I K Gujral Punjab Technical University, Hoshiarpur Scholarships and Funding
On completion of admission process, based on qualifying examination (10+2 for UG and UG for
PG programmes), the following is applicable:
i) Top 10%students admitted under same batch for all disciplines/streams will be offered
scholarship of 50% of Tuition Fee and
ii) Next 10o/o students admitted under same batch for all disciplines/streams will be offered
scholarship of 25% of Tuition Fee.

Placements: Almost 55-70 students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 4.80 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 2.4 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3.36 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are Infosys, Wipro and Google. Almost 50% of the students got an internship in Wipro, HCL, Dell and HP. Students also need to focus, so the college can also help them in their careers.
Placements: Only 1 percent of students placed overall in 2023. The highest package is 4 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. The top recruiting company is Zscaler, Hoping Minds, Red Brick, and Zaro Education. No one gets an internship on my campus. Only BDA-based roles come to our college for placement.
Placements: The total number of students in my course was 380, or approximately 70 students per section. The highest package they offered was 19 lacs, and the average package offered was 6 lacs. Many companies come to recruit students. Above 80 percent of students got placed.

No. Admission to the BTech courses in I K Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) is based on class 12 marks of the candidates. JEE Main scores are not considered for PTU BTech admission.

| B.E. / B.Tech | Those candidates who have passed minimum 3 years Diploma examination from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. (The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to prepare Level playing field and desired learning outcomes of the programme) OR The candidates who have passed two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible. |
