TANCET 2025 Application Form: Anna University will host TANCET registration 2025 on the official website, tancet.annauniv.edu. Candidates failing to apply before TANCET last date are marked ineligible for MBA/MCA exam. Candidates aspiring for MBA admissions in Tamil Nadu have to fill and submit TANCET application form 2025 online by visiting the official website. The TANCET application process includes multiple steps, such as one-time registration, filling in personal and academic details, uploading documents, payment of fee, and more. If the previous year's trends are followed, candidates under the UR categories have to pay INR 1000, while the reserved categories must pay INR 500 as the TANCET registration fee.

Last year, 39301 candidates applied for the TANCET and CEETA PG exams, of which 34020 candidates applied for MBA and MCA courses collectively. Candidates aspiring for MBA/MCA courses must apply for TANCET 2025 exam, while aspirants for Engineering admission have to apply for CEETA PG. Prerequisites for TANCET 2025 Application Process

Candidates must have the following details/ documents with them before they start the TANCET registration:

  • Valid email ID and mobile number
  • Registration number/ Roll number and year of the passing of Class 10
  • Coloured passport-size photo of 200x300 pixels resolution
  • Copy of community certificate in PDF format (for SC/ST/SCA categories)
  • Scanned signature of 200x70 pixels resolution
  • Registration number and year of the passing of Class 12
  • Bank details online payment of TANCET application fee

Q:   When will the registration for TANCET begin?

A:
Based on the previous year's time schedule, Anna University will release the TANCET application form around the first week of February. Candidates aspiring for MBA or MCA admission in 200+ colleges of Tamil Nadu will have to apply for the TANCET exam. All successful applicants are issued the TANCET hall ticket around 10 days before the exam date. As per the typical schedule, TANCET registration is available for a period nearing to one month. Candidates must stay cautious of the deadlines if they wish to apply for the TANCET exam.

Q:   Is there any age limit to appear for TANCET exam?

A:
No. Anna University has not specified any age limit for admission based on TANCET. However, candidates must meet all other eligibility conditions specified in the information bulletin. Additionally, candidates need to meet the eligibility conditions defined by the participating colleges to get the admission based on TANCET scores. Several institutes accepting TANCET MBA scores might have an upper age limit condition in place. Therefore, candidates must apply for the TANCET exam only after checking the eligibility conditions specified by the desired TANCET college.

How to Fill TANCET 2025 Application Form?

TANCET 2025 application process is a seven-step process. Candidates need to complete all the steps to submit the form. Only the candidates filling the application form before the last date are issued the TANCET admit card to appear for the exam. The space below mentions the steps to fill out the TANCET 2025 application form:

Step 1: TANCET Registration

Candidates need to complete the one-time registration as the first step of the TANCET application process:

  1. Visit the official exam website of TANCET 2025 or follow the URL mentioned here: tancet.annauniv.edu
  2. Click on the 'Click Here' button available against the text reading 'For Online Registration' 
  3. Enter the details including name, email ID, mobile number, date of birth, password, SSLC registration number, nativity, etc.
  4. Create a password and choose the PG professional course for admission based on TANCET 2025
  5. Enter the captcha code followed by hitting the 'Submit' button

Step 2: TANCET Login

After completing the registration, candidates receive an email stating that the one-time registration for TANCET 2025 is complete and the candidates can proceed to fill out the application form. Registered email ID and password aid the TANCET login process. After logging in, candidates need to proceed further to fill the details and upload the documents in the application form.

Step 3: Filling Personal Details in TANCET Application Form

Candidates can proceed to fill in their personal details. The personal details to be filled in the TANCET application form include:

  • Nationality
  • Address
  • City
  • Pincode
  • State

After filling in the above-mentioned details, candidates need to click on the 'Next' button.

Step 4: Filling Educational Details in TANCET Application Form

Candidates need to fill in the academic details while completing the TANCET application process. The list of academic details to be entered while filling out the application form is as follows:

  • SSLC/ Class 10 registration number
  • Year of passing SSLC/ Class 10
  • HSC/ Class 12 registration number
  • Year of passing HSC/ Class 12
  • Qualifying degree name
  • Spacialisation in the qualifying degree
  • Year of completing the qualifying degree

Candidates must click on the 'Next' button to proceed further with the next step of the TANCET 2025 registration.

NOTE: Candidates whose qualifying exam result is awaited can also apply. In the field for 'Year of Passing' the degree, candidates must type NA

Step 5: Filling Examination Details in TANCET Application Form

Post filling in the academic details, candidates need to choose the exam city from the list of TANCET exam centres. In addition, candidates need to choose the course name for admission based on TANCET. Click on the 'Save & Continue' button after filling in the exam details.

Step 6: Uploading Documents in TANCET Application Form

Candidates need to upload documents, including a photograph and signature while filling out the TANCET application form. The documents are to be uploaded in a specified format to avoid the cancellation of the candidature. The process to upload the photograph and signature while filling the TANCET form is as follows:

  1. Choose the image file from the system
  2. After the image preview is available, click on the 'Upload' button if the image appears fine
  3. After the image is uploaded, click on the 'Next' button

Step 7: Confirm Details Filled in TANCET Application Form

After the candidates have completed all the steps mentioned above, the final stage is to confirm all the details. In this step, candidates are able to check all the details they entered in the previous steps along with the preview of the images uploaded. If there is a discrepancy in any details appearing on the screen, candidates must edit the same. This step before the final submission is critical as Anna University does not provide any window for TANCET application form correction.

Step 8: Payment of TANCET Application Fee

After confirming the details entered in the TANCET application form, candidates need to pay an application fee based on their category. Reserved category candidates get a fee concession. Anna University will not refund the application fee. Thus, candidates must check all the details carefully before the fee payment.

Q:   What is the mode for TANCET registration?

A:
Anna University releases the TANCET application form in an online mode. Candidates who wish to apply for the TANCET exam need to apply for the exam online. No other mode is available for the TANCET registration. Anna University will not entertain any requests for offline submission of the application form. After submitting the online application form, candidates must take a print out of the TANCET filled in form to retain the same for future references. However, this print-out must not be sent to the official authority via fax or post. TANCET form print out is for retainment by the applicant.

Q:   How many exam city preferences can I choose while filling the TANCET application form?

Candidates can choose up to one exam city preference while filling the application form. Anna University allots the exam centre within the preferred exam city or at a the nearest location to the city. However, choosing the exam city preference while filling the form will not guarantee allotment of the exam centre in that particular city. Anna University allocates the test centre considering the best possible comfort of the test takers. Anna University does not entertain any requests for change in the exam centre of exam city.

Soon after the TANCET registration window opens, Anna University starts releasing the application status PDF. The TANCET application status PDF comprises the list of test takers who did not upload the images with the correct specifications or who failed to upload any image. Such candidates are allowed to access the TANCET login portal and make the required rectifications. Candidates are allowed to upload a new image with the correct specifications. Candidates failing to use the login to get the correct image uploaded are not issued the TANCET hall ticket.

Q:   What are the upload specifications for documents to be uploaded during TANCET application process?

Candidates filling the TANCET application form need to upload scanned images of photograph and signature in a pre defined format. Q:   What is TANCET application fee? Do reserved categories have any fee concessions?

A:
TANCET application fee may or may not change across exam sessions. The application fee for TANCET was revised in 2023 exam session. Earlier, candidates had to pay INR 400 if they belonged to reserved categories and INR 800 if they belonged to unreserved categories. However in 2023 exam session, the fee for your categories and reserved categories was hiked to INR 1000 and INR 500, respectively. Since the exam fees was revised in the recent session, Anna University is unlikely to change the same for TANCET 2024. However, the application details along with the TANCET 2024 registration fee is to release soon.

Candidates can complete the TANCET registration process in an online mode. Candidates meed not visit anywhere to submit the form offline or send the hard copy of the filled in form. No. TANCET application fee is payable in an online mode. Candidates who complete the TANCET registration can pay the application fee via debit card, credit card, or internet banking services. The application fee for TANCET exam varies across categories. In the 2023 session, reserved category candidates had to pay INR 500 as the application fee. On the contrary, the TANCET 2023 application fee paid by the unreserved category candidates was INR 1,000. No separate window for correction in TANCET 2025 application will be made available by the examination authority.
