaching quality is not that good. You have to always take final year project from the consultantancy suggested by your guide. Otherwise your marks will be affected. Library has limited number of books, only few will get the books, and others won't. That too not all books will be provided. Only three books per candidate.
Other: College fest will not be done. Separate fest will be conducted for each branch, if at all done. Campus is calm and good. It's beside highway and greenary around. Bus connectivity is good with several buses. College will also provide bus facility, of course it's costly.

It is a good college but some issues are to be improved upon.
Placements: 40% of the students were placed in my course. The highest package offered is Rs.45000 per month. The package depends on the percentage of the students as well as the companies. 50% of the students have got internships.
Infrastructure: Sports facilities are available but are not good enough and gym is not available. The mess and the food available in it is good. The facilities in this college are more good for locals than the hostelers.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and help the students to achieve their goals. They do not encourage extra-curricular activities and that's the main problem in our college, no farewells and no fests are conducted in this college because teachers do not support them. 3.60% of the students will pass and most of them get detained.
