Q:   Is it worth pursuing B.E. / B.Tech at Jagruti Institute of Engineering and Technology?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Worth Pursuing B.E./B.Tech at Jagruti Institute of Engineering and Technology?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Cons:

    * Poor placement record: Most students from the Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical departments did not find jobs during their final year due to lack of company visits and low package offers.
    * Limited infrastructure: The college lacks modern laboratory equipment, and most of the existing ones are non-functional (around 80%). There is no hostel facility, and the canteen serves poor-quality food.
    * Unqualified faculty: Some professors are M.Tech students themselves, and the curriculum is not well-maintained. This can hinder the growth of students.
    * Limited events and extracurricular activities: The college rarely organizes events, and sports are limited to the annual fest.
    * Placement cell inefficiency: The college's placement cell seems ineffective in attracting top companies and providing internships.
    * Infrastructure and maintenance issues: Transportation facilities are particularly bad, and the college grounds are poorly maintained.

    Pros:

    * Good faculty and teaching methods: Many professors are helpful and willing to clarify doubts, making learning easier.
    * Flexible timing: The college offers flexible timetables, allowing students to focus on their studies.
    * Cultural activities and bonding: While events might be rare, cultural activities bring together students from different branches, fostering a sense of community.
    * Some qualified faculty: A few professors hold Ph.D.s or higher degrees, indicating some academic rigor.

    Recommendation:

Considering these factors, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons before taking admission into the B.E./B.Tech programme at Jagruti Institute of Engineering and Technology.

While the college shows promise in terms of teaching methodology and faculty quality, its limitations in infrastructure, placement records, and extracurricular activities make it challenging for students seeking a holistic education and career opportunities.

Unless significant improvements are made in these areas, it might be advisable for prospective students to consider alternative institutions offering similar programs.

No one was placed because of Covid 19. Infrastructure is not good, faculty is average.
Placements: No one was placed for my course and other courses due to covid-19 there was a lock down and no company came for placements. I haven't seen any top company coming to our Institute for placements, small companies do come which will give low package that to barely comes.
Infrastructure: If someone wants to take admission in mechanical, civil, EEE in this college I suggest you to don't take admission. Better to wait for next phase. College infrastructure is not too good. If you are looking for placements after your graduation, this is not the right college. Better go for other college.
Faculty: Faculty is quite good, but they are not that much knowledgeable. Teaching good is quite good. Teachers are helpful, some of them are qualified and knowledgeable and some of them are not. But still they are helpful. No, this does not make student's industry ready because some of the equipment will work and some not in labs.
Other: I like mechanical engineering & best thing about this course is it is all about machines. Events and fests are barely there in our campus. Only once in a year that to only one day.

I am not satisfied with the faculty members, infrastructure, etc.
Placements: There is no scope for mechanical and civil engineering students on this campus. We didn't get any on-campus interviews for this course. As per the latest information we got to know that mechanical engineering course is removed from the college. No one got the internship opportunity. We didn't get any interviews.
Infrastructure: It has the basic infrastructure. L abs have machines and equipment, but 80% of them won't work. There is no hostel in college, but we have a very small canteen where the owner gets food from outside like bakery items. Sports are conducted once a year with all requests.
Faculty: Teachers here are not qualified. They all are the M.Tech students who teach us. No proper curriculum is maintained. We have a very less pass percentage and the strength of students is also very less. It is better to learn by sitting at home. No available are books in the library. No design software is trained for students.
Other: Choosing mechanical engineering is very good but choosing the right campus is more important. For doing B.Tech while working somewhere else is better on this campus.

A few changes on the campus makes it more perfect.
Placements: In my batch, there are about 70 members. We have good faculty and labs at the same time. The faculty are supportive in many ways with the matter of our interests. Cultural activities play a major role in bringing all branch students to one place, and it helps to build good relationships.
Infrastructure: The facilities are not up to the mark. The quality of studies is good. We had flexible timings, where we have learned quality things. Sports on the campus are limited, but some sports events are conducted by our branch head, and my team won 1st place in the cricket tournament.
Faculty: The teaching is good, and it relates to our core interests. We have the best curriculum, which is very handy for students. But it is not 100% good to go for industry, and further, some classified courses should be needed to become pro in industry which help us to build our career.
Other: My batch is very active. We participated in every aspect of events like cultural day, bonalu and Ganesh festivals. My course is very related to the connection between hardware and software.

Really our college very good for placements.
Placements: Placements are average, Infosys will come to our college and takes the students by the interview, students who have 85% CGPA will be selected for interview mostly byjus company will come to our college, company will also gives more package and good choice.
Infrastructure: Faculty is very good and their teaching is somewhat good, but the college is not giving second Saturday as holiday and our college is getting gold medal in both indoor and outdoor games with other colleges and the faculty is having good qualification of lectures.
Faculty: Teachers are giving more information to us and the teachers are very helpful to us. Teachers are friendly with us, yes students are ready for industry purpose. Teachers are highly qualified and they have more knowledge and they are free to clarify our doubts at any time and anywhere.
Other: EEE will give more government jobs.

Review of Jagruti Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: There were few placements for our senior batch. Only 10% of students were placed. The average salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. The highest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 8,000 per month. Mostly startup companies visit our college for placements. MNCs may visit the campus for placements. Our college provides roles only in the BPO sector with low salary packages. Internships are the not provided in our college. Students are just fed-up with their affiliated university examinations. Placement cell is available in our college, but it doesn't have a proper way to maintain it.
Infrastructure: Students don't have access to our college Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms are not maintained well. Our college has a library equipped with only academic books. We don't have a medical facility at our college. The college encourages sports and games only in our college premises. The college ground is small which is not well maintained. The quality of the food served in the canteen is poor. Hostel facility is not provided here. I am facing many issues regarding the infrastructure of the college. Mainly transportation facility of our college is the worst.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good at teaching. They are very helpful. They help us to gain knowledge and improve. They are highly skilled and highly qualified. The teaching method used by them is highly appreciable. They are the reason for our college name and fame. The faculty to student ratio is 1:30. We didn't get any industrial exposure until now.
Other: Our college conducts very few events. Our college also provides scholarships.

Absolutely beautiful college with good faculty and placements.
Placements: Every student will get placed. The name of the placement officer is Ravikanth; he will train every student to get placed. For freshers, the salary package is 2.4 LPA based on company norms. I'm not sure about internships, but I'm pretty sure about placements, and everyone will definitely get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very pleasant. There is no Wi-Fi, but people can have a good experience with infrastructure. Labs, library, sports, games, computer labs, indoor games, as well as canteen are available in the college. There are no hostel rooms. For 4 years, I never faced any issues with infrastructure or any other related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: JIET has good faculty members. They are even providing guest faculty for every course so that students don't miss any syllabus. Civil, mechanical and other courses get industry exposure. I'm a civil candidate, and in most colleges, there will be issues like no faculty for civil and no equipment, but I promise, you'll get good faculty with all civil equipment here. During projects, faculty members will help you in order to get good marks and percentage.
Other: I was the only girl in the civil branch. Firstly, I was very scared, but my principal called me and promised me that these 4 years would be memorable days in my life, and he asked me to let him know if I face any problem. At the end of college life, I never got a chance to complain about anything, including infrastructure, faculty, fees, people, and classmates. When I joined the college, on the very fine day everyone was celebrating engineer's day, and I was impressed. We'll celebrate freshers day, fest, traditional day, radio jockey functions, farewell and many more.
