Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2024

I am totally satisfied with this college because of its good faculty members and placements.
Placements: I am from the bachelor of architecture course. Almost 90% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered could be up to Rs. 1 lac per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month, and the average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Almost 90% of the students got internships from our college. Roles offered in our course are an architect and interior designer.
Infrastructure: Our college is under renovation, but the infrastructure is good. We have Wi-Fi, computer labs, good classrooms and a library. We have a canteen and a gymkhana in our college, but our college doesn't have any hostel. We have many sports activities in our college like cricket and football, and we have teams for it. Food in our canteen is best with special Chinese and south Indian food.
Faculty: Teachers are the best, very helpful and experienced. The teaching quality is excellent. The course is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready because we have internships for almost two years. In the 4th and 5th year, we have to do our internship to start on our own being an architect.
Other: I am from the 2020-2021 batch of the B.Arch course. I have chosen this course because my family background is in construction work, and it is the best for me. I wish our college only to reduce the assignments.

It is the best college with affordable fees for architecture students.
Placements: Generally, there are no placements in our field, but we get a chance to do an internship in our 4th year. In internships, students can create a good impact on their profiles in front of the architect under whom they are doing internships. Students can also search for jobs in the government field once they complete their graduation.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are good. The library is open from 9 am to 5 pm. Studios in our college are very well designed and maintained. The food served in the canteen is fine, and the hostel facilities are satisfactory. Sports are organised during the fest in January.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are the best with their qualifications. Most of them have a degree of master's in the field of architecture. Their quality of teaching is also very good, and the lessons are easily understood by the students. The course curriculum does not change students much, and it is relevant.
Other: I have chosen architecture because I was interested in the design field for a very long period. Fests are organised in the month of January. Our college is located in Bandra and has the best connectivity to travel and has other things.

It is a decent college with a strong faculty members.
Placements: Generally, there are no placements in the B.Arch course. We have to do an internship in the 4th year, which is part of our course, but quite a few students end up to do a job in the same firm. All roles are offered from planning to presentations. The average salary offered is about Rs.15,000 to 17,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The intake in our college is more than 160 students, which is high compared to any other college in the architecture in Mumbai. There are enough classrooms for such a large intake. There is a computer lab, library, a combination of auditorium and classroom, etc. The food served in the canteen is decent.
Faculty: The in-house staff members are helpful, but the range of external faculty is really good. For studio lectures, there is one professor for about 7-10 students. So one can always get personal help from your guide or other guides. The course curriculum is good enough, but as compared to other fields, the only way to get industry ready is that we have to work in that industry.

It's a good college in terms of curriculum and academics.
Placements: The college does not provide us internships. It is up to the students to decide and search for a suitable job. They do not provide us with placements after completion of the degree. You have to choose wisely.
Infrastructure: Dr. Baliram Hiray College of architecture has a basic infrastructure. There is Wi-Fi and CC cameras are present in each classroom. It has old furniture and the canteen is not up to the mark. The toilets are clean and hygienic, but the campus lacks area for outdoor activities and there is no parking facility available. There is a stationary in the campus shop.
Faculty: The course is good and some faculty members are experienced with the right information regarding the current market trends. The staff is good and co-operative and the overall academics is well-planned and the curriculum is great. It makes one confident about himself, develops one's design sense, increases creativity and teaches how to present himself.

Absolutely satisfied. Keeping in mind about the teaching and extra curricular activities of the colg
Placements: Placements are on basis of marks and design folios. Usual placements are in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune. Packages are around 10-12k for internships and after degree it is around 25k for junior architect at any firm. Out of a batch of 180, around 100-120 were placed.
Infrastructure: There are 20 hostel rooms in college only for male and the fees is rs.1500/- per month. There are no rooms for girls in hostel. There are three PG's in the proximity of college and they are quite good to stay and the cost is around rs.2000/- to rs.2500/-. Food is quite good in college and the cost of per meal is approximately. Rs.45/-. Quality of classrooms, labs, library is good. Wi-Fi is pathetic and infrastructure needs a lot of upgradation.
Faculty: Faculty - The faculty ranges from young architects to older experienced architects who have a tremendous knowledge base. It is divided into two parts, in-house and external faculty. External faculty is only available for main subjects and they have their own firm Outside. Teachers also help off the teaching hours. Course curriculum- It is a Five year course which is divided into Semesters. Semester 1-6 is college affiliation and from Semester 6, Mumbai University starts. First Half of 4th Semester is Internship which is 6 months. 5th year is Thesis which is followed by a 6 Month wait for License.
Other: The annual college fest is named TARASH. It has a different and attractive theme every year. The fest lasts for one month including sports, cultural and other events.

The college is not bad, if it improves, then it will be one of the best colleges.
Placements: As far as I've got to know about the placements from our college, the placement rate through the college is very low. Most of the students have to go and find a job by themselves. Only 4-5 students from the last year batch were placed through college, and they were the toppers. When we talked to our seniors about all this, we got to know that it's a big struggle to find a job. The college doesn't help in placements. Only toppers get jobs. All others have to go and personally find a job by themselves. We have an internship in the 4th year. That also everyone has to find on their own, but there's one architect in the college who has his own firm. So, the students who don't get to do the internship anywhere, they have to work under that faculty. The college has no placement cell.
Infrastructure: Faculty members, both core and visiting are good. Labs, classrooms, library and everything is there, but I think it's there for the namesake. The library has sufficient books, but entire college's infrastructure is very bad. It's a very old building which needs repairing. There is no classroom with AC. Fans are not sufficient to cool the classrooms in summers. We keep sweating during the lectures from April to September. There is no space for games and sports, but when it's needed, college gives ground at some other place to hold the events. Quality of food in the canteen is okay, but variety is very low. Non-veg and veg are cooked in same vessels, that's why many people don't eat there. There are no hostel rooms for girls. Only 5% of the boys from each year get rooms in the hostel, and that 5 % is decided by the scores on the entrance exam.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They don't connect with the students properly. They are not that friendly. Many students face problems to contact them if they need any help. Teachers take us for site visits. The course curriculum is also useful. The teachers show us presentations, send us notes through the mail and share notes.
Other: The college event Tarash is held in January, and it is very nice. Students enjoy that time a lot. About 50% of the people are day scholars, and others are from outskirts of Maharashtra or even other states. Our college is beside IES School, which is very famous. Extracurricular activities like lectures, debates keep happening in the college every month. Scholarships are also given to toppers and caste students.
