Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

It is a good college but is still under construction. It provides all the needed facilities.
Placements: Almost 80% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 47 LPA. The average salary package offered is 13 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3.31 LPA. IC, iO, etc, visit IIT Nagpur. All students get internships in their final year in any of the 2 semesters as per their interest and comfort.
Infrastructure: We have all the required facilities for our course. The food is very good and tasty. South Indians can struggle a little but they cook rice, dal, and chappati every day. Some special meals are provided on some events and festive days. They care for the people who fast during Dussehra.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. They are Ph.D. holders. Most of them are doctorates. Semester exam papers are difficult. Industry development cannot be possible here. There is a greater focus on knowledge training, which now includes electronic subjects.
Other: I chose CSE because I like coding and computers. There are 3 major events hosted by our college.

According to me, our college is really good.
Placements: 80% of students were placed in my course. The highest package was 47 LPA. The lowest package was 3.36 lpa. Average package was 13.25 lpa. Median package was 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Adobe, Google, TCS, Zscaler, etc. 100% students offered internships from my course in companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc. Top roles offered were software developer, consultant, full-stack developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connectivity is really good throughout the campus. Classrooms are really good with projectors and AC. The library also contains all required books and some novels. Food quality in a mess is not that good but compared to other mess, it's better. The night canteen is really good. Medical facilities are available in the hostel. The new ground is under construction but for now we have a basketball court. And for indoor games, we have table tennis.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are not that good. But as we know, even in IITs, teachers are not that good nowadays. But professors in our college are highly qualified and really knowledgeable. Yes, the curriculum of our course is really good. And yes, it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough in our college. Passing percentage is nearly 30 to 40 percent.
Other: I really like technical stuff so I decided to choose computer engineering and other than that, I know some of the coding languages so I was interested in it. Well, campus life can be made better once college is fully constructed. As only 1/4th of our campus is now used. Events held in our college are really good, like Tantra fiesta and Abhivyakti.

Its placements are improving and are better as compared to other developing IIIT's.
Placements: In general 90+ percent of placement record almost every year with median package for CSE 12 LPA, and the lowest placement record of 4LPA. Having top recruiting companies like Goldman Sachs, amazon, Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Teach Mahindra, Oracle and others. Internship opportunities from more than 25 companies. With stipend varying from 15k to 95k rupees. Common roles are data analyst, frontend develops, software engineers.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped labs for practical learnings and campus having high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. Spacious and well-structured classroom that can accommodate minimum 80 students. Library is quite small but offers relevant resources for most of the courses. The hostel facility is decent, but requires furthermore improvement, rooms are not very spacious. Mess Food quality is quite okay, but quality can vary. Medical assistance is available almost all time. Sports & curricular are encouraged but are not give major priorities on.
Faculty: Majority of faculty is helpful, Qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is average. And curriculum is reasonable, and industry based. Curriculum keep on updating to meet with the fast-placing teach industry. Exams level is many a times tough, but the passing percentage is reasonable.
Other: As I SEE AI as upcoming trend in Teach that is why I choose this branch. And I consider IIT Nagpur Good value for feels. Major events are: 1. ). Abhivyakti: cultural Fest of IIITN. 2. )TantraFiesta: Technical fest of IIITN. And also keeps students engaged in further many hackathons and other competitions. Campus is 20 km from Nagpur city, the surrounding infrastructures are still developing. As such there is no scholarship from college end but state and central scholarships are available.

Honest review from a CSE student of IIIT Nagpur.
Placements: Our average package of the college is around 14 lakhs and the highest package was 86 lakhs last year and the lowest package was 6 lakhs. The placement rate this year was quite low due to recession, which is 58 percent. Top recruiters are Nvidia, Adobe ,Deloitte etc. Top roles offered were SDE and also some HR roles.
Infrastructure: Labs are well equipped with all the equipment that will be required for your course. The classrooms are well equipped with centralized AC, projector and comfortable seats, and all the books and e-books are available in the college library. The food of the hostel mess is below average and you will feel like they have served you the same dish; only the name of the dish is different. From 6:30 to 7:30, a doctor is available on campus and for emergency services, an ambulance is also there. As the college is still in the developing phase, there is not a playing field, but it will get constructed by December 2024.
Faculty: Teachers are not so helpful; some teachers are even not interested in their subjects but their qualifications are quite impressive. All the teachers have a PHD degree in their individual fields. Course curriculum is very relevant; this is a USP of our college. The academics are quite hectic; there are 2 minors and 1 end semester exams.
Other: I have a keen interest in game development and all the subjects that we are studying are course-oriented. Teachers should become more serious in their subjects.

It's a college that is better than most private colleges.
Placements: Currently, our batch seniors are in their 3rd year, so there is no placement record for the ECE IoT branch. Companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft visit the campus for recruitment. Internship opportunities are also very good, with stipends ranging from 10k to 50k per month.
Infrastructure: We have a dedicated IoT lab with all the equipment required, including Raspberry Pi and ESP32, etc. Hostels are not enough for all the students, so you might need to seek external accommodation, but private hostels are available, like Dia Hospitality and Shembekar Boys Hostel, etc. You can check the Reddit page for more information.
Faculty: All the professors are Ph.D. holders who graduated from top institutes in the country, like IITs and NITs. The course is very industry-ready, but you should always be on the lookout for new things to learn. Exams are tough, as you will be competing with students who left top institutes like NITs to study here.
Other: It's a good mix of mechanics and computer science, which was the main motivation for me to choose this course.

Review of IIIT Nagpur - Indian Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: About 80% of students usually get placed in my college, with about 50-90 LPA being the highest package, varying because of demands and requirements. The average package generally stands at about 13-14 LPA, whereas the lowest can go down to 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are NVIDIA, SMS DataTech, Google, etc. Our college is excellent in providing internships. About 95% of students generally get internships if they maintain their CGPA. The highest stipend: 150,000 Rs The lowest stipend: 15,000 Rs Mostly software developers, full-stack developers, and back-end developers roles are preferred according to today's industry level.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not at all good, since it is a newly built campus. The campus is under construction, due to which you won't find that good facilities. Wi-Fi facilities are not that good. The internet speed is below average, about 20-50 Mbps. However, LAN connection provides speed of about 100 Mbps, which is quite helpful. Classrooms are well air-conditioned, and even libraries. Libraries have mostly all required books in a good amount. Hostel facilities are quite okay. However, they have not provided that good furniture, as we have only 1 bed, 1 chair-table, and a half almirah. If we talk about the quality of food, it is as usual as other colleges, i.e., not that good. However, snacks are pretty good sometimes. The sports facility is again not that good because it is a newly built campus. But yes, a ground is getting constructed, and hopefully in 2-3 months, i.e., in Feb 2025, it will be constructed, so we can assume it to be good soon.
Faculty: Faculty members for core subjects like Electronics and Electrical are below average for the 1st semester. They are not that good, but other teachers and pros are good and up to the mark. There are six subjects in the 1st semester, and out of which 4 are irrelevant, but it's very obvious in the 1st semester. As talking to seniors is, of course, quite updated and is ready for industry level after the 2nd year and onwards. There are three exams per semester, i.e., Sessional 1 (15 marks). Sessional 2 (15 marks) End Sem (50/60 marks depending on the subject) Exams are not that tough, but yes, you need to pay attention in math class because everything else can be studied from YouTube. About 40% of marks are required to pass.
Other: I am studying CSE at IIIT Nagpur, and I chose this course because I know I can jump to any specialization as soon as I want. However, college timings are really up for CSE, but hopefully worth it. Talking about Fests: There are three major fests Abhivyakti (Cultural Fest) Tantra Fiesta (Technical Fest) Kshitiz (Sports Fest) and E-Summit as well Fests are quite good, and a knowledgeable amount of students come from different colleges, and we get to know a lot of new things (especially in Tantra Fiesta). Our college is far away from the city, Nagpur. It is about 25 km away from Nagpur, due to which connectivity is a big issue. Scholarships are being provided by colleges. Scholarships such as state-funded and central-funded are present in our college, which provide about 2.2 lacs per year.
