Review of Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
Placements: Companies visiting our campus is a common thing, as the college guarantees 100% placement. During my final year of placement, quiet high companies like Coca-Cola, Byju's, and Nestled hired many classmates with a high package of 5 to 10 lacs. Students who register for placement college send them for internships, in which they provide training and hands-on experience with a good stipend, which is very useful in interviews. Most questions are asked about internships.
Infrastructure: The college is away from the city; there are no cultural programs on campus. The climate on campus is warm, giving off a chill vibe. We have a big central library on campus where books, newspapers, magazines, and novels are available. Labs can do better if there are problems with computers. Yes, the hostel is there but the food is very low quality. The canteen is good; it has a good seating arrangement and good-quality food. In college, many students are state-level sports players.
Faculty: Teachers are not friendly; they are strict, They need to understand that we are now adults and can take care about ourselves. course is for 2 years 1st year fees is 2.44 lakhs; 2nd year fees is 2.34 lakhs; the syllabus is updated. Exams are by college and end-of-term exam. By college, there are internal exams, in which 2 class test and 1 mid term exam included.
Other: Admission is done on the basis of CAT and academic score, both of which need a high score.

I am satisfied with the supportive faculty members.
Placements: Some of our seniors got placed in good companies. The highest salary package offered is 14 LPA. Companies like Byju's, Jaro and Grant Thornton visit our college for placements. The average salary package offered is very low, that is 3 LPA. Our college ensures 100% placements. We have to get an internship on our own. Our college is connected with IASTE, which offers international internships. The college offers specialisation in marketing, finance, HR and logistics.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a great infrastructure and a good hostel facility. Quality of the food served is somewhat average. Medical facilities, sports and games are good. There are plenty of sports options. A gym facility is also available here. The canteen is not available in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are polite and helpful. All teachers have technical skills. The course curriculum is updated timely. All teacher are qualified. They have a lot of experience in the field. They are very supportive. They also mentor students and encourage a successful life.
Other: Our college conducts great extracurricular activities. Our college provides a lot of industrial visits.

I am completely dissatisfied because lecturers have very poor knowledge and bad placements sessions.
Placements: About 90% of the students from our course were placed, but the chances of getting core companies are very low. The highest salary package so far was offered by Byju's, and it was 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Colgate, IBM, Byju's, Jaro, etc. All these companies hire marketing students as their sales executives. The lowest salary package so far was offered by IBM, and it was 2.32 LPA, and the role offered is a voice processing unit. One student got selected in Colgate, while 2 students got selected in Byju's and 2 students in NewAge Solutions, 3 students in Coco-Cola and 3 students in IBM.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is excellent, and it is very pleasant to stay in this kind of hilly areas. There is no pollution as it has a good and safe environment. You can also grow up in your spiritual life. There is a separate library for management students, but the availability of books is very low. Students will get Wi-Fi facilities both in hostel and classrooms. The food served in the hostel is very bad and can't expect more in those areas.
Faculty: Teachers of this university are very helpful, but they don't have knowledge about the subject but teach the students. Some teachers don't even speak proper English. Partiality among the students and teachers are very high here. The course curriculum will be very good in this university, and you won't find this kind of curriculum in any university.
Other: I expected that I would get a good salary package, so I chose an MBA. Without any knowledge about the college, I attended the interview and joined in this college. But after joining in this college, I came to know the true colours of this institution and felt very sad. But the thing is you can grow spiritually, even though you don't have subject knowledge.

The college provides an excellent environment for students.
Placements: Almost 85% of the students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Companies like Oyo, GSK, Colgate, etc., visited the campus and offered roles like HR manager, finance, logistics, marketing, business analyst and international business. Only 20% of students got an internship from college because most of the students want to do an internship at their suitable location.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, restroom, washroom, library, game room, etc., are available in college. The quality of the food is very good, and it was awesome. Canteen is nice, and the hospital is available near the hostel. All sports and games facilities are also available on the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good and useful for the growth for the students. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is helpful for the students to get ready for the industrial environment.

It's a good place to gain knowledge and learn, but there are no placements.
Placements: The companies offered only sales jobs for operations, marketing and logistics, and no core jobs were offered. We can get sales jobs in off-campus placements also. According to my experience, there are no proper placements in the college. They completely depend on KSM placement officer. He is not capable of getting good placements, and he does not care about the students. He simply does his work and doesn't interact with students, and this is the main drawback of a placement officer. A placement officer should be a motivator and be like a teacher to make the students improve their skills, etc. I am telling about the placement officer of KSM in the year 2016-2017. If he would not be there, then the scenario would be different.
Infrastructure: The college has a world-class campus with all facilities like high-speed internet in classrooms, digital textbooks, library, etc. We have Seesha for health care, and there are many grounds to play. The food in the canteen, as well as the hostel, is very good and tasty. Also, we have fully secured rooms in the hostels.
Faculty: Maximum, all the faculty members of the college are PhD holders and have both industrial and theoretical knowledge. They give high deliverables to the students. The course curriculum can be updated as per the market. We can choose electives, and we have industrial visits also. The method of teaching is case study where we are given real-world problems to analyse the situations. I will give a 10/10 for the course curriculum.
Other: We have all the events and fests conducted yearly.

Extraordinary placement cell.
Placements: The placements, for the 2015-2017 passed out batch, 98% eligible students were placed in more than 40 companies like Colgate, Byju's Think and Learn, BMW, Naukri, Neeyamo etc. While the 2016-2018 batch students placement is undergoing with 93% of students already placed before course completion as of March 2018 with the highest CTC of 12 Lacs at Amazon and an average of 4.8 Lacs per annum and in companies like Grant Thornton, Colgate, Palmolive etc. The placement training starts the first year itself and it is one of a kind training by Mr. Austin. There will be two full-time internships- one at the end of the first year and another at the end of the second year. Usually, the students get placed before the second internship starts which is why there is an internship in the first year.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure is decent with amazingly fast Wi-Fi enabled campus. ( should be paid in annual). The University has a hospital close by and all sports and games facilities are available. If applying under sports quota then depending on the skills fee concession is available. Some students have qualified for 100% scholarships in the previous years. The classrooms and lab are decent. The food in the canteen is good. And there are food courts and cafe coffee day shops on the university campus nearby. You can grab a bicycle from the university (less than a km from the business school campus) and travel around. It's a fully residential programme unless the student is a day scholar in Coimbatore with Ration card as proof. You can check out the hostel and campus by visiting anytime. Rs.51000 has to be paid to secure your seat which shall be added to the fee and refundable if the student wishes not to pursue the programme.
Faculty: The faculty members are very well qualified. You can change the faculty if you feel the faculty isn't up to your expectation. There is 3 internal assessment in a semester. The 1st IA will be an Individual or Group assignment, the second IA will be written exam and/or online quiz which will be conducted online through learning management system. The 3rd IA will be a Mini project. And finally, there will be Semester exam in the end which will be of 100 marks. The Semester Exam 100 marks will be converted to 40% and added to semester final marks plus the average of marks scored by the student in internal assessment. 10 marks is assigned for each subject for class participation. If you take Finance as Major specialisation then you can complete ACCA (UK) by completing 6 papers only. The rest of the papers out of 14 papers are exempted for Karunya University Students due to the quality of the syllabus. Industrial visits will be granted upon demand by the students every semester. Value added courses such as Digital Marketing, IFRS, Certified recruitment analyst, Project Management etc. Are available and they do not form part of the credit system and are based on the individuals choice.
Other: There will be multiple workshops and events on the campus and funds available on request. There are a lot of clubs such as Leadership and Management club, Rotaract, Entrepreneurship cell and Student Clubs. Professional student clubs like Finance Club, Digital Marketing Club, HR Club, Logistics Operation and supply chain management. There are social clubs such as public speaking club, Healthy Living Club, Photography Club and so on.
