Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course was 75%. The top recruiting companies were magazines, newspapers, PR agencies, and government departments. Around 50% of the students got internship opportunities. The highest package was 7 lacs per annum.
Placements: Placement drives are held in February. Companies like TOI, ABP News, Economic Times, All India Radio, PTI, and Dooradarshan come to the campus and hire students for various positions. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, by Sony Entertainment, Mumbai, whereas the average package offered is 3 LPA. As per the placement cell, approximately 75% of students got placed. I joined AIR as a content executive for its Social Media Cell.
Placements: Placements can be overwhelming. Not an easy process. As my placements took place during peak times of Covid, not many good companies were hiring. Would be no harm to look out for yourself and keep your options open. Build your CV, they do not allow internships during the course, it would great if you do them before joining.
Placements: In our course, there were around 50 seats. It was quite hard for me to crack 3 rounds and get into IIMC. Due to corona, we did not receive a good placement drive, but there were certain media houses, where some of us got placed. Even after final results, our college is still ensuring placements for students. If you are an IIMC student, then you can have the best experience in nearby JNU, just a gate away. IIMC is the mecca of journalism, and every possible media exposure is provided to students ...

Very few students do an internship because they complete their courses applied for jobs at several companies. They generally don't offer the top roles as they ar...
Placements: Till 2019, majority of students got placement from the campus. As far as 2020 is concerned due to the corona pandemic the placements are going on while offline placements will be there once the situation improves. It will be interesting to know as to how the placements have gone as till now we have got only negative responses.
Placements: Recruitment for 2018 batch wasn't as expected. The media organisation/companies we wished for did not turn up for recruitment. Nevertheless, most of the students were placed in a good media house. Probably 60% got placed during the process and the minimum package could be estimated at Rs 15,000 per month.
Placements: The placement rate of of our institute is 100%. Previous year more than 60 companies visited our campus for campus drive. Almost all the students got placed. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. In the year 2018-19, around 55 companies visit our campus for placements.
Placements: IIMC is one of the premier institutions for journalism. The placements are good for my senior batch. Since for the initial stages of journalism, they don't pay much, the average salary package offered was around 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The highest salary package went up to 11 LPA to 12 LPA for advertising and public relations department. Renowned media houses like Times Now, Hindu, India Today, etc., visit the college to hire the students. Students were offered roles from print media as well as reporter...
Placements: Almost 98% people got placed but as its a media college and the jobs are mostly from media houses and publications the average starting package goes maximum upto 3Lakhs. The best part is the popular media houses like business standard, economic times, aaj tak, india today, the hindu etc. Come for placement. For AD-PR course the average package goes up high as marketing agencies like adfactor, edelman, HCL etc. Come. Its highly efficient as the key to rise in media is to get. In first as it's rea...

Well, IIMC comes with a big reputation, but sadly all that is reserved for the Delhi headquarter campus. IIMC Dhenkanal also has huge potential in becoming the number one. Interestingly, the number of placements that students get "on their own" without the campus selection is far greater at Dhenkanal campus than Delhi. Not to forget, we have not got as much help from the I &B Ministry as bestowed on Delhi centre (as always). It was like, you're a part of the same family, but not given the equal ...
Placements: Our college provides good courses but average placements. You can trust teachers who have a background in media. They have extensive knowledge in the field.
