IIT Kanpur BTech cutoff 2024 was released across multiple specialisations. The institute accepts JEE Advanced entrance exam scores, followed by JoSAA counselling rounds for admission. During the IIT Kanpur Jee Advanced cutoff 2024, the last-round closing ranks varied between 252 and 10498, of which Computer Science and Engineering turned out to be the most in-demand BTech specialisation for the General AI quota students to get into IIT Kanpur. IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2024 For General All India Category 

Computer Science and Engineering was the most sought-after BTech specialisation for the General AI category students, with first and last-round closing ranks of 248 and 252, respectively, for admission in 2024. The second-best option for students who missed out on CSE was Electrical Engineering, with a lenient last-round closing rank of 1290. The first-round cutoff for the same course stood at 1257.

IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2024 For OBC All India Category 

During the IIT Kanpur OBC category cutoff 2024, the JEE Advanced last-round closing ranks ranged between 132 and 4766, with CSE being the most competitive BTech specialisation for admission in 2024. The first and last-round closing ranks for CSE stood at 129 and 132, respectively. Besides CSE, the other options available were BTech in Electrical Engineering and BTech in Mechanical Engineering, with last-round closing ranks of 743 and 1392, respectively, for the OBC category students in the AI quota. For the SC category students, the Jee Advanced last-round closing ranks varied between 96 and 2667 for admission in 2024. Comparing the cutoff range with the above categories, the competition was tough for the students belonging to the SC category in the AI quota. CSE has the lowest last-round cutoff rank of 96, making it the most in-demand course for admission at IIT Kanpur. The first-round closing rank for CSE stood at 89. This indicates that either the seats were filled after round one admission for these courses or the competition for the courses remains the same after each round of admission.
