Affordable and satisfactory results.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course was 75%. The top recruiting companies were magazines, newspapers, PR agencies, and government departments. Around 50% of the students got internship opportunities. The highest package was 7 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: There are various facilities in different blocks that one can avail of at the hostel. Like for premium, you have all-kid facilities with good quality delivery. The food also has a has a satisfactory taste. The department has a good AC connection and a Wi-Fi connection.
Faculty: The vast curriculum is what helps get students good placement. To make us industry-ready, various seminars are also conducted to increase our industry connections. The passing rate is 95%. The teachers are good, as is their teaching quality, and yes, they are qualified.

IIMC - Indian Institute of Mass Communication provides good placements and campus life.
Placements: Placement drives are held in February. Companies like TOI, ABP News, Economic Times, All India Radio, PTI, and Dooradarshan come to the campus and hire students for various positions. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, by Sony Entertainment, Mumbai, whereas the average package offered is 3 LPA. As per the placement cell, approximately 75% of students got placed. I joined AIR as a content executive for its Social Media Cell.
Infrastructure: There are updated and well-versed volumes of books, journals, and magazines in the library, along with high-speed internet. Classrooms are all digital, with projector screens, speakers, and microphones. There are a lot of co-curricular activities on campus, such as table tennis, badminton courts, tennis courts, and more. I was a part of the film club on campus, and we used to watch one film every Saturday in the auditorium, followed by a discussion on the film itself. Each hostel room has a single bed, a wardrobe, a study table, and a chair. Rooms are well lit and ventilated. Food in the mess is of decent quality. Menu is dynamic and changed every day. Hostel registration and room allotment are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Hostel fee was Rs.5000 per month, and mess charges were around Rs.3500 per month. In case you couldn't get a room in the hostel, you can stay in a rented room or PG in Ber Sarai, Kishan Garh, and Vasant Kunj, close to the institute.
Faculty: The faculty for our department are diverse. There are professors who've been senior journalists or are still practicing journalists, academicians in media and media studies, former speakers, lawyers, and more. Teaching methods are very practical. We are given assignments for reporting, exploring the neighborhoods, finding out real stories, using camera equipment, and much more. There are two semesters per year, and term exams are conducted twice, in November and May. All the examinations are difficult, but we had vivas and research projects, which made it pretty interesting. We also had a thesis submission at the end of the second semester, which was the most informative and interesting part of the course.

With the right people, it is a good place to be.
Placements: Placements can be overwhelming. Not an easy process. As my placements took place during peak times of Covid, not many good companies were hiring. Would be no harm to look out for yourself and keep your options open. Build your CV, they do not allow internships during the course, it would great if you do them before joining.
Infrastructure: Delhi campus is beautiful. Next to JNU, the greenery and rest of the infrastructure makes it a comfortable place to be and study. The library is fine. The collection in the library is good, can find exclusive pieces that you won't find easy and affordable in the market. Well built, detailed structure of the building.
Faculty: Again, this can be really overwhelming. Curriculum is good but really huge to be covered in 9 months. Professors are very nice, faculty (some of them) are helpful. If you focus and study well, exams are good. Some professors are really there for you, incase you need any help.

IIMC especially IIMC, Delhi gives good exposure and a place where you can grow & learn.
Placements: Till 2019, majority of students got placement from the campus. As far as 2020 is concerned due to the corona pandemic the placements are going on while offline placements will be there once the situation improves. It will be interesting to know as to how the placements have gone as till now we have got only negative responses.
Infrastructure: From classrooms to labs to everything. Infrastructure is quite good. Good quality food in the canteen at the most reasonable price along with beautiful gardens and cleanliness. Moreover, you can enjoy nature's beauty and the staff there will be quite cooperative.
Faculty: Teachers are good. Most of the teachers who come are visiting faculty, so sometimes you will be like wow and sometimes you will fall asleep in the classes. You need to work more yourself. The curriculum is relevant but again you have to work on your own. You have to take initiatives on your own and just utilise whatever resources you have to enhance your skills.
Other: English Journalism is one of the flagship course of IIMC and here you can have wide-ranging contacts in the media as well as various other fields. Exposure is there but eventually, it will be your capability that will take you forward.

A great Institute with dedicated teacher and faculty members.
Placements: Recruitment for 2018 batch wasn't as expected. The media organisation/companies we wished for did not turn up for recruitment. Nevertheless, most of the students were placed in a good media house. Probably 60% got placed during the process and the minimum package could be estimated at Rs 15,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Library, Wi-Fi, classrooms, common hall and more were provided. The facilities, all together, was great. The mess, however, could be made better. Complaints have been filed too. Hoping to see some changes for the new students. Games like cricket, badminton at the campus was highly enjoyed.
Faculty: Yes, teachers and the colleagues were great. The dedication and efforts are commendable. We would however be happy if more syllabus could be added to our study: ranging from the current affairs. Theory and practical should go hand in hand. Overall, a great institute.
Other: Because I wanted to be a part of the society and was hoping that this course will help me hone my skills and further develop me into the person I wished to see.
