Absolutely satisfied because of the good placement in 2024 during the recession period.
Placements: The highest package is 33 LPA in 2024. Top recruiting companies are PWC, Cognizant, and GEOG. The placement percentage in my school is above 80%. More than 91% of students got internships in big companies like Flipkart. The lowest package that the company offers is 3.8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the lab, classroom, and library is very good. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned. Wi-Fi is available in the library, through which you can study in the library by taking a book or doing coding on your laptop. The facility is also good, including the mess.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified. The course curriculum is very similar to the other colleges. The faculty is very helpful whenever you are facing any type of difficulties. You are free to talk with them. There are three types of examinations in our college: the first is the CT exam, the second is the practical exam, and the third is the semester exam. The CT exam is of 15 marks, and the practical and semester exams are of 100 marks.
Other: In the Computer Science Engineering department, there are three batches, each batch having equal strength of 60 students. There are so many events, one like Prayukti River.

I rated it 8/10. You will really enjoy the college and have the opportunity to get a good placement.
Placements: Placement has been really good. I am currently in my 4th year, and placements have just started. Almost 8 to 9 companies have completed their recruitments, and 122 to 130 students have been placed. Many more companies are still left to come for the recruitment, with big names like Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, IBM, etc. participating.
Infrastructure: I am talking about the infrastructure the college area is 27 acres, which they have a Gym, cafeterias playgrounds 8 to 9 hostels. Now I am talking about the course it is similar to the other Institute but overall the labs under courses are really good the lab has new machines and 3D printers.
Faculty: Faculty members are really good, and they have a lot of knowledge in their respective fields. However, when talking about the curriculum and courses, I don't think they are fully relevant to the industry. Industries are working with the latest technologies, and we don't have much exposure to those technologies. Compared to other institutes, the curriculum is almost the same. Exam pattern includes two exams a year, and separate classrooms are allotted for Assamese language exams.
Other: College is very good, as I mentioned regarding placements in the first picture. Overall, the campus, faculty, fests, cultural and technical events, and clubs are all excellent.

Haldia institute of good extra curriculum activities. You will enjoy in this college.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in the Computer Science & Engineering course. The highest package is 23 LPA, the lowest package was 1.5 LPA, and the average package is 4-5 LPA. Wipro, TCS, and Accenture are the top companies for my course. Almost 90% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Haldia Institute of Technology has old classrooms. Classrooms do not look good. Labs are good though. This college has good labs, and every machine and instrument are available. The hostel of this college is really bad. Every room is filled with 3-4 students. There is no closet in the rooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are not up to the mark. They are average teachers and have average knowledge about the course. Some faculty members are good; they help in the study of students. The course curriculum is relevant. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. 70-80% of students pass the semester.
Other: Haldia Institute of Technology organizes fests, sports, and many activities. This is famous for its fest.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) - Batch of 2028

In my opinion, my college is better for me.
Placements: My branch is computer science and engineering with a specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. AI systems learn and improve by analyzing large amounts of data. This 3-year undergraduate programme at Sharda University provides a foundation in computer Science and specialized training in AI and ML. Students learn how to develop AI and ML applications and algorithms and how to analyze data using statistical and machine learning techniques.
Infrastructure: This college has a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus, a resource center for visually challenged students, and a resource center in the library. One reviewer says the infrastructure is awesome, but the Wi-Fi network are not available. Another reviewer says the infrastructure is very good, but the education is not proper .
Faculty: Yes, our teachers are qualified; some are IITians and NITians. Yes, our course is better than others. Exams are mostly moderate; if you have studied, you can score better. Professors are responsible for creating their own curriculum, assignments, and exams. They also select textbooks, lecture on topics, and grade assignments.
Other: A student says that the college has a disciplined environment, high educational standards, and a good infrastructure. They also say that the college encourages students to participate in various activities and workshops.

Affordable college and good infrastructure.
Placements: 85% of students were placed. Companies such as TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, and HCL participated in the hiring process. The highest package offered was 15 LPA, while the average package was 4 LPA. Notably, a significant percentage of students secured internships, and roles were offered in both IT companies and core companies like IOCL and HPL.
Infrastructure: The campus is really nice and spacious, with three girls. Four boys hostels are there. The food in the mess is not great, but the library in HIT is central and the medical facilities are excellent since the college has a medical college. Overall, it's a good place to study.
Faculty: Teachers are beneficial and provide guidance, assisting students in concentration on industry-relevant knowledge. They possess extensive experience and are predominantly scientists. The curriculum emphasizes industry-centric knowledge, which is crucial for core and IT industries. The semester exam is generally manageable.

Brutally Honest Review!
Placements: In my course, approximately 55% of students were placed in MNCs, and the total placement was 70 to 80%. Be assured to have 60% or above in 10 and 12 along with a maximum 2-year education gap. The highest 45 LPA off-campus Amazon only for girls. Next 15 LPA off-campus. On-campus maximum 9 Wiley Edge. The average is 3.5 LPA. The lowest 2.4 to 0. No core company for ECE. Even if a core company, most are local companies offering below-average packages. Mostly IT service-based MNCs recruit. Students have to arrange their internships if they can off-campus. Roles offered are fresher roles in IT service companies. 2023 was the last year when market conditions were good. 2024 saw a massive dip in placement, maybe 20% of the total batch, and with changing market dynamics, things can get worse for most engineering colleges. Core branches states are lower than my branch.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels free of cost. Classrooms are below average. Hostel rooms are below average. The library is good. 4 people stay in 1 room, very congested. The mess food is average, medical facilities are good, sports and game opportunities are there, a restaurant is there, and a gym is there. Seniors will rag juniors and damage junior's hostels and rooms. Damaged toilets take 1 week to repair. Common washrooms are there in most hostels.
Faculty: The curriculum is not up to the mark. Practical knowledge is below average. Some teachers were very helpful. Few are knowledgeable. Teachers have Ph.D. and Masters. The curriculum does not make students industry-ready, you have to work yourself. Semester exams are moderate, most students hate, and almost everyone passes. But most private engineering colleges have the same curriculum so can't help but criticize much.
Other: The college can focus on admitting quality students instead of direct admissions. The crowd is not that good from a career point of view. Students are unruly, ragging is still very much there. Physical and verbal ragging, especially for boys. Discipline should need to be improved. Good fests happen throughout the year, from a fun point of view, the crowd is good. Haldia is a remote location, 5 hrs journey to Kolkata. The campus is beautiful. Extracurricular activities are good. Haldia is peaceful. Good students will shine anywhere, the condition is, have good company and assess the people you'll spend your 4 years. A good college if you only need a degree and not much academic hassle. Good if you are preparing for competitive exams as you will get ample time.
