One of the good college for engineering.

Faculty: The teaching faculties are really good and experienced. Some of them are PhD holders with years of teaching experience and knowledge. The students need to study thoroughly to achieve good marks in exams. The teachers conduct various types of curricular activities in order to prepare students for internships.

Average facilities and environment.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and resourceful, though there are some exceptions. The curriculum is relevant if pursued with interest. Semester exams are relatively easy but require constant effort. The pass percentage is about 60%, with poorer results in earlier semesters.

It is a good government college with average placements.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. We have three internal exams per semester. The final semester exams are conducted after the internal exams. The pass percentage is 30%. Around 70% of marks are taken for the evaluation.

Review of Jorhat Engineering College.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good and they clear our doubts always. Faculty member also visit hostel 2-3 days in a week to clear our doubts. Teachers here conduct extra classes to complete the syllabus. Difficulty level of our exams is moderate. The course curriculum is relevant. The pass marks are 25 out of 70 in theory exams.

Overall good placements. Dissatisfied with the infrastructure and teaching quality.

Faculty: To be honest, teachers are knowledgeable and qualified but most of the teachers are moving on the old path of teaching. There is a lack of engagement between student and teacher. Teachers are so helpful. New astu courses are not relevant for other competitive exams. DU courses were good enough. Semester exams are not so much difficult but subjects topic are vast while there is lack of time to teach properly .

I would recommend students to join this college.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and helpful. Semester exams are not tough if students study properly. CIE papers are worth 20 marks for each subject. There are three CIEs per semester.

Satisfied and happy. Placements are good in recent years. Excellent facilities and value for money.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Some having teaching experience of 15+ years. The course is relevant but however the stuffs are more of theoretical rather than practical. However the course become practical in later semesters. Jec conducts 3 unit tests where the student become exam ready for final semester exam and hence overall percentile becomes quite good for the whole batch. The courses do Make the student industry ready but it's not on par with IITs and NITs.

Our college has excellent placements, good infrastructure, and facilities.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified and knowledgeable. Because of this, their placements are increasing. Only the 1st year teaching staff are less qualified and contractually based, so the teaching behaviour is not so good. But the 2nd, 3rd, and mainly 4th year teaching staff are very good.

It is really good government college and you can learn many things

Faculty: All the teachers were helpful except some and they all are highly qualified. Most of the teachers have done their masters and also Ph.D. from IITs and NITs. The semester exams in our college was moderate level. The question in the exam was from the syllabus.

Good college and very good academic atmosphere with the best placement.

Faculty: Throughout my 4 years of journey in my B. Tech I am very satisfied with the academic process of the college with excellent and highly fraternized faculty members with support and with a well-behaved attitude toward the students and also with an updated curriculum with job assistance.

The college is good for studies, but the placements are average.

Faculty: In Jorhat Engineering College, you have to give 3 class tests and more than 5 assignments, and they will add these internal evaluation marks to your final marks. There is too much pressure on students for their academics, but it is good.

JEC is a college with a few flaws, but it has absolutely good teachers and a VFM.

Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The course curriculum is quite balanced and follows the latest AICTE norms. But as we all know the present scenario of our Indian education system, you have to judge whether our curriculum is relevant to industrial skills or not. The toughness of exams here is average, and the pass percentage is more than 50%.
