The college has an excellent brand recognition in the market. The college has begun steps to connect the alumni and the current students which is helping the current students to understand what is really required to be in the industry. The college has also started to encourage students to take part in B-School competition which is also a great initiative.

Located in one of the central locations of Mumbai, this is one of the very few colleges that treats education as a value and not as business. If you have a zest to improve and enrich your personality along with decent placements, then this is the right place for you. Nothing is forced, but left to the individual. Campus life and infrastructure is top class. The corporate connections of the college are well utilised in terms of guest lectures and placements.

SUMMARY So here's the quickie for the impatient ones. Go for it without a blink, if your priority is return on investment - getting a competent average package vis-a-vis your landed fee. The key positives are location, the infrastructure-rich campus itself, the 'recognized' Somaiya brand, diverse range of corporations lining up for placement, faculty with rich industry exposure, omnipresent and increasingly well-leveraged alumni base. That said, the areas of improvements in that order are an in...

The placement scenario of the college is improving year on year with more than 110 companies visiting the campus. This year it is surely to increase as the Placement committee team is charging on. The facilities are awesome. For a sports fanatic it is paradise - tennis, football, squash, badminton, synthetic jogging track to name a few. SIMSR offers its student with great knowledge and practical learning's thanks to its highly efficient teaching and assessment methodologies and highly experien...

Its a 2 year full-time management course with a core specialisation subject to choose in the second year. In the first year, one will be exposed to basics of management like accounting, marketing, human resource and supply chain basics. These are the key essential components of any business. All the subjects will be accompanied by practical case presentations where a group is expected to conduct an extensive research on a particular topic and present it to the class.

It is a very good college and worth all the mone. It has highly reputed faculty and infrastructure. Pros: Infrastructure, Experienced Faculty and lots of options for extracurricular activities, fun filled fests and mix of committees to learn and develop interpersonal skills Cons:- Less salary packages compared to other B-Schools in Mumbai. Go for it if you have decent score and want to enjoy as well as learn college life.

It's amazing college with superb faculty but needs to be more aggressive in terms of it's corporate presence. It has amazing facility and faculty but lack the corporate push. The support from the teaching staff is amazing but management purely focus on education delivery rather than enhancing the skill set along with curriculum.

Review of SIMSR Mumbai - KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research.

Placements: Placements are conducting very good this year, and the average salary package offered this year is around 11 LPA. Any student who is in the top 25% of the batch utilises the opportunity to get more than 15 LPA. Course wise salary packages until the previous year is provided on the website for better clarity. But placements are common for all the courses.

SIMSR is a good place to study here.

Placements: Placements are decent enough compared to any other AAAA rated college. The best part is the return on investment is better than most other colleges. The college also organises summer placements, so students don't have to worry about a compulsory summer internship. Most people manage to get paid internships. The highest internship offered was Rs. 60,000 per month.
