Overall review of the Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur.

Placements: The college has a track record of 100% summer internship from last 3 years and placements are good if you are considering marketing as a major specialisation in this college. Do not consider this college, if you want to take finance as a major.

The college is a red bricks fort in a lush green jungle.

Placements: The placements are okayish as there isn't 100% placement, and the packages and profiles offered by companies are average (average package 6 LPA). The companies visiting the campus are also not great. 60% placement comes from BFSI. Also, various other marketing companies come too, but the packages are low and profiles offered are all regarding sales.

The college has good faculty, average package and good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are going good as it was mentioned. More than half of the batch has been placed. The average is 7.5 LPA and the highest being 11 LPA. Students who can afford can consider this college as a good option. Mostly marketing profile was offered to students. There is a placement committee in our college which takes care of all the placements and summer internship programme.

As a finance student, course-wise I am satisfied but placements of finance need to improve.

Placements: Placements are decent. Sales and marketing profiles are very much evident compared to finance and analytics. Average package is at around 7 lacs per annum and median would be at around 6 lacs per annum. Companies like Aditya Birla, Crisil, Verity and big brands come down to our campus. Finance people are not satisfied with the placements. Placements are good for sales people. Last year, the placement was 90%.

The companies like Amul, Asian paints, Verity, Exide, Bajaj, etc visit the campus every year. The average package offered this year was around Rs. 7/8 lakhs per annum and the highest offered was around 15 lakhs per annum. Placements: Placements are decent and getting better every year. Almost 80% of the batch gets placed in the first 2-3 months of the placement season and rest later on. The highest salary is in the range of 12-14 lacs and lowest in the range of 3.5-4 lacs. The average might be around 6-7 lacs. If you want to learn, then this is the best college.

Placements: Placements of my batch started at a very good note, and November being the best month as many companies with good packages and profiles had come. Now, the companies have slowed down their process of recruiting but if you try then you will definitely get a good job.

First and foremost, let me start with the pedagogy techniques which I found quite impressive and they are very strict with the curriculum. The campus life is vibrant, you can get almost all your daily needs within the campus. I personally find the dispensary services of the campus is not that satisfactory. Being 35 kilometres away from the city, it should have been better than what it is at present. The college gives a lot of opportunity to the students to gather knowledge not only in academics ...

According to the survey reports, IMT Nagpur is one of the top B-schools of our nation. But, the reality is slightly different. I am not saying that it is bad, in reality it is actually a good institution with a good infrastructure, skilled faculties and a truly learning environment. It is like a paid vacation in a luxurious resort. But, what I didn't like about the college was its management. Management here is rigid and not really receptive to changes.
