Big campus, just good placements and the faculty members are not very good.

Placements: The placements here are not that good, it is just fine. It doesn't depend too much on the placements. Infosys and Tech Mahindra are the main companies which come to the college. I mean you all should have alternatives. Try for the GATE and other platforms. You have to learn new things by your own methods and with the help of your friends and colleagues and even by using YouTube or other means suitable to you.

Good architecture, placements of 2017 were a bit unsatisfactory but overall it is good.

Placements: The placement mainly consists of mass recruiting companies like Wipro, Infosys, etc. And there are few very good companies in the pool campusing. The placement of ECE students is almost as good as the CSE guys. This year the placements were a little disappointing on campus. But there was quite a few very good placement offered on campus.

I am not satisfied with the placements in the college as they are bad.

Placements: Only the software companies visit the college. A few core companies visit and pay Rs. 6,000 per month, and how it is possible to survive with that pay. In my batch, two students got placed in Infosys, and two students got placed in the core company that is on the testing. Approximately, 30 students out of 150 of my seniors got placed. The highest package of my seniors 3.25 LPA by the marketing company and the lowest Rs. 50,000 per annum. A few core companies visit the college of Simplex construc...

Satisfied with faculty and the placement was good in past years

Placements: Mostly software companies came here compared to core companies. Whatever the company is, most of the seniors got placed. The highest salary is 6 lacs, the lowest salary is 1.5 lacs and the average salary is 3 lacs. Companies which visited are Hero Bicycles, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Mostly all students got the internship from the college.

Dissatisfied with education quality but you can get a degree here at a low price.

Placements: 70% of placement goes to the CSE department. Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra (on-campus) and TCS, IBM, Juspay (off-campus) offered placements to the students. The avg. package was Rs. 3.25 LPA. On-campus companies provide less package. The college doesn't have a very good respect in terms of campus. The companies change each year. The college does not have a very good contact with the companies, so it only calls traditional service-oriented companies.

A view of HIT, Haldia for our future support. It may help you a lot.

Placements: The placements of 2015 batch were quite good. About 50% students were placed. In 2016, 33 students were placed out of 65. In 2017 batch, only 23 students have been placed out of 70. As the college is going ahead, the placement rate is decreasing. In my opinion, the management is responsible for this bad placement drive.

Good infrastructure but poor placements.

Placements: The placement is below average. Only TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local companies came. They mostly offer software or BPO jobs. Around 30% of the students got placed overall. The highest salary package offered was 3.4 lakhs and the lowest was 1,20,000.

Faculty members and facilities are not up to the mark.

Placements: Placements are just average. Till the time, not even 30 percent students were placed in my department and there is a very less chance of more companies to visit. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, etc. have visited for campus placements. Talking about core companies, the condition is even worse as not a single company has visited the college.

It is the best self-financed college in West Bengal as well as India. But now the scene has changed. Academic restrictions are high. You have to do classes. Attendance restrictions are there. Hostel facilitation is there and separate ladies hostel are there. Overall facility is good. Cafeteria, bookstore, post office and bank everything is here. For amusements, there is a City Centre in Haldia which is 1KM away from College.

It has all required resource, but it lack the quality and interest of teachers to teach students. If you want to join this college come here with a set mentality that you have to fight your own battle. You have to take responsibility of everything happening with you. One more thing I would like to add is that a person with a good career graph here is more respected than a top ranker.

Before my admission it was a good college, but now it is not. Authorities are trying hard, but I don't think they will be able to re-establish its reputation. The infrastructure of the college is quite astonishing. Hostels are also quite good, but not properly maintained. Lack of maintenance just pulled this college to its worst. The best part is that, here you will get ample of options for choosing your steam. Out of 14 departments you can choose, but the same thing, teaching faculty is bad. Bu...

The infrastructure is good. There are 2 libraries with no dearth of books. It is a peaceful place for peaceful people. The teachers are helpful. The playgrounds are good. Labs are updated. The seniors may not be that helpful when it comes to studies but they will try to arrange for the books if asked. It has an environment where you can be yourself. A variety of people are here.

When you enter this college you'll be surely amazed with its infrastructure initially. But as the time will pass you will get to know it better. You can't expect much from the administration of the college. I would suggest if you want to join this college so badly, opt for some other branch. The campus life is pretty cool, the hangouts, movies, fun, drama, etc. you'll get everything here. Away from city's posh life, you can save your money here. I would suggest this college if you just want to g...

College administration has nothing to do with welfare of students in respect of quality and improvements which are the most basic requirements. Only few branches have good faculty. College life and campus is very good, actually in this matter it is the best in West Bengal. Faculty members are really terrific.

Infrastructure was good. Fests were big. Teachers were unusually aggressive. Student encouragement was rarely seen. Total lack of innovation and proactive thinking. Canteen food was terrible and horrible. Rules and rules and rules, wonder how many were meant for student betterment and how many were for student enslavement.

Haldia institute of technology is one of the good college of west Bengal among the private colleges. The campus life is full of fun. The ragging here is almost negligible here. Your 4 years will pass with fun. The quality of the education is good here. So if you want to learn something then you can come here. But the faculty members of the core groups are not too good to clear your all the confusions. The rate of campus placement is average here. But for core groups you don't expect any jobs in ...

It's a beautiful college with nice faculties. They taught every students to become a software engineer or food tech engineer. Or else there is no job in the market no matter what your trade of graduation is... Apart from that it's a nice and beautiful campus. But it has got the ragging problem. If you are a junior and try to make eye contact with a senior the very next moment you are a dead man. And the police of local police station is not having a good view about the students of this college.

Brutally Honest Review!

Placements: In my course, approximately 55% of students were placed in MNCs, and the total placement was 70 to 80%. Be assured to have 60% or above in 10 and 12 along with a maximum 2-year education gap. The highest 45 LPA off-campus Amazon only for girls. Next 15 LPA off-campus. On-campus maximum 9 Wiley Edge. The average is 3.5 LPA. The lowest 2.4 to 0. No core company for ECE. Even if a core company, most are local companies offering below-average packages. Mostly IT service-based MNCs recruit. I am satisfied with the college and the place, which I think would be good.

Placements: An average percentage of students are placed in different industries. The required top recruiting companies are Infosys, Flipkart, Amazon, etc. The average package is Rs. 213,000. Colleges also offer internships, which is good. I like the college. It is nice and good and nice and good and nice.
