IIT Kanpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: More than 350 companies, ranging from Google, Microsoft, BCG, McKinsey, ITC to foreign companies like Rubrick, visited our campus last year, out of which around 200 companies were software companies. Around 100 companies were for data science, and the rest were for consultancy and FMCG.

Placements: Around 81% of students are placed in civil engineering. The highest salary package offered is around 45 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 20 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Zomato, American Express, Infosys, etc. Almost 80% of applied students got internships, and the companies were Uber, Tata, and GRM. The project manager is the top role in our course.

Placements: Placement depends on one interest. Students who are doing their M.tech programme seriously and maintain minimum criteria of CGPA they mostly get placement. Depends on one interest they can get placement in core or non core. Overall it is good when looking for placement.

Placements: 80% of students got placed in my department. The rest went for further studies or joined M.Tech in college. The highest package offered was 1.5 Crore per annum, the lowest package was 8 LPA, and the average package was 15 LPA. JLR, Sprinklr, and Uber came here. 80% of students got internships in companies like Uber, HUL, ITC etc. SDE, business analyst, and product manager roles are offered.

Placements: Almost 80-85% of students sitting in placements got placed each year. The highest packages are offered by MNC's for hiring students to work in foreign locations where cost of living is much higher. It is around 1 crores. Top recruiting companies are like google, Microsoft, amazon etc.

Placements: IIT Kanpur is one of the top engineering colleges across India, and it is known for its extremely good placements. In 2020, in spite of the COVID pandemic, the highest domestic salary package offered was more than that of the previous year. The highest international salary package offered is 1.47 crores per annum. Overall, placements in our college are very good.

Placements: The college has a high placement percentage. The highest international package offered is around 1.5 Crores per annum, and the domestic package is around 60 LPA. The average package offered is around 15 LPA. Various domestic and international companies come for placements, which include like Google, Microsoft etc. The students can also apply for internships starting from the first year itself.

Placements: Most of the students who apply for placements get a decent salary package from here. Nearly 85% of the students were placed in 2020 from here. The highest salary package offered was 1.5 crores per annum. Major companies like Google, Godrej Industries, Goldman Sachs, etc., were a few top recruiting companies here.

Placements: Approximately 90% of the students are getting placements in this college. The highest salary package offered was 1 crore per annum in this engineering course, and the lowest salary package offered was 1 lac. Almost all the students got internships from many companies. The electric computer-based role was offered by companies.

Placements: Almost 92% of the students got placed in companies. The highest salary package offered is 65 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 12 LPA. Students require to score 8 CGPA to get an internship. Companies offered jobs to students who are intelligent and also have good skills, and they also check human behaviour.

Placements: About 40% of the students from our course were placed. Remaining students complete their thesis or research later on the same campus. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, which was provided by ICICI Bank. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA, and it was also provided by ICICI. The average salary package offered was 7 LPA for students who attended placements. ICICI Bank, banking or financial field companies are main recruiters for our department. Placements: Placements of our college are the best in the country. The placement statistics are improving every year, and around 85% of the students got placed in on-campus placements in 2019-2020. The highest salary package offered was 1.47 crore per annum in 2020. Placements were offered by companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Samsung, Adobe, etc.

Placements: Earth sciences in IIT Kanpur is relatively the newest branch with only 30 seats. Out of 19 students, only 10 appeared for placements, and the rest went for further studies. 60% of students got placed. Mostly, students got placed in non-core analyst profiles. Only 20% of students got internships in agro-tech startups and software development companies. Top roles offered in core earth sciences are oil-coal field manager, geoscientist and geologist.

Placements: Placements are good as compared to the other IITs except for a few. Internship opportunities are enough for 80-90% of the students during my time in the college. Packages offered are above average for mechanical students. Overall, it will be a good experience for you.
