Our college provides great infrastructure and teachers.

Placements: Currently, we are in MCA 2nd year. So, companies haven't come yet. Our seniors got placed at some of the startup companies and some got placed at ApMoSys and some at TCS through off-campus mostly. About 55% of our seniors got placed. But in the case of our super seniors, that percentage was much higher.

Our college is autonomous now. It is one of the best colleges in Odisha.

Placements: Students have to apply for other JEE entrance exams, and as per the ranking, students apply to this college. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture and many software companies visit our college to recruit students. About 70-80% of the students from our course got an internship.

This college ranks 2nd in Odisha, and it has excellent infrastructure.

Placements: From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Wipro, TCS, Jindal, etc., come here. The highest package offered is about 5.5 LPA, and the lowest package is about 2.8 LPA. 30-40% of students may get the placements. The percentage is very low because the college is situated in a rural area.

You can opt for it instead of those self-claimed private colleges.

Placements: In CS, almost 100% of the students got placed. However, mainly service-based companies are coming for recruitment. TCS and Infosys are the 2 most recruiting companies, and some other companies are also coming, which are offering a salary package of 2 to 2.5 LPA. Placements of non-CSE students are pathetic.

It is best in teaching, facilities, environment, staff, infrastructure and placements in 2019.

Placements: We studied ETC engineering from the 2015-2019 batch, which is the 34th batch of our college. There were around 60 students in the ETC department. Our batch had roughly more than 600 students. Half of the students of our branch got placed in recruitment drives both on-campus and off-campus. Some students opted for higher studies, while some students are working in different engineering fields. Moreover, some joined M.Tech, while some opted for management studies. Some students are preparing for g...

It's a good place to study with a good atmosphere. But you can't depend on college for placements.

Placements: CSE has the best placement rate as compared to other branches here. TCS was the major recruiting company for our college for the last few years, but as per its new policy, it does not visit any campus rather conduct off-campus drives, which are open for all students. Some companies visit the campus for placements. But I advise you not to depend on the college for placements rather opt for better opportunities available in off-campus drives. The main hurdle behind the placements is the remote loc...

Placements: The year when I passed out almost 200 students got placed out of 900. The highest package offered was 8 Lacs and the lowest was 3.3 Lacs. TCS, Capgemini etc. Were the top recruiters. No internships from the College, everyone has to search from their own.

Review of Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology.

Placements: It is a good college for placements, but not for all branches mostly for CSE, etc., But the rest branches get placed but mostly in non-core companies. The college should try to bring core companies for remaining branches so that students, when placed, can work in a better way.

I am satisfied, but college need more development.

Placements: Though more students were placed during the last couple of years, this year it is a little less. The highest salary package offered by Infosys is 4.2 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is something 1.5 LPA. Till now, the top role offered to the students is a software developer, but through the coming campus, students will be in Tata BSL with a better salary.

College has good placements before but this year placement has decreased.

Placements: Nearly 20 % of students are placed in our batch this year, the placement will increase further as more companies are coming in the new year. The highest salary package is 4.5 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. For our course, top recruiting company is TATA BSL. The role depends upon the specialization of the student.

I am well satisfied with our college, but it depends on our efforts on how we excel.

Placements: Alumni of IGIT are well placed in many MNCs and governmental organisations. Recently, in the last two to three years, there is some recession in campus placements, but students have not stopped excelling in the competitive field. This year, almost all software companies have hired final year students from all disciplines. Some of those companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Mindtree, GyanSys, Capgemini, etc. Our batch strength is around 700 students which include stude...
