Admission to the MBA course is on the basis of CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT, followed by a personal interview (PI) round. The selection procedure is completed and carried out as per the IIIT Allahabad criteria. The institute has not released the official cutoff for the MBA course. Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme should qualify for the basic eligibility criteria, which is a bachelor's degree of a minimum 3-year duration with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST category students).

The institute offers a two-year MBA course in a full-time mode. Candidates with a valid bachelor’s degree are eligible for the course. These students can fill out the IIITA application form online (iiita.ac.in). Admission to the course is entrance-based. The institute selects students based on scores secured in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ GMAT, followed by an interview round.

It is crucial that all aspirants meet the eligibility requirements to seek admission. To apply to the MBA programme at IIIT Allahabad, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university/ institute with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories) or equivalent. Additionally, the candidate must also have a valid score of CAT.

The total tuition fee for the MBA course is INR 3.50 lakh. Admission to the course is on the basis of the CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT exam, followed by a personal interview (PI) round. Candidates aspiring for admission to BTech course at IIIT Allahabad must qualify for JEE Main entrance exam with a valid score. There is no other way to get admission to this course. Based on a valid JEE Main rank, candidates are allotted seats through JoSAA Counselling process. Further, vacant seats are filled with CSAB counselling process.

Students can apply for the Merit Cum Means scholarship at IIIT Allahabad through the official website. To be eligible for the scholarships, candidates must have a cumulative average of SGPI for two semesters only per year, which should be equal to or above 8.50. Also, the annual income of the candidate should be less than INR 5.00 LPA. Up to 3% of the total students enrolled in the programme will receive this scholarship. Students will receive INR 36,000 per year through this scholarship.

Candidates with at least 90 percentile have a great chance. It is a great percentile to get into the IIIT Allahabad BTech course. Additionally, the candidate must also be amongst the top 11,553 ranks. Furthermore, the final selection shall depend upon the cutoff of the respective academic year, category, and seat intake.

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
