If the candidates want to know whether they have passed the CUET PG 2025 exam or not, they are required to check the cut-off marks released by the participating universities and colleges. The CUET cutoff displays the minimum and maximum marks scored by the candidates in the CUET PG exam.

Q:   What are the CUET PG cutoff marks for 2024?

A:

The cutoff marks of CUET PG 2024 are the minimum marks applicants need to secure to qualify for the CUET exam. The exam-conducting authorities prepare different cutoffs of CUET PG for different categories.

Different participating universities prepare different CUET PG cutoffs based on various factors, i.e., test takers and difficulty level of the exam.

Q:   When will CUET PG cutoff marks be out?

A:

CUET PG 2024 cut off marks, points or percentages are the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score in order to get qualified/ enrolled for a particular seat in one of the participating universities of the CUET PG exam.

It is to be noted that NTA will not release any cutoff list.

The CUET PG 2024 cutoff will be released separately for each course and university after the successful conduction of all the CUET PG 2024 counselling rounds.

Q:   What factors determine the CUET PG Cut off?

A:

The cut-off marks for candidates majorly depend on the following factors:

  • Difficulty level of the CUET PG 2024 Examination
  • The number of seats available for a particular course
  • Total Number of Test Takers
  • NIRF Ranking of the university for which the candidate applied
  • Category of the candidate

Hence, because of all these factors, CUET PG 2024 candidates can expect different sets of cutoffs for different participating universities.

After the declaration of the CUET PG 2025 result, all the colleges or universities release the course-wise passing marks or CUET PG cutoff, which is used for shortlisting candidates for admission to PG courses. Universities and institutes will release a counselling schedule and merit list based on the CUET result.

CUET PG 2025: Knowing Low Scores and Passing Marks

According to the CUET PG exam analysis, a score of below 110 can be considered a low score in the CUET PG 2025 exam. Such a score may grant admission to BA, BA (Hons), BSc and BSc (Hons) courses in private and state universities. However, it is essential to know what is considered a low score depends on the course and college that the student is applying to as each university has its own CUET PG cutoff criteria

A score between the range of 140-170 can be regarded as an average score in the CUET PG 2025 exam. Students with such scores will likely secure admission to good colleges in India. On the other hand, a score above 180-220 may be considered a good score in the CUET exam and such candidates have higher chances of getting admission in courses such as BTech, BA LLB, BCom (Hons) etc, at some of the top colleges and universities in India such as Delhi University (DU), BHU (Banaras Hindu University), JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University), Ambedkar University, etc.
