NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIT Patna ranks #34 under the category 'Engineering'.

The GATE 2025 admit card for admission to the MTech course will be available for download from Jan 7, 2025. Additionally, the GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

A few more updates are given below:

The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam for IIT Patna admission to BE/BTech courses is scheduled to be held between Jan 22 and Jan 29, 2025. For BArch and BPlan courses, the exam is to be conducted on Jan 30, 2025.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam date has been announced for the BTech course. As per the official website, the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted on May 18, 2025. Further, the application form will be released in Apr 2025.
The IIT JAM 2025 online registration process for admission to the MSc course has closed now. The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on Feb 2, 2025.

IIT Patna fee structure for different programmes lies between INR 40,000 and INR 1,000,000. While candidates can pay the fee annually or semester-wise depending on the ask during IIT Patna admissions, there are a few components which are paid only once, namely one-time fee. Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (for UG Students including M.Sc.) : - IIT Patna gives MCM scholarships to meritorious and needy students. An UG student or 2 year M.Sc program student can receive the MCM scholarship.
Rate of Scholarship :
- For Gen & OBC students:- Rs. 1,000/- pm for two semesters (8 semesters in a year) and Free tuition fee.
- For SC & ST students:- Free messing, exemption from hostel room rent, and Pocket allowance of Rs. 250/- pm.

Institute provides various Central Scheme Scholarships -
Top Class Education Scheme for SC students (for UG Students) - funded by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment

Objective: The scheme aims at recognizing and promoting quality education amongst students belonging to SCs, by providing full financial support. The scheme will cover SC students for pursuing studies beyond 12th class.

Eligibility:
-SC students having total annual family income from all sources up to Rs. 6.00 lakh and having secured admission in a full-time course in any of the notified institutions according to the general selection criteria prescribed by the concerned institution, will be eligible for scholarship under the Scheme to the extent of the number of scholarships (slots) allocated to the institution for the course.
-The benefit of the Scheme will not be provided to more than 2 siblings in a family. The student will submit an affidavit in the Institution to certify that he/she is not the third sibling of the family who is availing benefit under the scheme
-The scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to pass the final examination of each year or any terminal examination or semester examination prescribed.

IIT Patna: More than you think.

Placements: The average package for this course has increased to 18 lakhs and will likely increase further. This course was introduced only two years ago, so not much information is available about it.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The labs are well-equipped, and there are departmental libraries for each department. The new central library is under construction and will be opening soon. As a first-year student, I share a room with two roommates. The rooms have three beds, three chairs, three tables, and two LAN ports for each student. There's a large sports complex with a variety of playing fields and facilities, and you can also play various games at the gym. The campus also has a hospital where students can receive free treatment, as medical insurance is included in the tuition fees.

Faculty: The faculty are very well qualified and always willing to help us. They want us to succeed and rarely fail anyone. They teach their classes well, and then the TAs, who are Ph.D. students, conduct tutorial classes. If we attend class regularly, we should be able to do well on the exams, as most of the questions come from the lectures and tutorials.

Reasons to choose IIT BBA over other BBA.

Placements: The college will provide placements as they promised. But the placements won't be like B.Tech programs because our mode of learning is online or distance, and the outcome that employers or the college expect might not be the same.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at this college is good. The hostels have all the essentials, such as Wi-Fi, lifts, water coolers, and study tables. They also have washing machines for students to use. The classrooms are modern and have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and power outlets for laptops. However, the mess food is terrible, and I don't know of any medical services that are available.

Faculty: The teachers are extremely qualified, coming from top institutions like IIM and industry leaders like KPMG and EY. The course curriculum is industry-focused, which makes it relevant. However, the mode of learning is online, which makes it a bit questionable. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage is around 60 to 70%.

In my opinion, everything is almost very good.

Placements: As we already know that this course is newly launched, so I can't predict the placement of students, but yes, I can make sure that students can definitely be placed when they have good skills and knowledge. Google, Amazon, Intel, Oracle, Flipkart, data analytics, and data scientist. I can say that the lowest is 3-4 LPA, the average is 5-6 LPA, and the highest is 9-10 LPA. I cannot predict the percentage now, but yes, they assured us to get 100% placement.

Infrastructure: These things are quite good. The faculty members also provide good interaction with students. The quality of facilities in the hostel is very good according to me. The hostel is clean and fresh. The quality of food is also good. Medical facilities are also available on the campus where we can easily visit. The sports and game area are also very nice where we can play any game and enjoy.

Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are very helpful. They are so good. They teach us online via the Teams app where we can easily interact with our batchmates and teachers. Yes, it is a relevant course. Yes, semester exams are like average for those students who focus on studying. 60% is the passing mark.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested to deal with data, computer science, and I like the technical field a lot. This could be even better if we visit campus quickly all with our batchmates so that we can interact easily with everyone. All the things are great in our college.

The name IIT is self-explanatory.

Placements: Currently, there are no placement records because it's a completely new course launched in 2023, so our 1st batch will pass out in 2026, only after that we can give information about it. Moreover, our college is providing a placement cell and 100% support on placements. Top roles offered in this course are data analysis and software engineer.

Infrastructure: As we are a hybrid mode student we only get a maximum 10 days hostel stay at the end of every semester. However, we are getting complete campus access throughout our course. We are also l allowed to use wonderful new library of IITP. As per our campus immersion program, we got excellent campus exposurer, a great time with friends, and quite good food.

Faculty: Teachers are quite very helpful and they understand students. As they are same teachers who teach in the regular B. Tech program so no doubt about teachers. Talking about exams, if we don't miss any class and understand every topic carefully then we are able to clear the exam easily.

Other: The tag of IIT Patna. They conduct different types of fests and much more.

Amazed by the infrastructure, yet to find out about the internship and placement claims.

Placements: Our college offers up to 100% placement. The highest package is about 80 lakhs; the average package sits around 23–27 lakhs. One example of a top recruiting company for our college would be Infosys. Every student gets at least one scholarship offer from the college.

Infrastructure: The classrooms have amazing technological facilities such as smart boards, projectors, microphones for teachers and a student capacity of 80–145 students per lecture hall. The hostel and food facilities were very satisfactory; hygienic fresh food was being served, as was the cleanliness of the hostel and the rooms.

Faculty: Teachers seemed to have grip over their subjects and the teaching quality is amazing, as the faculty always makes sure the students are comfortable with the concept before moving onto the next one. Exam difficulty depends on how the student prepares for it, as everything on the exam is based on what is being taught in class.

Other: I chose this course because it provides knowledge in a variety of emerging future domains. Even though the exam and study pattern are well planned by the course directors, it might be better if they give more weight to the offline exam. Events are awesome; the campus is built in a massive area and can handle a huge amount of crowds at once.
