Absolutely satisfied because of strong connection.
Placements: The placement rate for my course was 80%, with the highest salary package at 20 LPA and the lowest at 5 LPA. The average salary package was 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies for this course are Adani and Wood. In addition, 80% of students got internships from their courses, and the top role offered was Graduate Trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available for my course are good. The hostel facilities are nice, and the quality of the food in the mess and canteen is very good. Medical facilities are available, and there are opportunities for sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is top-notch. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I chose this course because of its high demand in the industry. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. It's worth to join, really good infrastructure and facilities .
Placements: The highest package was 60 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. The average is 10 LPA. Companies like Wipro and TCS recruit here; students also get placed at Google and Microsoft and get internships. Students get jobs as software developers, data analysts, and many other roles.
Infrastructure: The labs are good. Classrooms need more care. The library has good books. The quality of food in the hostel is good. Sports and games are very popular here; everybody participates. The Wi-Fi facility is good here. The mess and canteen are very neat and clean.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified enough. They are very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is good enough to get opportunities in the technical field. It makes students industry-ready. Seniors also help a lot with our career perspectives. Semester exams are not that tough; you'll pass simply without any complications.
Other: The campus is very beautiful; you'll love it. The connection between seniors and juniors is unbreakable. You'll get a lot of scholarship opportunities here. There's a lot of scope for extracurricular activities.

The JGEC Diary ( The good and bad side of a Tier 3 college).
Placements: In this academic year 2023-2024, 60% of final-year students are placed. The highest package is 60 LPA from Computer Science and Engineering. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA. The top recruiters are Atlassian, WTW, Knorex, Microsoft, Hexaware, L&T, etc. Ninety percent of students got internships from our college. The top roles offered in our course are Software Development Engineer.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is not too good, but they provide us with a LAN connection for the internet. In the hostel, they provide two meals a day; there is no breakfast. In front of our hostel, there are various playgrounds like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: In our college, some faculty members are good, but the majority are below average. Most of our faculty members completed their degrees from tier 2 or tier 3 colleges. In this course, the curriculum is mostly irrelevant. They don't prepare students to work in the industry. The difficulty level of semester exams is medium, and the pass percentage is 95.
Other: I chose this course as I didn't get a chance in NIT/IIT. The best thing about our course is that after graduation, you can either enter the IT sector or the Core sector. I hope that our college will provide good quality placements in both sectors. There are two main fests, one is the Cultural fest, and the other is the Technical fest. The Cultural fest is named JECLET, and it is the biggest fest in North Bengal.

Awesome college and challenging.
Placements: Every year, 86% of students get placed at my college. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Wipro and Adani Transmission. Almost 67% of students get internships. The top roles are electrical engineer and sound engineer.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is awesome. There are required lab facilities for students in each department. There are 55 classrooms. There are two libraries: one normal library and a digital library. The Wi-Fi facility is available. The quality of food in the canteen is good. The medical facilities are good.
Faculty: The professors are very professional. All teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They have 8 to 10 years of experience. They are very up to date. They clarify our doubts. They provide the best education. The course curriculum is superb. Semester exams are difficult, and the pass percentage is 70%.

Nice college and best facilities.
Placements: The percentage of students who were placed in our course is 79%. The highest package offered is 17 LPA and the lowest package offered is 3 to 8 LPA. Average packages offered are 10 LPA. Recruiting companies are ITC, Infosys and Microsoft. Many companies are collaborating for campus hiring. The students got internships at 92%. Roles offered are developer and cloud computing.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is amazing, and Wi-Fi facilities are good. Labs are well-equipped with all the equipment, and they provide all lab manuals. Library has all types of books for each branch. Classrooms are big. The quality of the facilities in our college is good. The hostel facilities are also good.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good; our teachers are well qualified with Ph.D.s and the highest degree. The course curriculum is relevant. The students are made ready for industries by giving workshops. The semester exams are hard to pass and 82% is the passing percentage of our batch.

Review of JGEC - Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College.
Placements: Earlier, the placement scenario at Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College was not very promising. However, there has been a significant improvement since then. In the academic year 2022-23, almost all students were placed. Among core departments, nearly 90% of students found placements, while in non-core departments, the placement rate reached 100% in big companies. The highest package offered was 63 LPA from the CSE department in a Google off-campus drive, while the lowest package recorded since 2017 was 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Infosys, TCS, Adani, Tata, among others. Approximately 97% of students secured internships, both offline and virtual, in companies like Infosys, Capgemini, Microsoft, etc. Details regarding the top roles offered have not been properly published by the college yet.
Infrastructure: Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, being one of the oldest colleges in West Bengal, suffers from poor infrastructure. The overall appearance of the college is not favorable, with the colors appearing dull. Classrooms are often dirty, with broken benches. However, each department has its own classrooms, practical rooms, and labs, equipped with Wi-Fi facilities. The college boasts of two libraries, but the condition of the hostels is subpar, with dirty bathrooms being a common issue. Despite this, the food provided in the hostel canteens is of good quality. Each hostel has its own separate canteen and a common room for recreational activities. Unfortunately, medical facilities for students are lacking, and water availability is inconsistent.
Faculty: For every department, there are almost 10 teachers, each of whom holds an M.Sc. degree. However, they do not teach us properly, and classes are often canceled due to the teachers being busy. As a result, the teaching quality is rated at 5 out of 10. The course spans 4 years, divided into 8 semesters. Each semester consists of one external exam and two internal exams for every subject. The questions are relatively easy, with a pass percentage of 40%.
Other: Two events took place: Sristri and Jaclet. The seniors are not supportive and often engage in ragging junior students.
