KJ SIMSR college has a good campus and placements.

Placements: I heard from the seniors that the placements are very good in this college. The average salary is from 2.80 LPA to 3.60 lacs per annum. Many companies visited the campus last year for recruitment, and nearly all the students were placed in good companies with good packages.

Good college with a great ROI.

Placements: The placements are decent in the college. There are many companies coming on campus. Few companies also recruit in pool campus organised in SIMSR. Most marketing students get placed in sales. Finance has a diverse profile to offer. The star attraction is the consultancy placements followed by BFSI and FMCG. Some start ups have also started recruiting recently from our campus. Very good in terms of ROI.

Average college, but self development opportunities are present.

Placements: The placements are pretty okay for the senior batch. Nearly, 20 students are not placed. Finally, 25 percent of the students got a package in the range of 6.5 to 8 lacs per annum. In summers, almost everyone got placed. Nearly, 15 percent students didn't get any stipend. Good companies will come to the campus for the placements.

Really good ROI with best infrastructure possible in the heart of Financial centre of India.

Placements: 480 students were placed for 2016-18 batch. Most big brands from all the sectors were on campus for recruitment. Students from all the specialisation got enough opportunities to select from a range of companies. Increase in number of PPO offered from past years.

The best in return on investment among other private colleges.

Placements: The placements for our senior batch were almost equivalent to the previous trends although GST and demonetization troubled the economy. They were offered an average package of 9.19 LPA. A lot of PPOs were offered for our batch compared to the senior batch. The placements were better in terms of the number of companies hiring and packages but low on the usual plethora of various core companies coming at the end of Q3. The average package rose to 10.05 LPA, thus I can say placements were on a good...

One of the good tier-2 colleges in Mumbai.

Placements: Almost everyone was placed for the summer internship. There are some 10 students left for the senior batch. For summers, the highest package was Rs. 75,000 and for seniors, it was Rs. 48,00,000. Most of the companies came for marketing and finance profiles. There were some companies which didn't really care about the stream.

A good college is tier-II.

Placements: It is a tier-II college. There is a placement cell. The average package offered is 9-9.5 LPA. Summer internship maximum package is Rs. 75,000 per month and the lowest is no package given. There are 100% placements for both summer internship and final placements. In marketing, mostly sales profile is offered.

SIMSR: Top notch faculty members.

Placements: Placements are moderate in terms of packages. However SIMSR has a 100% placement record every year. If you manage to have good communication skills you can easily secure a package above 10 Lacs. The average package is 9 - 9.5 with the lowest being 6.

Review about SIMSR Mumbai.

Placements: In summers, the junior batch gets placed with an average salary of Rs. 15,000 per month. The seniors batch is also almost placed with an average package of 9.5 LPA. In our campus, many reputed companies visit the college to recruit. The roles offered are related to the marketing and sales, finance, operations and HR.

A good college in terms of ROI.

Placements: Placements are good. Companies coming are good but the avg. package is around 10 LPA. The scenario for the internships is average. However, profiles for operations field are not that good. It's best for marketing field and then finance. But a good college in terms of ROI.

Try to get something better.

Placements: Lot of big brands come here. They offer packages for tier 2 colleges. For more or less same role, packages offered by these companies vary hugely. One happy news is everyone gets placed. Problem is placement process is not transparent and sometimes creates issues.

The college has good placement, infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: There are off-campus placements for us, but place assistance should be provided. Also, to get us connected with alumni and develop a good network of industry and academics. Need to collaborate other top B-school so that there are participation and networking. Toastmasters is a nice club for refining one's skills.

Mediocre pay, okay profile, poor learning atmosphere, no professionalism.

Placements: Pay is mediocre however profile which comes to campus are not MBA profiles. 20% people end up with good profile, however 60-70 % end up in BFSI and IT is random profile. Finance is good for learning and placement. Operations is small batch with good profiles, but you should have a strong background to sell urself. Marketing is huge batch with aot on luck. HR is a straight no at SIMSR with no placement. Avg 9.5-10 l, the highest 26l, with 10 fix, 4 variable, remaining favorites and ESOP.

A review on KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research.

Placements: The placements are average. The college focuses only on getting everyone placed. The college does not care about the aspirations of the students. The placements at KJ Somaiya is purely based on luck. You won't get shortlisted for the company that you want. The placement committee members (student-driven committee selected by placement coordinator sir) do a lot of politics with the companies of their interest. 95% of the students get placed. Rest of them remain unplaced or backed out of campus pl...

Some sweet and bitter experience.

Placements: Multiple companies on board. But the package offered is less and college inflates the facts. The companies are decent but profiles are not up to the mark. Most of the students get placed under 10 Lacs per annum. IT and BFSI are the biggest recruiters. If you're looking for MBA in operations then please don't look for core profiles.

Satisfaction level post attending the college is below average as compared to what I had dreamt.

Placements: The college provides you less than average placement. It has almost completed 40 years, and with that sort of experience it should have huge alumni connect, and the expectation should be very high, but the college has achieved nothing of this sort. Meer focus is on getting the number of placements, the quality and brand take a back seat, and students are forced to sit in certain companies, and if they try to tank the process, they are banned from companies. Having said that not everything is bad...
