Integrated Programme in Management (IPM)

For admission to this institute for IPM, a candidate must have scored at least 60% aggregate in Class 12 and Bachelor's degree. The duration of the programme is for five years. The selection process includes IPM Aptitude Test and an online personal interview. IIM Rohtak offers a course of BBA+MBA, which is named as Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). This is a combined degree of UG & PG courses in the stream of Management. Candidates can enroll for this course after completing Class 12. 

This dual degree course runs over a period of five years. Every year is divided into three terms, each of approximately 3 months duration. The entire programme is divided into two parts; the first part focuses on the foundation courses, whereas the second part focuses on management. At the end of every year, students get internship opportunities for the practical learning.

IIM has 2 courses to offer after Class 12. A 5 year integrated MBA and five year law programme ( new course). Candidates with required eilligibilty has to appear for IIP aptitude test followed by an interview. Final selection is based on apptiute test, 12th marks, and interview scores. IIM Rohtak has recently introduced a 5 year course on law after Class 12.

IIM admisison to the MBA course is based on a valid CAT score, followed by Written Ability Test (WAT) and Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GD &PI). CAT 2023 cut offs for IIM admission are estimated to be in the range of 95-100 percentile for General candidates. For top IIMs such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta, among others, the minimum CAT cut off is 90 percentile and the maximum can go upto 100. IIM Rohtak estimated CAT cutoff 2023 (percentile) will range between 92 and 94 for the General category students.  

So, considering the previous year trends and estimated CAT percentile for IIM Rohtak, students with 70 percentile cutoff will not be able to get into IIM Rohtak. Candidates can get admission to other B-Schools like XIME, Bangalore and LIBA, Chennai with 70 percentile CAT cutoff. 

RAT is an objective-type exam. The questions asked in the entrance test are around the topics such as reading comprehension, quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation, and logical reasoning. 

IIM Rohtak accepts CAT scores for admission to the MBA/ PGDM courses. IIMs, however, do not release CAT cutoffs in the public domain and are exclusively accessible only via account login to candidates who have appeared for the exam. IIM Rohtak has released the aggregate percentile scores in the CAT 2023 for admission. The answer to this question of whether an average student can get into IIM can be both yes and no depending on the definition of an average student.

• Based on Academics (Class 10/ Class 12/ Graduation): While a student with average scores in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation with a good CAT score certainly has good chances of getting a call from IIM-A, chances are less for someone with an average CAT score.
• Based on student category (General or Reserved): While it is tough for a General category average student to grab a seat at IIM due to high score requirements, a reserved category student can get admission being at average scores as well.
• Based on past work experience, diversity and other factors: Gender and academic diversity is also a factor on which students are shortlisted at IIM. IIMs judge the past academic category based on the degree obtained by the students before MBA and then a weightage is allotted based on that. For Engineers, the percentage for scoring the highest marks is higher as compared with other streams
• Performance in selection rounds: Once you make it to the final selection rounds, i.e., AWT/PI process, it can be considered a fresh start. At this stage, students can forget their past average-ness but definitely require good grasp over the past subjects as academics-related questions are asked in the interview.

Based on the above factors, it can be considered that while getting into top Management institutes, such as IIM is extremely tough, the past performance, CAT performance, student category and a lot of factors can be the reasons for a student to receive that final call.

IIM Rohtak offers Certificate programmes of short duration ranging from three to five months. These certificate programmes are offered in the streams of Business & Management Studies and IT & Software. Some of the specialisations in which the course is available are HR Analytics, Project Management, Small Business Management, Data Analytics, etc. These coruses are offered in blend of online and campus visits. Further, it's mandatory for candidates to complete minimum of 70% attendance in the entire course duration.
