Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa, New Delhi: A pioneer in hospitality, ranked among the best colleges and which have given the best professionals like Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Gill of ITC. The best faculty and the exposure given are also large. Only disappointment of this college is, very small but its adjacent to lush green farms of Pusa.

IHM Pusa is a small campus located just beside IARI campus in Delhi, which is beautiful and serene, so be ready for winters a couple of degrees colder than the rest of the city and summers you really can't help but bear it. The hostel is situated within the campus, but 1st years get it only on merit.

The first thing one notice when he/she enters the college is that it's pretty small. It has two academic-cum administrative blocks. The boy's and the girl's hostel can accommodate around 140 student depending upon the JEE rank and upon the Warden's consent when in the midst of the session. But believe you me, don’t go for the size. The quality is what matters. The institute is known all over the hotel industry for producing the best of the candidates. Many top General Managers and hoteliers are ...

Disastrous college and management.

Placements: A lot of companies came this year: hotels, QSRs, retail, and even consulting ones. If you want a job under INR 6-7 LPA, Pusa is your way to go because all the companies offer INR 4-5 LPA only. The highest package for a 23' batch is around INR 7.5 LPA, which is okay for a fresher.

My college experience was a mixed bag.

Placements: I don't know about the exact percentage, but the placements were good. The highest package was INR 65,000 per month, and the lowest was INR 15,000. There are too many companies to remember, but the list includes all of the major hotel chains: The Oberoi, ITC, Taj, Marriott, etc. 100% of our students got internships. The top role offered is that of manager trainee.

I would like to recommend it to every student who is interested in the hospitality industry.

Placements: Placements were low because of the pandemic. Taj, Hyatt, Obeoris, and Leela groups came to campus to hire their future chefs and managers. Almost 100% of students got placements from the college because of the number of hotels in aerocity. After completing this course, we will be able to work as executive chefs and general managers in five-star hotels, as well as launch our own restaurant chain and hotel.
