A college with better placements, curriculum, and good campus life.

Placements: SIOM has a 100% placement track record. All the information provided on the website related to placement is valid. There are no inflated figures. Deloitte, USI, MCK & Company, EY, etc. are top recruiters. Consulting roles are offered the most in FTE, followed by data analytics profiles. There are fewer Plant operations profiles. However, this institute is best suited for those who want to get placed in consulting firms.

This is one of the best colleges to pursue operations management course.

Placements: Placements provided in the college are very good. Students should have some work experience to get good salary packages. Placements provided for earlier batches were really good, i.e., almost 99% of the students got placed through college placements. Most of the students got PPO offers. All the students get internships from college. Companies like Deloitte and many others provide a good stipend for the students who are doing internships.

It's worth joining the SIOM if you are the enthusiast for the operation management.

Placements: The placement for the batch has been amazing with the highest CTC reaching 17 LPA, and approximately 90% of the students has been placed till now (Jan-2018). The roles offered to the students are majorly for consulting as supply chain consultant, business analyst, SAP consultant, operation manager, catalogue manager, etc. The company names are not specified because of the confidentiality, till the report gets published on the official college website. Had its growth till 2016. Now it has started degrading as top faculty members have started leaving.

Placements: Placements were good for the 2014- 2016 batch. Placements of 2015-2017 are slightly on the sad side. The institution really needs to work on their administration, which is pathetic right now. The college management mostly involves itself in silly issues overlooking the major objectives like placements, industry relations, alumni connect, brand management, etc.

SIOM is a good option for those who are inclined towards operations and supply chain. Course curriculum here covers not only all aspects in operations (including Mandatory SIX SIGMA COURSE) but all touches upon providing fundamental and advanced knowledge of overall business depending upon your minor in second year. At SIOM, one gets access to all basic facilities as college has decent infrastructure. Food here one gets bored as same dishes are repeated every week, but quality is decent. Talk...

One should join this institute only if he/she is genuinely interested in operations management. If one fails to make into tier 1 b schools, this institute is worth for him in terms of niche course and placements. Overall learning is good during the course of 20 months. You will find people around here from diversified culture and professional background. Placements are good (better than most of the tier 3 colleges). Mess food is ok. This is one B-school which has the least minimum space for an academic building but despite that whole campus turns into the sports center when the sun sets. Apart from boasting a good line-up of faculties for operations and exhaustive curriculum(specific to operations), the academic life has not much to offer. With so many rules in effect, you are bound to break one or two in your 2 years at here. While mess food is nonchalant to your taste buds, Canteen has an on again off again relationship w...

After introspecting all of them, I decided to join SIOM (Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management). The college is ok, but the faculties are not up to the mark. More focus should be given to practical learning in OM and SCM. The placements are ok but if you have core manufacturing experience then it’s an advantage .Guys having IT experience have to struggle a lot to get a good job in operations profile.

Overall academic curriculum is very good. It also gives huge opportunity to improve management skills by taking part in different competitions and participate in various activities like sports cultural etc. for overall development of the student.

Institute gives opportunity for 360 degree learning. Academic input is always excellent in any premiere institute but I need to mention symbiosis is famous for non-academic input like yoga, work out, viapsana etc. Campus environment was really good during our days. We never felt we are away from home. I am rating everything what I had felt during my tenure there.

Located on the outskirts of Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu it is a place for learning and fun. SASTRA boasts of an excellent cultural team and has been represented by it's students in all national and state level competitions.
