 BTech admisison to IIIT Nagpur is based on candidate’s JEE Main exam score followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) through which candidates are allotted the seat. The seat allotment also depends on the college cutoff and a candidate’s preference for that course and college. However, for the remaining vacant seats, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) manages the counselling process. 

 During 2022 placements, 70 out of the 75 students got placed under CSE which is much better than the other Engineering branch. IIIT Nagpur offers BTech in six specialisations, namely Computer Science Engineering (Artificial lntelligence and Machine Learning), Computer Science Engineering (Data Science and Analytics), Computer Science Engineering (Human Computer lnteraction and Gaming Technology), Electronics and Communication Engineering (Internet of Things), Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The total tuition fee for BTech at IIIT Nagpur is INR 7.92 lakh. This fee, however, is sourced from unofficial sources, hence it is indicative. As per the official fee structure released in 2022, the total fee is close to INR 9.34 lakh. But this amount is inclusive of the one-time deposits. As per the admission guidelines of the institute, IIIT Nagpur admits students to its BTech programme based on a valid JEE Main score. Students must fulfil the basic eligibility i.e., to pass Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 75% from a recognised board. IIIT Nagpur will release 7-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:
