B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology - Batch of 2026

Perfusion technology in IPGME&R and SSKMH - A beautiful journey .
Placements: All the students from our course were placed. 15k per month was the lowest package, and 30k per month with lodging and food was the highest. Students were recruited at reputed institutes like R.N. Tagore, CMRI, and Apollo Hospital, where cardiac surgery is performed. All students get to do an internship at the college and get approximately 10k per month as a stipend during the internship. Though you get a degree as a perfusionist, you can also be offered roles like critical care technologist and operation theatre technologist.
Infrastructure: We have a well-equipped lecture theatre with projectors, computers, AC, green boards, speakers, and microphones. There is also a dissection hall and other practical rooms where you can gain experience in your practical work. You also get to work in a real cardiac ICU and OT. You get great exposure. There are four canteens and many other fast-food stores on campus. We have fields where you can play cricket, soccer, or badminton. A gym is also available. There is a central library, and we also have an in-department library. However, a hostel is not offered for our course.
Faculty: The teaching quality of the professors is good, and all of them are highly educated doctor professors. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. There are no semester exams, but there is an annual exam, and it is not very tough. You can pass the exam easily if you invest a couple of hours a day in studies. The pass percentage is almost 80-90%.
Other: I chose this course as an alternative to NEET because I wanted to be in the medical field. The best thing about this course is that you get to enter the cardiac ICU and OT, where doctors get to enter after qualifying for a specialization course. There is an annual fest in our college called CRUX. You will get well-connected in the medical field if you enter this college. You can get a scholarship of ₹60k per year through SVMCM if you fulfill its criteria. Extracurricular activities include seminars at different medical institutions, and you also present your self-made presentations.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2027
4.8

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 100% students get placement after completing. The lowest package is 480000 per year (monthly 40000). The highest package is 70,000 per month (if you apply for a medical officer). Income may vary. The internship is offered by the college and mandatory to get a degree. Internship duration is 12 months. Payment during internship: 32000 per month. Roles offered are housestaffship, medical officer, etc.
Infrastructure: Library: for access of medical students, free, adjacent student study room. Classrooms: air conditioning, use of projectors, etc. Wi-Fi facilities are available on campus and in the library. Hostel rooms are decent, Wi-Fi, gym facilities, etc. Food quality is really good and there is more than one canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and approachable. Teaching quality is good and as per competency. The course curriculum is practical and thus relevant. Semester exams are moderate to tough, but final examinations are not usually tough and easy to pass. Pass percentage over 85%.
Other: MBBS is the basic course for practicing medicine in India. Things to improve in MBBS duration for completing course should be increased. Scholarship - 1. MCM (15500-20500) 2. SVMCM ( 60000) Fests- 1. Perizia ( academic learning programme) 2. Crux ( annual function) 3. Foundation day

Diploma in Radiography - Batch of 2021
4.2

Absolutely dissatisfied because of no placement system like engineering colleges.
Placements: After 12th board from Science background, one have to appear in entrance exam conducted by state medical faculty of west Bengal. You have to secure good score or rank in the exam to get admission in government medical colleges. There are total 13 departments and Radiography is one of them. In my department, there are 35 seats for one year in our departments. Two years Diploma course with 6 month internship, total duration 2.5 years. Only 2000 per month stipend is provided during internship period. After passing out, you have to find your job by yourself. There is no campusing system like engineering. IPGMER is a most popular institution in Bengal, so students of this institution get priority in private hospitals for jobs. The Salaries is not much in this field. There are only 15-20k per month is given in private sector to freshers.
Infrastructure: There is not any hostel provided to Diploma students. If you are doing B.Sc. course, then you will get hostels. Besides we can use other facilities like canteen, play ground, library etc. There is free Wi-Fi available in our departments. Food in canteen is pretty good. One can play outdoor games as well with indoors.
Faculty: All Teachers are qualified doctors. MD Professors take our class. Their knowledeis huge. One can learn a lot of things from respected teachers. Students are prepared for practical experience beside theoretical knowledge. Class test or final exam is not so difficult. One can passed easily if he attend all classes and studied little bit. About 90% students passed in exam.
Other: I always want to be a doctor. The students who can not crack NEET it is a alternative for such students. The employee of our departments are called Medical Technologist. The guys who are interested in medical field can choose this if he/she failed in NEET exam. U can enjoying your life with some lovely college friends. One advise: government should recruit medical technologists regularly ( once in every year). .

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2022

It is one of the best colleges in India.
Placements: Internships are compulsory in our college. The stipend offered is Rs.20,000 per month.
Infrastructure: We have two carrom boards and two table tennis boards. It also provides a small playground. Hostel facilities are good, and elevator is also available. Hostel provides facilities like a fire control system, cameras, 24X7 water supply, and a canteen. There is a good security guard as well. The washrooms are clean.
Faculty: Faculty members are average in our college. Some of them use powerpoint presentations to teach properly. Our course curriculum is old. MCI syllabus is good for our juniors. The semester exams are not good. There should be more practical intelligence-based questions than outdated questions.
Other: There is no scope for extracurricular activities other than some indoor sports. There is a plan to teach self-defense techniques to the doctors but it never started.

Absolutely right college for Medical. Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: No placement records are required for a medical background. Everything is dependent on your ability. As you are aware, it is one of the best hospitals in the world. If you're going to an interview and you're from the Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, this will be great for you.
Infrastructure: There are top medical faculty members at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research. You can connect to free Wi-Fi. Each and every department has its own laboratory. There is central library. There is good food and a mess available.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful and friendly. If you inquire about qualifications, you will discover that all of the professors are highly qualified. Seriously, they train students to serve the entire nation. Semester exams are not difficult, they are average. You must achieve a minimum of 50%.
Other: I choose this course because of return of investment and yes of course respectable Job.

IPGME&R is a professional career building platform.
Placements: The college, popularly known as IPGME&R, is a fully government-aided medical college. As MBBS is a professional course, every student is placed for a one-year compulsory internship. Being a professional course, every student is offered the same value professionally and economically. As it is a government medical college and hospital, there are no recruiters companies for the course. Almost 90% of students get placed on the basis of their academic performances and skills.
Infrastructure: The college is government-aided, so all the facilities and infrastructure required for the MBBS course are offered almost for free. Wi-Fi and well-oriented and good classrooms are available for students. Laboratories are available for each department. A large and accessible central library is present in my college. Our college authority provides us with well-oriented, neat and clean hostel for students who reside far from the campus. Our hostel is very nice, comfortable and accessible for students. The quality and quantity of food items given in our hostel canteen are good enough and sufficient. Medical facilities, sports and games are available for free.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful, highly qualified and equitably knowledgeable. They teach us thoroughly and look into developing our personality and professional career with their essential knowledge and valuable motivation. MBBS course is curriculum relevant. As it is a fully government-aided and MBBS course, it doesn't make students industry-ready. The semester exams in our college are neither too difficult nor too easy. The pass percentage is around 80%.
Other: Since my childhood, I have wanted to become a doctor and want to treat people. So, I chose this course. The best thing about this course is it gives a chance to serve people. I think the quality and quantity of facilities and faculty members must be increased for better overall results. An annual cultural event is celebrated in our college. Fests and freshers are a part of our college's tradition. Different extracurricular activities like events, blood donation camps, and patient-doctor relationship programs are performed occasionally. Every year, financially backward and meritorious students are given some scholarships for their economical support to study.

Students who have completed their 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Science stream (PCMB) are eligible for B Optometry. Colleges offer admission through merit mostly, only very few conduct entrance exams. Many colleges also offer admission on the basis of NEET score.
