Aircraft Maintenance Engineering- Avionics - Batch of 2018

A place for studies, nothing else.
Placements: The placements of our senior batch are good. About 90% of students of our senior batch got placed. The highest salary is Rs 15,000 and the average salaries are about Rs 5,000. All the placements are done as a walk-in. Students are placed as a technician or in managing. The students having at least one paper passed get an internship from the college.
Infrastructure: The college has a good library, electric and electronic lab and a metal workshop. It doesn't have any sports facilities or games and doesn't provide Wi-Fi to students. The classrooms are also not so comfortable and labs have a lack of some tools. It has a useless canteen which only has a lunch plate of a single choice and the quality of food is worse. Hostel rooms contain 2-3 students in one room and the hostel management is really bad. It has no student protection and the food remains worse.
Faculty: The faculty members are really good actually and it is the best thing the college has. Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified engineers and at the same time, have a very brief knowledge about their subjects. Teachers have their own style of teaching which is really good. The students to faculty ratio is low at about 20:1. We don't get any industry exposure.
Other: The college and the course has a single focus on study only. If anyone is looking for enjoying the college life, this college is not for you. The management also doesn't care about your other talents like dancing, singing, sports etc. The administrative department of the college is a group of liars. They only want to trap the students and their money. So I suggest not to trust a single word of those people. If you want to join the course, try to get information from the students.

Course and college known by a few but provides the career option dreamt by many.
Placements: Talking about the placements in this college, it's based on the ability to clear most of the modules in a certain period of the course. If we see the previous placements, last year 3 students got placed in Airbus at a higher annual package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good. However, it's not that large but large enough to accommodate the crowd of students they entertain each year. As they have a limited number of seats in each course so there are not a lot of students. The college has a hanger consisting of two planes and a helicopter. And there is a well-established practical area for students with the provided engine they need for practicals.
Faculty: As this institute has its own name which is largely established, the faculty working here is well qualified and the maximum instructors are the retired personnel from the Airforce and Air India, and others having a background of such big names. They also carry a lot of experience with them and therefore the faculty is pretty good.
Other: You'll not get to live a proper college life here as it is a course where you would be required to focus. So you'll not get that many opportunities to explore campus life but this will provide you with a white-collar job with a lot of respect. There is not a lot of crowd in the college and there is a certain number of student in each course.

No. It only takes admission in AME that is aircraft maintenance engineering which is governed by the DGCA. It is also a good course and has job scope too. If you are willing to pursue this course then go for it. Best of luck. For any further query please feel free to ask.
