NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIT Patna ranks #34 under the category 'Engineering'.

The GATE 2025 exam is ongoing for admission to the ME/MTech/PhD courses. The next exam dates for GATE 2025 are Feb 15 and Feb 16, 2025. Further, the GATE 2025 results are scheduled to be declared on Mar 19, 2025.

A few more updates are given below:

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 registrations are open for IIT Patna admission to BE/BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses. The last date to apply is Feb 25, 2025. The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam is scheduled to be held between Apr 1 and Apr 8, 2025. Further, the session 1 result is to be declared by Feb 12, 2025.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam date has been announced for the BTech course. As per the official website, the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted on May 18, 2025. Further, the application form will be released in Apr 2025.
The IIT JAM 2025 exam is now over for admission to the MSc course. The IIT JAM 2025 results are set to be announced tentatively on Mar 19, 2025.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (for UG Students including M.Sc.) : - IIT Patna gives MCM scholarships to meritorious and needy students. An UG student or 2 year M.Sc program student can receive the MCM scholarship.

Eligibility:
-SC students having total annual family income from all sources up to Rs. 6.00 lakh and having secured admission in a full-time course in any of the notified institutions according to the general selection criteria prescribed by the concerned institution, will be eligible for scholarship under the Scheme to the extent of the number of scholarships (slots) allocated to the institution for the course.

Absolutely not satisfied with the online teaching method.

Placements: Actually, this course is new and online, and we don't know yet how much placement we will get from this college, but they are giving 100% placement support for us whose CGPI is more than 7.5 in all semesters. The first phase attracted participation from a wide range of industries, including technology giants like Google, Nvidia, Samsung, and Cisco; e-commerce and finance leaders such as Flipkart, Zomato, and Mahindra Finance; and engineering and research-driven companies like Maruti Suzuki, NXP, and HPCL.

Infrastructure: This college's infrastructure is huge, and many different faculties are provided by this campus, like sports and cultural activities, a library, a gym, a dancing room, gymnastics, a hostel, a mess, a cafeteria, big grounds, etc. You can also enjoy cultural events, fests, and parties on campus, interact with seniors for better guidance, develop future skills for placement, make new friends, and participate in activities and sports events.

Faculty: Yes, this course gives us better guidance for our skill development and helps us become well-developed in every field of life. This course is online, and the classes are live on Moodle (a website of IIT Patna itself). The semester examination difficulty increases when you are promoted to the next semester.

Other: I chose this course because it is an IIT. All professors are very good at teaching and provide us 100% placement support after completing semester 4, which means in 3 years. There is no such criteria for enrollment; all that is needed is to give an entrance exam. The thing I want to improve is to make this course offline. You can also enjoy cultural events, fests, and parties on campus, interact with seniors for better guidance, develop future skills for placement, make new friends, and participate in activities and sports events.

Reasons to choose IIT BBA over other BBA.

Placements: The college will provide placements as they promised. But the placements won't be like B.Tech programs because our mode of learning is online or distance, and the outcome that employers or the college expect might not be the same.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at this college is good. The hostels have all the essentials, such as Wi-Fi, lifts, water coolers, and study tables. They also have washing machines for students to use. The classrooms are modern and have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and power outlets for laptops. However, the mess food is terrible, and I don't know of any medical services that are available.

Faculty: The teachers are extremely qualified, coming from top institutions like IIM and industry leaders like KPMG and EY. The course curriculum is industry-focused, which makes it relevant. However, the mode of learning is online, which makes it a bit questionable. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage is around 60 to 70%.

IIT Patna: A college of national importance and a lot to explore.

Placements: The course has a dedicated internship and training placement cell and the college offers a 100% placement support to students. There are webinar held regularly to provide students with the industry insight and get knowledge of the field they are going to work for. We have teach and coding clubs to improve students skills. We have seperate classes for personality development and communication skills.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch and well-maintained as per standards. We have a gym khana, sports complex, professor residence, schools, academic blocks, library, and other important infrastructure. There is a fest arena and an open auditorium for practice and events. Our classrooms are fully air-conditioned and digitally equipped.

Faculty: The circuluum is updated and meeting the industry standards. We are taught python. It is the most demanded skill in the market currently as well as a specialized branch. IIT Patna: More than you think.

Placements: The average package for this course has increased to 18 lakhs and will likely increase further. This course was introduced only two years ago, so not much information is available about it.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The labs are well-equipped, and there are departmental libraries for each department. The new central library is under construction and will be opening soon. As a first-year student, I share a room with two roommates. The rooms have three beds, three chairs, three tables, and two LAN ports for each student. There's a large sports complex with a variety of playing fields and facilities, and you can also play various games at the gym. The campus also has a hospital where students can receive free treatment, as medical insurance is included in the tuition fees.

Faculty: The faculty are very well qualified and always willing to help us. They want us to succeed and rarely fail anyone. They teach their classes well, and then the TAs, who are Ph.D. students, conduct tutorial classes. If we attend class regularly, we should be able to do well on the exams, as most of the questions come from the lectures and tutorials.

Amazed by the infrastructure, yet to find out about the internship and placement claims.

Placements: Our college offers up to 100% placement. The highest package is about 80 lakhs; the average package sits around 23–27 lakhs. One example of a top recruiting company for our college would be Infosys. Every student gets at least one scholarship offer from the college.

Infrastructure: The classrooms have amazing technological facilities such as smart boards, projectors, microphones for teachers and a student capacity of 80–145 students per lecture hall. The hostel and food facilities were very satisfactory; hygienic fresh food was being served, as was the cleanliness of the hostel and the rooms.

Faculty: Teachers seemed to have grip over their subjects and the teaching quality is amazing, as the faculty always makes sure the students are comfortable with the concept before moving onto the next one. Exam difficulty depends on how the student prepares for it, as everything on the exam is based on what is being taught in class.

Other: I chose this course because it provides knowledge in a variety of emerging future domains. Even though the exam and study pattern are well planned by the course directors, it might be better if they give more weight to the offline exam. Events are awesome; the campus is built in a massive area and can handle a huge amount of crowds at once.
