Placements: Fairly speaking, the placements at UG level are pretty good, but when it comes to Masters, then it is below average. Academic wise, the college is very good and has a very good alumni base, since got centralised just past 3 years, so sooner, the placements will get better, we can hope.
Placements: The placements are average. The placements for Information technology and computer science are average with 6 LPA, and it is good for mechanical too. We had more than 50 companies visiting this year. The highest package was 29 LPA and lot of my juniors got the internship from IIT and companies which visited the college were Microsoft, Samsung, PWC, Veritas, CGI, CTS, IBM, Zycus, Polaris, Tata steel, abode, mu sigma, Aakash, revel system, Decor, Vikram solar, Maruti, ...
Placements: Placement season is still going on. Around 70% of the students are placed. The highest placement is bagged by a CST student directly for around 29 LPA (India), and also another CST student in Bloomberg (USA). The lowest package offered by the mass recruiting companies was 3.5 LPA. Regarding internship, almost 80% students do some project/internship in the summer vacation.
Placements: Placements are of utmost importance when it comes to our college, and without any doubt, I can say that hundred percent placements take place each year in every branch or department in our college. The average salary to mining engineering students is 9-10 LPA. LandT, Vedanta, Coal India, PWC, Joy Mining and many other famous companies come to recruit.
Placements: This year (2017-2018), the placements have been good with the companies like Microsoft, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, TATA STEEL, Samsung R&D, Mu Sigma and much more companies giving the jobs. The new training and placement cell is formed this year through which the placements will increase on the campus.
Placements: The placements were good in our institution. 90% of the students got placed in our batch. The highest salary offered was 10 LPA, and the lowest was 3.2 LPA. The companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, Google, IBM, Excel, Accenture, Lister Technology, Mu Sigma, L&T, and much more visit the campus to hire the students.
Placements: The placements were decent but not good. The highest package received was 11LPA. However, the average package was quite low at 3.5LPA. The seniors did slightly better as PSUs came recruiting as well, but PSUs tend to have quotas for reserves categories and general category students face a disadvantage there. The internship programme is not very well developed and mostly non-paid.
Placements: The placements provided are very good. There is a dedicated placement cell for the same. All the students got placed in our batch and our senior batch as well. In our batch, the highest salary offered was Rs. 10.5 LPA and the lowest offer was Rs. 3.25 LPA. For our senior batch, the highest salary offered was Rs. 16 LPA and the lowest offer was Rs. 3.25 LPA. The companies like Microsoft, Cadence, Deloitte, PWC and Google have visited the campus.
Placements: Placement scenario decent in IIST Shibpur. Lots of software companies visit the campus. A placement committee should be present in camous for better placement scenario. The number of companies visiting campus can be increased to a great extent with proper planning and execution.
Placements: The placements were average. 90% of the students were placed. The software engineer, consultant-type roles were offered. In general, very few students got the internship from college. The stipend was 10k around. Many companies like Deloitte, PWC, Ericsson, Amazon, Mu Sigma, and Polaris networks come to the campus.
Placements: The placements were decent for mechanical engineering. Around 90% of the batch was placed. The average package was around 5 LPA with the highest being around 11 LPA, and the lowest around 2.5 LPA. The roles were mostly engineering for various sectors like steel, EPC, automobile etc. Some roles of IT and BFSI were also offered. Around 20% students got paid internships. This data is regarding the placements of 2013.
Placements: The placement scenario of our college was not that good at our time. One of the main reasons was the recession, and that affected a lot of our time. Though at the end of the placement season, almost all the students had at least one job in their hands. The professors, who were the placement in-charge, was a bit reluctant about his job. His lack of enthusiasm might be a reason behind our poor placement. Only a few good companies came to the college.
Placements: Placement was average. Almost 90% students were placed but the range of salary was average. Many IT companies came and mostly software engineer role was offered. Students did an internship but those were not paid. Companies like CTS, Infosys, Accenture, PWC, Deloitte, Acclaris, SPCL, Lexmark came.
Placements: The college is very advanced when compared to other state universities. Now, as it became a national institute, the expectation is higher than before. Many reputed companies come for the placements and also do the mass recruitment. Many students also opt for the higher studies.
Placements: The IT service companies offered an average salary of around Rs. 3.5 lakhs and the students were mostly appointed in the roles like the software engineer, solution integrator, data analyst etc. A very small percentage was offered for the internship and stipend offered was about Rs. 18,000.
Placements: Well, the department of architecture does not have placement opportunities as such. The students are allowed to sit for the companies (hardly two) which comes mainly for recruiting the civil students and are willing to take architects as hardly 1-2 are recruited. If you are lucky, each year there are 25 architect graduates. Most of the students join the design studios or go for higher studies. As for the package, the industry standards are low, and one can expect Rs. 25,000 per month if he joins...
Placements: The placements were very good for both the batches. Having few PPOs from the companies like Microsoft, Tata Steel, etc. The placements dived the companies like Deloitte, HSBC and EXL to the mass recruiters like CTS and IBM. The salary ranged from Rs. 3 LPA to as high as Rs. 12 LPA. The process was seamless with all the processes coordinating extremely well. The companies visited the campus for hiring both from Kolkata as well as the cross locations.
Placements: Apart from 2-4 students, all were placed, and this has been a trend for some time. The average salary was around 3.5 LPA offered by the IT services companies. The students were mostly offered the roles of software engineers, solution integrators, data analysts, etc. A small percentage, only 5-6 students, were offered the internships. The stipend was about 18-20K per month.
Placements: In my year, the placements were good. Around, 80% of the students were placed. The companies visiting were better compared to the previous years. The average salary offered was around 5 lacs per annum, and the highest was around 10 lacs per annum. The internships offered were not too many. The big firms like Microsoft or Google hardly pay a visit to the university, probably because of its location, which is not much central.
Placements: The first batch of IIESTS will pass out in 2018 ( till now the pass-out batches were of BESU ). But ever since the college turned from BESU to IIESTS, the placements are better at a rocking rate. For example, the highest package jumped up to Rs. 46 LPA in 2016 from Rs. 26 LPA in 2015. Similarly, the average package increased to Rs. 6.31 LPA in 2016 from Rs. 4.5 LPA in 2015. Moreover, the number of recruiters visiting the campus is increasing ever since 2014. Many reputed recruiters like Google, ...
