Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery, Jaipur was established in 2009 as a private institute. The institute offers customised courses in Designing, Jewelry Manufacturing, and Gemology. The institute is affiliated with the Rajasthan ILD Skill University and offers placement assistance to students. IIGJ Jaipur is a project of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, and the Government of India with support from the Government of Rajasthan (RIICO). The institute is spread across the 1.12 acre of land and is constructed on the land provided by RIICO in the Sitapura Industrial Area.
