Interested in knowledge then this college is perfect. Even its tagline says good education, good job.

Placements: At present, I am at the 6th Sem, so let me tell about previous year placement. TCS and CTS offered students packages starting from Rs. 3.2 LPA to Rs. 6.5 L.P.A. Around, 200 CSE, 150 IT, 150 ECE, 50 mechanical, and 50 electrical students were placed here. Here, 90% of the students were placed. BCA, BBA M.Tech and MBA students got opportunities in Deloitte, Microsoft and Amazon. More companies like Sankalp semiconductors, NRI Infotech, SAP Labs, Infosys etc., have also come to the college. Entirely satisfied with the well-trained, and well-qualified faculty, and the placement cell.

Placements: The placements for my batch is going well. Most of us had already been placed. Only a few are left, hope we all get recruited, until the end of our semester. Already, 90% of the students got placed. The highest salary was 12 LPA by the Adobe, and the lowest package was 3.36 LPA offered by TCS. The companies visited the college are Adobe, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. They provided mainly IT services and IT products roles to the students. The PwC offered an internship, and stipend provided is Rs. 2...

The faculty and curriculum are great. The infrastructure is not good. The placements are good.

Placements: The placements for our senior batch wasn't bad for them. TCS, Cognizant, PWD, Mahindra Tech, etc., visit the campus. They got the good roles in the company. 57% students got internships from the college. There is a placement cell. It is quite useful for students like us.

Really good place to study and learn.

Placements: The placements were pretty good. The highest was Rs. 25,000 per month and the lowest was Rs. 16,000 per month. The companies like TCS, Concentrix, and Cognizant visited the campus. Nearly, all the students got internships in various companies. The stipend offered was not actually known to me. There is a placement cell in the campus.

If a student is here to study then he will have a better place.

Placements: The placement is very nice if you cooperate with the college academics and other activities going on within the college. The placement of the senior batch's students is going nice. We get their experience and can work accordingly to get the placement. At last, it depends on the students to grab the opportunity.

Good and bad things of our college, IEM.

Placements: The placements are very good. Last year Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra was conducted campus drive at IEM. More than 80% campusing was done. Besides, many BPOs companies do campus drives here. Many tech support companies conduct campus drive here.

If you're looking for a guaranteed IT job, this is the place.

Placements: IEM takes pride in giving 100% placements to every batch in engineering. But more than 90% of the placements are in the IT companies. TCS, Infosys and Ericsson are regular recruiters. Of the core companies, Sankalp Semiconductors and Nomura are the standouts. PWC has also been recruiting over the past two years.

Good for study and decent for facilities.

Placements: Placement of IEM is quite good, and almost all seniors got placed, and few students left unplaced from our batch. The salary package offered was 3 to 5 LPA, companies like ACC, Asian paints, HSBC, ITC infotech, visits every year for campus placement. The college also provides in house training to enhance the skills of the student in the interested field.

I am moderately satisfied. The progress is slow, but still it is there.

Placements: Almost every year, the mass recruiting companies like Tata Consultancy Services give offer letters to a bulk number of students. Almost 90% of the students get placed through this process. Other companies like Genpact, Cognizant also take a handful. Even with average grades, one has a good chance of getting placed keeping in mind that the jobs are not high paying. The average salary will be around 3 lacs per annum. The institute does not provide internships. One has to fend for himself/herself ...

My honest and open review based on what I've experienced and what I've achieved here

Placements: If you are meritorious and learned enough, you will definitely achieve high placements of some good companies viz. Samsung, IBM, HCL with a package of around Rs. 12-15 LPA. Average students with some punctuality in studies can get placed in TCS, CTS, etc. with a package of Rs. 3-5 LPA. Around 50-60 percent students get placed if they maintain an assertive approach and mindset.

Nice place to study. Not an ideal place for a lot of extracurricular activities.

Placements: The placement of IT, CSE, and ECE are very good here. Almost 75 percent of students from these branched get placed each year. The companies like TCS, Labvantage, NRI Financial technology, Sankalp Semiconductor, Cognizant, and many others participate in the campus drive. Seniors of the campus were placed heavily, but only in the IT industry.

My college - Institute of Engineering and Management.

Placements: The placements in IEM have been good for the past 3-4 years. We have a record of 100% placement, and it is well-maintained every year. TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro and some major IT companies visit our college to hire the students. Every year, Sankalp Semiconductors is one of the major core company which comes to our college to recruit the students.

Above average college but no campus. Good campus placement.

Placements: Almost all the students are placed, many with more than 1 job offer. The highest package goes up to 15 lakhs while the average package is almost 3.5 lakhs. Like most other colleges, the students are generally placed in IT companies. The internships are not so common.

Review of IEM, Saltlake, Kolkata

Placements: The institute has a very good placement record among all other engineering colleges in the city. It has around hundred percent of placement in the years 2014 and 2015 and in 2016 also, it claims to have a hundred percent placement record. In 2017, the placement is still going on and many of the students are placed well and they got good jobs.

I don't like the over-disciplined nature of the college. Besides this IEM is a good college.

Placements: The placement of the college is good as compared to all other private colleges in West Bengal. A lot of good companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant etc. visit the college for recruitment. A lot of students got selected for the interviews. I can't say the placement is 100% as in their prospectus, but a good student number of students who are dedicated get at least 3-4 jobs offers and an average student gets 1-2 job offers as we know nothing is 100% perfect in this universe. ...

The entire good and bad quality, advantage and disadvantage have been mentioned above.

Placements: The college actually offers 100% placement as it mentions on its website and various forums. Various companies like Directi, Voltas and many other, come and provides a maximum CTC of Rs. 30 LPA. The placement cell in IEM is very active which provides a very impressive opportunity to their students. The students are also trained with a very heavy workload on their head for the entire 4 years of their engineering. The seniors are also very supportive, not in every case, but when you face any issu...

IEM, the best private college in Kolkata for placements

Placements: This is the best private college in Kolkata for placements. We got almost all MNCs for placements. The placement was really good not only in our batch but also in other batches, which was almost 100%. Many top-level companies like TCS, Deloitte, NRI Fintech and Cognizant visited our college and recruited.

If one is not getting top colleges like IIT, NIT, etc. then IEM is a very good college

Placements: Regarding placements, it is very good for CS, IT and ECE. Students of EE and ME also got placements but mostly in the IT sector. Some good companies like Sankalp Semiconductor, Voltas, Blue Star and Daikin also visited but they took less number of students. The average package is about 3.3-3.7 LPA. In the recent year, 100% placements were offered and the max package was 15 LPA. As you can see, the placement in core companies is less in maximum colleges and even in some NITs.
